....Ok I'm not going to lost another kid because then I'd have to call social services on myself for being a bad parent. But awww Speed and I had a moment. *sniff* I remember the whole sandwhich thing and how I was supposed to keep it until it collected enough dust to cover Texas. Teehee.

Speed: Some people just aren't meant for each other.

Katie: ...So why do we both need each other so much?

Speed: *looks at Katie*
Awww I found that so cute! All I can really say is Awww. And yes I know I say that a lot but it was cute.

I wonder what's wrong with Holly. Is it just a bad fever or is something else wrong!!! Update soon please!

AW ....GENI! I hate cliffhangers! lol. Poor Holly, lil thing is sick and now she's not breathing. That was a very cute moment between Speed and Katie, so now we know that they at least still care for each other and they should, since they are the parents of their children. But now we're at a cliffhanger and we don't know what's wrong with Holly and I hate cliffhangers! lol

Hahaha Eric is apparently getting better at video games. Either that or I suck at them lol. And ew, sticking toothpicks up your nose, wouldn't that hurt? lol I would think that it did, then again I've never tried and I'm not about to....

Great update Geni, you're doing amazing!

:D

Only Just Begun To Fall

Hospital, midnight

Katie: Doctor, do you know what's wrong?

Speed: You have any information?

Doctor: *looks down at chart* Your daughter doesn't have a last name?

Speed/Katie: Speedle.

Katie: *looks at Speed*

Speed: *looks at Katie*

Doctor: ...Well in any case, we've done some blood work and Holly has an immunodeficiency virus at first glance.

Speed: What, like AIDS?

Doctor: No. There are different branches of the virus. The one your daughter has can clear up on it's own given time.

Katie: So is she okay?

Doctor: Right now we're going to observe her for the next week or so. She's a very sick little girl.

Speed: What could cause this?

Doctor: Any number of things could cause a virus like this. She could have something else which is causing these symptoms, or it could be hereditary.

Katie: Hereditary? *slaps Speed*

Speed: OW. I didn't give her HIV.

Doctor: She doesn't have HIV. Her immune system has been compromised by something and we need to figure out what it was. It could be because of something else she has.

Katie: Well she did have a flu shot last week.

Doctor: At a clinic?

Katie: Of course at a clinic. What kind of mother do you think I am? It's not like I took her to the streets of Miami and asked a crack whore to give her a little somethin'.

Speed: Katie...

Katie: Sorry.

Doctor: There's one other thing it could be. Cancer.

Speed: *lifts brow*

Doctor: Has she complained of a cough or blood in the urine, or headaches and fever?

Katie: She's nine.

Doctor: It's important to know.

Katie: She's had a cough for a few days.

Doctor: Any indigestion or difficulty swallowing?

Katie: Not that I know of.

Doctor: Okay, we're going to test her for a few different kinds of cancer, and I'm going to need to test you both as well.

Speed: Why?

Doctor: It's important.

Katie: We'll do whatever you need.

7 am, Hospital

Doctor: *walks over* We have the results.

Katie: What does she have?

Doctor: Hepatocellular Cancer.

Speed: What the hell is that?

Doctor: It's in her liver. We think it's stage four.

Katie: Stage four? What does that mean?

Doctor: The cancer has spread to her kidneys and pancreas. That's why it's causing an immunodeficiency.

Speed: Stage four, that's bad right?

Doctor: Unfortunately the disease becomes more aggressive as it spreads. She's probably had it for a year, maybe two. Symptoms don't show up for a while.

Katie: *looks down at floor*

Speed: What causes it?

Doctor: Genes carried from one of the parents or even both can play a huge part in the cancer's development. That's why we needed to test both of you.

Katie: And?

Doctor: Your husband carries the gene.

Katie: *looks at Speed*

Speed: ...Well it's not my fault.

Doctor: Of course not. There's no way to predict what could happen. I need to take care of some tests, so I'll see you two later. *leaves*

Katie: *sigh* Great.

Speed: *holds Katie's hand*

Katie: *hugs Speed*

TBC...........

Awwww! Its always Speed's fault isn't it? Well its not really his fault but...oh you know what I mean lol. Anyways poor Holly having cancer poor thing she's only nine *huggles* And awww Speed held my hand and I hugged him. I win Teehee. This is all very sad and very intreging (i don't think that was the word I was looking for though lol)update soon please.

Not What You Get

Hospital room, 8 am

Holly: Momma?

Katie: *smiles* Hey. How are you feeling?

Holly: Why am I in a hospital?

Katie: You're sick.

Holly: Does this mean I don't have to go to school?

Katie: *laughs* Yeah.

Holly: *holding teddy* Blue can stay with me right?

Katie: Of course he can.

Speed: *walks in, sits down* Hey you're awake.

Holly: *smiles* Hi daddy.

Speed: Are you comfortable?

Holly: Yup. One of the nurses gave me a big ol' pillow.

Speed: That's good.

Holly: ...Momma why are you crying?

Katie: *sniff* It's nothing.

Holly: It's gonna be okay momma.

Katie: *nods*

Speed: Why don't you go downstairs and get some lunch.

Katie: Yeah, okay. *leaves*

Holly: *sigh* I'm gonna die aren't I?

Speed: *lifts brow*

Holly: Momma never cries.

Speed: She's very...Emotional. She gets that way sometimes.

Holly: Daddy you've never lied to me before.

Speed: I know.

Holly: Am I going to die?

Speed: Yes.

Holly: *nods* So what about momma? Do you love her?

Speed: ...

Lori: *runs in* I hate the buses in Miami. One simple direction. HOSPITAL and he has the nerve to ask which one.

Speed: You sure know how to make an entrance.

Lori: Where's mom?

Speed: She's downstairs.

Lori: Hey Holly guess what I brought for you. *holds out dvds*

Holly: *extends arms* BLUE'S CLUES!

Lori: That's right. I'm going to put the show on so you can watch it in here ALL the time.

Holly: YAY!

Speed: *stands* Lori and I will be right back. *leaves*

Lori: ...Okay. *leaves*

Hall

Lori: Okay so what's up?

Speed: She has about a week.

Lori: To live?

Speed: *frowns*

Lori: Sorry I felt like we were on the set of 'Days of Our Lives' for a second.

Speed: This is serious.

Lori: I know. I make jokes in uncomfortable situations.

Speed: I want you to stay with her today.

Lori: Why, where are you going?

Speed: I have a job.

Lori: You're going to work? What kind of sweat shop is H running?

Speed: To you he's Horatio and he's not running a sweat shop. Your mother can't pay for the bill.

Lori: Then I'll get a job.

Speed: You're almost sixteen.

Lori: Yeah and its legal in this state to get a job.

Speed: Where are you going to work?

Lori: I don't know, the lab needs a janitor right?

Speed: No. You are not working anywhere near the lab.

Lori: Why not?

Speed: Because I said so.

Lori: Fine, hog it to yourself.

Speed: Get a normal teenager job.

Lori: Which is...

Speed: McDonalds like everyone else.

Lori: I'm not working in a burger shop.

Speed: Stay here. I'm going to work.

Lori: Fine.

Speed: *leaves*

Lori: He gets grumpier every day. I swear.

TBC..........

Hey don't knock Days Of Our Lives. Sure Belle and Shawn and Phillip and MiMi have there problems and and and Hope's one son that I can't remember his name died but ...ok that show is pretty screwed up.

Holly: It's gonna be okay momma.

Katie: *nods
Awww I love it when little kids try to comfort the parents its so cute.

Holly: Am I going to die?

Speed: Yes.
Awwww! *huggles...everyone*

Holly: *nods* So what about momma? Do you love her?

Speed: ...

Lori: *runs in*
Aww seriously everytime.

Speed: She has about a week.
Aww poor thing she's only nine. And to die at such a young age is so sad.

How cute was it that Lori wanted to get a job to help pay for thte medical bill. She's a good kid. And ok I feel like i'm talking like i'm an 60 year old woman. Anyways update soon please!

 Yes, I always have to kill the cute ones. It's the golden rule. I killed mental patient Lori, and I killed Teague (But he wasn't very cute) and I killed Riley....I'm starting to feel like a homicidal fic maniac. :p

Don't Say Anything Tonight If You're Gonna Say Goodbye

4 days later, hospital

Katie: Where is your father?

Lori: At work.

Katie: What's he doing at work?

Lori: ...Working?

Katie: Holly's getting worse.

Lori: I know that. I was in the room when the doctor told us, and put her out.

Katie: Did you call him?

Lori: That's your job.

Katie: Call him.

Lori: Why can't you do it?

Katie: I asked you to do it.

Lori: You didn't ask, you demanded.

Katie: CALL HIM!

Lori: AH! Geez stop yelling in my ear. Why do you need him anyway? You're not even together.

Katie: Just do it.

Lori: *gets out phone, dials*

Lab

Delko: So did Kristin get a lawyer?

Speed: Yeah.

Delko: I never thought she could kill someone.

Speed: We don't know if she did. I still have to test the swabs of her fingernails and Valera has to get the results from DNA.

Cellphone rings

Speed: *opens phone* Yeah it's Speed.

Lori: Mom's screaming at me, so could you come down to the hospital?

Speed: Is everything okay?

Lori: I don't know. She's pacing and yelling and pulling her hair out, and grinding her teeth and climbing all over the doctors for answers a-

Speed: I meant Holly.

Lori: She's getting worse.

Calleigh: *walks in* Hey Horatio wants you in interrogation.

Speed: Uh...Yeah. Okay, Lori listen, I can't break away right now so tell your mom to just...Sit down before she passes out.

Lori: What? You're supposed to get down here.

Speed: I'm sorry. I have to be at work.

Lori: I'm sure Horatio will understand.

Speed: *closes phone* Are they at PD?

Calleigh: Yeah.

Speed: *leaves*

Calleigh: What was that all about?

Delko: Doesn't sound like things are going too well at the hospital. I on the other hand am trying to complete a puzzle.

Calleigh: Puzzle?

Delko: I bought this really cool jigsaw puzzle yesterday.

Calleigh: ...Eric that puzzle has fifty pieces.

Delko: It's really challenging, you should try it.

Interrogation

Speed: *walks in* Who's this?

Horatio: Manager at the lingerie store. We caught him trying to sell some cocaine.

Speed: What does that have to do with the case?

Horatio: The number one buyer on his list is Kristin.

Speed: Okay.

Horatio: *walks over to table* Rafael, we found 100 kilos of cocaine in the storage room at the store.

Rafael: It's not mine.

Speed: You manage the store.

Rafael: Yeah but I'm not in charge of who goes in and out of the storage room.

Speed: So you never go in there or what? Because we found cocaine in there not illegal clothes.

Rafael: There are illegal clothes?

Horatio: Do you know this woman? *puts picture on table*

Rafael: Yeah that's Kristin. We're going out.

Speed: Did you sell her cocaine?

Rafael: No.

Speed: That's not what the list says.

Rafael: It's not a buyers list, it's a list of girlfriends.

Speed: There are men on the paper.

Rafael: So I'm diverse. Look, I didn't sell anyone cocaine and I don't know where it came from.

Horatio: Speed, go to the shop and print the place.

Speed: *looks at Horatio*

Horatio: ...Speed.

Speed: You mind if I take a sidetrip?

Horatio: We need this fast. You don't have time for a sidetrip.

Speed: Will I lose my job if I don't go?

Horatio: No, b-

Speed: Then I need an hour. *leaves*

Horatio: *lifts brow*

Hospital

Speed: *walks over* Where's your mother?

Lori: ...

Speed: Lori.

Lori: ...She's in the room.

Speed: *walks into room*

Katie: *crying*

Speed: *sits down* I'm sorry I couldn't get here fast enough.

Katie: It's okay.

Speed: She's gone?

Katie: *nods*

Speed: *angry sigh*

Katie: They want to do an autopsy.

Speed: What? Why?

Katie: The doctors say that the cancer spread too quickly, and at her age, it would have been impossible for that to happen. They were also looking at her bloodwork and found traces of a substance that shouldn't have been there. They don't know what it is.

Speed: Whatever was in her blood killed her faster.

Katie: The doctors say that if it hadn't been there, she would have had at least six more months.

Speed: They don't know what it is?

Katie: It's going to take a while, they don't exactly have a billion dollar lab.

Speed: *frowns* We do.

Katie: Tim...

Speed: Call Alexx. *leaves*

Katie: *sigh*

TBC..........

*sniffle* Hoooooollllyyyyy! Awwwwwwwww Geni! I miss her already! Poor girl, she died waaaaaayyy too young. And the parents! Poor Katie and Speed, especially Speed, I mean he's lost so many kids he can't count them on his fingers anymore......:( that was a very sad chapter, I just hope justice can be served!

....Awwwwwwwww! Sorry I tried to refrain from saying that in atleast one review and its just not possible! Hmm..what is this mysterious substance that you speak of? But awww Alexx is going to handle it. I wouldn't trust anyone else. And Tim wasn't there...why do I feel like there will be a problem with that later on.

And oh heck yes Timmy you tell Horatio. I can't believe that Horatio couldn't get someone else to do it I mean Eric was just sitting there putting a puzzle together. Tim's child was really sick and close to death and now she is dead and...thats just unlike Horatio...I kinda like it...Anyways update soon please!

Geni, what did you do??? I mean... Awwwwwww. Poor Holly. She didn't deserve that. And poor Speed, and Katie, and Lori, and... oh, I guess that's it. Update soon :D

Fall On Your Knees

2 am, two days later

Horatio: *walks in* Hey, Speed go home.

Speed: I can't.

Horatio: The machine won't go any faster with you hovering over it.

Speed: *looks through microscope*

Horatio: *places hands on hips* You haven't gone home in two days.

Speed: Don't need to.

Horatio: Holly's gone, you can't change that.

Speed: There was something in her blood and I'm going to find out what it was.

Horatio: Does it matter?

Speed: Yes, it matters.

Horatio: This won't bring you any closer to closure.

Speed: *looking through microscope*

Horatio: Is this because I made you stay longer?

Speed: *frowning*

Horatio: I'm sorry you didn't get to say goodbye to her, but you're digging yourself a hole with th-

Speed: *throws microscope into glass doors*

Horatio: ...*takes off shades*

Speed: *sits in chair* ....I couldn't save Teague. And I couldn't save her.

Horatio: This was not your fault.

Speed: What the hell kind of father can't even protect his own children?

Horatio: *stares at Speed*

Computer beeps

Horatio: You got something?

Speed: *clicks mouse* ...Dihydrogen Monoxide and Bacillus anthracis.

Horatio: Anthrax.

Speed: We need to see Alexx.

TBC.........

Anthrax 0_0! Holy beejbus how did she got that into her system? Oh my goshness poor kiddo. But awww how cute is Timmy with his whole throwing microscope and stuff. Teehee. Update soon please!

Thanks calleighspeedle. :)

And thanks to everyone for the reviews. :D

The next chapters are mine and Wyoming's idea. Aren't collaborations awesome? :D

There And Back

Morgue

Horatio: Alexx, let's take another look at her.

Alexx: Sure. *pulls down sheet*

Speed: *pulls on latex gloves*

Horatio: Alexx, what are those on her skin?

Alexx: Black lesions. Usually characterized with exposure to-

Speed: Anthrax.

Alexx: *lifts brow*

Speed: The tests came back. I also found dihydrogen monoxide in her blood.

Alexx: That's found in acid rain.

Horatio: And in her blood.

Alexx: Anthrax and DHMO. Sounds like a new bio chemicle.

Horatio: Well it's very dangerous, that's for sure isn't it?

Alexx: Well for there to be traces of the substance, she would have had it inside the cancerous lesions or tumors, most of which were inside her body.

Horatio: Interesting.

Alexx: She was open to infection, and her immune system was compromised. The anthrax and DHMO attacked the cancerous cells, multiplying them which in fact killed her faster.

Horatio: How did the stuff get into her system?

Alexx: No puncture marks, or burns on the inside of her throat. I'm thinking it was applied topically in low doses.

Horatio: On the skin.

Alexx: Mhm.

Speed: *frowns*

Horatio: So she touched something over the course of a few weeks, giving the chemicles enough time to react with the cancer that no one knew she had.

Alexx: Yeah. Poor thing, didn't even see it comin'.

Speed: *covers mouth*

Horatio: *looks at Speed* ...Speed, you okay?

Speed: *clears throat* Uh, yeah.

Alexx: Anything you can think of where she touched something to apply to her skin?

Speed: *shakes head*

Alexx: Does she go to daycare?

Speed: Lori looks after her, as far as I know.

Horatio: As far as you know?

Speed: I hadn't even seen them in two weeks.

Horatio: Okay we'll ask Katie. Right now, let's get a swab of her hands and anywhere else her skin would come in contact with a topical substance.

Speed: *staring blankly*

Horatio: ...Speed?

Speed: *pukes*

Horatio: *steps back*

Alexx: *looks at Horatio*

Horatio: *lifts brows*

Alexx: You okay honey?

Speed: ...Yeah.

Horatio: Why don't you go home.

Speed: No. I'm working.

Horatio: You're sick.

Speed: I'm not sick.

Horatio: Okay. Go grab a kit and...A mop.
