All My Trust
Carly/Josh's house, 9 pm
Holly: *climbs in bed* But I'm not tired.
Josh: You need sleep.
Holly: I don't need sleep.
Josh: Yes you do sweetheart. *covers Holly*
Holly: Are you going to sleep?
Josh: I have some work to do.
Holly: What kind of work?
Josh: Nothing you need to worry about.
Holly: *hugs teddy* I miss momma.
Josh: I know you do.
Holly: Sometimes she reads me a story.
Josh: Really.
Holly: Mhm.
Josh: What does she read?
Holly: Whinnie the Pooh books.
Josh: Well I don't have any here.
Holly: I know.
Josh: You're going to have to do without Pooh bear for a few nights.
Holly: *nods*
Josh: *stands* Alright, well get some rest.
Holly: WAIT! *extends arms* I wanna hug.
Josh: *smirks* Sure kiddo. *sits down*
Holly: *hugs Josh*
Josh: *hugs Holly*
Holly: *sigh*
Josh: You good?
Holly: Yup.
Josh: Alright, get some sleep.
Holly: Okay.
Josh: *leaves*
Holly: *looks around*
Hummerhome
Lori: *opens door*
Anni: *clicks on flashlight* And where do you think you're going?
Lori: *rolls eyes*
Anni: You should be asleep.
Lori: I needed to get some air.
Anni: No one leaves the Hummerhome alone.
Lori: I'm not alone. You're here.
Anni: I'm not going with you to do drugs.
Lori: *narrows eyes* What makes you think I'm going to do drugs?
Anni: You're a teenager.
Lori: Well unlike most teenagers, I'm not stupid. What are you doing up anyway?
Anni: I heard the door open.
Lori: Wow your ears must be like satellite dishes.
Anni: *frowns*
Lori: You're not going to bust me are you?
Anni: Depends.
Lori: Oh come on you're the cool one. I thought you of all people would understand.
Anni: What, a teen's need to rebel against social norms?
Lori: Well I was going for a smoke but sure.
Anni: Do Speed and Katie know you smoke?
Lori: Psh, they don't care.
Anni: But do they know?
Lori: *leaves*
Anni: *follows*
Outside
Anni: Do they know?
Lori: No. And besides, I only do this when I'm stressed.
Anni: Why are you stressed?
Lori: Well...I don't really think I should tell you.
Anni: You can tell me anything. I promise I won't bust you.
Lori: ...I kind of miss being on my own. You know, I'm used to be independant and now that I have pretty much everything, it's a little suffocating.
Anni: I hear ya.
Lori: Yeah.
Anni: So you want to hand me that cigarette or not?
Lori: ...Why?
Anni: So I can throw it out.
Lori: *angry sigh*
Anni: You shouldn't be poisoning yourself even if you're stressed.
Lori: I know.
Anni: Hand it over.
Lori: *hands over cigarette*
Anni: And the package.
Lori: *reaches into pocket*
Anni: Thank you.
Lori: *sits on log* I don't know what I'm doing here.
Anni: What do you mean?
Lori: A month ago, I was in a different continent trafficing myself to make enough money to buy food. 90 percent of the profits went to my boss so you can imagine how much I had left over. Now, I've been thrown into a family I knew nothing about, and suddenly I have everything I could have ever wanted. Parents, a little sister, a boyfriend, an education...
Anni: So what's wrong with that?
Lori: Nothing. It's the first time in my life where I haven't had to worry about anything.
Anni: Lor, you're thinking too hard about everything. It's good to put perspective into things, but we can go too far. Just enjoy life.
Lori: I can't. I know how the other half lives and I know how hard it is. *stands* I just need to get away for a while. *walks away*
Anni: Lori! *sigh* ...Great.
Hummerhome, midnight
Anni: *pacing around livingroom*
Speed: *walks out* You're up early.
Anni: I couldn't sleep.
Speed: Well you mind if I get past to grab a drink of water?
Anni: Go ahead.
Speed: Thanks.
Anni: Um...Speed?
Speed: Yeah. *grabs cup*
Anni: ...Hypothetically,
Speed: *turns around*
Anni: How would you feel if Lori ran away?
Speed: Are you actually being hypothetical?
Anni: No.
Speed: *angry sigh*
Anni: I'm so sorry. I let her go, I should have done something.
Speed: How long has she been gone?
Anni: Three hours.
Speed: *frowns*
Anni: I'm so sorry.
Speed: It's alright. Which direction did she go?
Anni: You're not going to yell at me?
Speed: I'll yell later. Where did she go?
Anni: Into the forest.
Speed: *dials phone*
Anni: Who are you calling?
Speed: Teenagers don't go anywhere without their cell phone.
Anni: *nods*
Forest
Lori: *looks down at phone* ...Great. *opens phone* Yeah.
Speed: Lori, where are you going?
Lori: Away.
Speed: Why?
Lori: I just need to get away.
Speed: I'm going to need a reason before I let you walk around in The Everglades.
Lori: I just need to find someplace quiet. To think.
Speed: About what?
Lori: It doesn't matter.
Speed: It matters to me.
Lori: Why?
Speed: I'm your father.
Lori: *leans against a tree* ...Can you save me?
Speed: What do you mean?
Lori: *closes phone*
