Speed: I thought I heard something when I was listening to the tape, now tell me if you here this. *clicks mouse*

Horatio: *tilts head* ...

Speed: *squints*

Horatio: ...What in the hell is that?

Speed: It's a clicking sound.

Horatio: Sounds like metal.

Speed: Yeah I was thinking of something that could make that sound, and then I remembered when I walked in, it smelled different in there.

Horatio: How do you mean?

Speed: Well, besides the blood, it smelled like smoke.

Horatio: You don't smoke do you?

Speed: No, and neither did Katie.

Horatio: So it's very possible, that someone was closing a lighter.

Speed: And that means someone was in the room as she died.

Horatio: Maybe he left something we can use.

Speed: *nods*

Horatio: Take Eric, and go back there.

Speed: Will do. *leaves*

Horatio: Status on the weapon.

Calleigh: The gun isn't registered.

Horatio: Well, it's probably why he left it at the scene.

Calleigh: Looks like it's a dead end, sorry.

Apartment

Delko: So, what are we looking for again?

Speed: *steps over blood* Someone was in here smoking.

Delko: So?

Speed: So look around.

Delko: You think he was actually stupid enough to put out his cigarette in here?

Speed: *kneels* Yeah.

Delko: You're kidding me.

Speed: *picks up cigarette butt* It was under the table.

Delko: So we have his spent cigarette.

Speed: We have his DNA.

Delko: Well at least we're getting somewhere.

Speed: *stands, walks over to blood pool*

Delko: What?

Speed: There's ash in the blood.

Delko: ...The killer was standing over her, watching her die.

Horatio: *walking*

Speed: Hey H, I got the results from the DNA. It didn't match the epithelials recovered from the body. It does, however match the cigarette.

Horatio: Really. Do tell.

Speed: I didn't get anything from CODIS, but I checked the FBI database. Trevor's name came up.

Horatio: Interesting. Why was his DNA in the system?

Speed: He was investigated for conspiring with a felon.

Horatio: Ramirez.

Speed: Yeah, so I checked with Calleigh. She finished up on the knife, and the prints are a match to Ramirez.

Horatio: So there were two people there.

Speed: Yeah.

Horatio: Do we know where Ramirez is now?

Speed: No, but I cross-referenced his DNA with the epithelials, and it matches.

Horatio: So Trevor stood by, smoking his cigarette, while Ramirez finished the job.

Speed: Exactly.

Horatio: Let's go find Ramirez.

Speed: I'll put it over the wires. *leaves*

Calleigh: *runs over* Horatio, we have a visitor.

Horatio: *stops walking, looks in interview room*

Trevor is sitting in a chair

Horatio: *smiles* Wonderful.

Interview room

Horatio: *walks in* Trevor.

Trevor: Look, I want you to know that I'm prepared to cooperate in your investigation to get Ramirez behind bars.

Horatio: How commendable. *gets out cell phone*

Trevor: I'd like to testify as a witness.

Horatio: *looking down at phone* Well actually that won't happen. At the most, you're an accomplice.

Trevor: I came forward.

Horatio: Yes you did.

Trevor: I'm willing to help. I know where Ramirez is hiding, and I can give you names of about fifteen guys transporting drugs from Brazil to Miami.

Horatio: I'd like to focus on this murder at the moment.

Trevor: Alright. You mind if I smoke.

Horatio: Actually I do, so put that out please.

Trevor: ...*sigh* Fine.

Horatio: *puts phone up to ear* Yes, could you get in here please? Thank you. *closes phone* So, tell me what happened.

Trevor: In exchange for what?

Horatio: I didn't say we were exchanging anything.

Speed: *walks in*

Trevor: What's he doing here?

Horatio: Why?

Trevor: He's not supposed to be on the case. It's a conflict of interests.

Speed: *crosses arms*

Trevor: I want my lawyer.

Horatio: After you answer my questions.

Trevor: I'm not answering anything.

Speed: *walks around behind Trevor* It doesn't look like he's talking.

Horatio: *closes blinds* It appears not.

Trevor: What are you doing?

Horatio: It gets a little too bright in here.

Trevor: What are you going to do to me?

Speed: Why, you scared?

Trevor: *turns around* No.

Horatio: Trevor, take a look at these pictures.

Trevor: *turns back to Horatio*

Horatio: *opens folder*

Horatio: That's a muzzle stamp. Now, we weren't able to find a registry on the gun, but I bet if we call up the FBI on your conspiracy charge, they'll be more than happy to confirm who the gun belongs to.

Trevor: That charge is pending.

Speed: How about a whole new charge for your rap sheet?

Trevor: What, murder? I didn't kill her. Ramirez did.

Horatio: Trevor, many things can lead to murder.

Trevor: Yeah well it wasn't me.

Horatio: Take a look at her face.

Trevor: *looks down*

Horatio: You destroyed her life, and probably your own.

Trevor: I'm not saying anything.

Speed: It doesn't matter. She's telling us everything.

Trevor: So why haven't you arrested me if her corpse is so talkative?

Horatio: You can end this right now, or you can keep this game going.

Speed: Where's Ramirez?

Trevor: You didn't ask very nicely.

Speed: Where's Ramirez, jackass.

Trevor: *laughs* He's probably after your precious daughter now.

Speed: *looks at Horatio*

Horatio: *nods*

Speed: *grabs Trevor*

Horatio: *takes out gun*

Trevor: No one touches me.

Speed: I'm not going to touch you, the bullet will.

Trevor: Funny. You think this is going to stop me? I've got people in high places.

Horatio: Put down your weapon.

Trevor: Does anyone actually listen to you?

Horatio: I gotta tell you, it never ends well for the criminal.

Trevor: Maybe this'll be the first time.

Speed: I hate to break it to you, but two guns are better than one.

Trevor: Yours probably doesn't work.

Speed: *smirks* You wanna test that theory?

Trevor: *frowns*

Horatio: Drop the gun.

Trevor: Or what, you'll kill me? I'll take that over prison anyday.

Speed: Okay. *cocks gun*

Horatio: Speed...Take it easy.

Trevor: You always obey your master?

Speed: *frowns*

Horatio: Speed, don't do it.

Trevor: Oh wacha gonna do now? It's either kill me, or be killed.

Horatio: No one is going to be killed, now put down the gun.

Trevor: Why don't you put down your gun?

Horatio: I can't do that.

Trevor: Then it looks like we're in a bit of a pickle.

Oh don't worry about that, there's a reason I've left everyone out for this long.

And Katie, I like the way you think. Perhaps Trevor wants to try death instead of prison. - Well besides the fact he would be someone's bum buddy, but still.

Carly: I've been going to target practice.

Jess: I've been going with her.

Carole: I just wanted in.

Missy: Ten bucks for me if I get him between the eyes.

JC: Hey if you miss, I get to run him over with the Hummerhome.

Speed: *smirks*

Speed: I don't know what's next for you, and frankly I don't care.

Trevor: So you finally got your revenge.

Speed: No, I didn't. But it looks like you got yours.

Patrol cop: *grabs Trevor, leads him away*

Horatio: Well done.

Calleigh: *smiles*

Delko: *nods*

Carly: Glad we could help.

Anni: I really wanted to shoot him.

JC: Can I still run him over?

Missy: *laughs*

Carole: *looks at gun* These things are huge.

Jess: You'll get used to it.

Horatio: Alright. *looks at everyone* Looks like we're goin' on a road trip.

JC: YES. I'll start up the Hummerhome.

Horatio: Okay, get going.

Everyone leaves

Horatio: Speed.

Speed: *turns around*

Horatio: Nice job.

Speed: ...It doesn't bring her back. *leaves*
