cathwillows Thank you very much! I'm kind of the same way... Although sometimes i don't mind close up icons, while most of the time I do prefer to have most of his body in the icon.

I really like the latest icons you've posted, My favourite would be the second one because I love that brush you used... and I love the brightness and contrast of the first one. I also love how each icon shows the same photo but the photo sizes are different as well as the framing... good work. What program do you use?

And I love that coloring! Me thinks you should show me how the hell you do that so well! I can't fathom this photoshop stuff, too high-tech for me! :lol:

 

I will be making a tutorial soon, probably tonight on how to get icons to be like:



with this tutorial, you can always play around with things if you dont want the colours to have a higher contrast, you can darken things... you dont have to stick straight to the tutorial.

It also allows you to add a glowing effect like this one

so hopefully it will help you guys with your icons... well not help i guess more like assist.... what i'm trying to say isn't coming out the way I want to, but hopefully you'll understand!

I will be posting it on my LJ ... so as soon as I do post it, i will let everyone know on here
