CSI:Magazine Awards

If we're going to have a Nick/Warrick friendship scene, then we pretty much need a friendship scene for every pair of characters, within reason.

BTW, KC- I absolutely adore your icon!

Season 1 's Diner scene wouldn't be the whole team either cause Greg wasn't there. I keep forgetting that Sara wasn't in "For Gedda".

I changed my mind on the group scene though. I forgot about the scene in "A la cart" where they're all riding go carts while Sara is watching them with a smile. That's really gotta be my fave.

That's true. best Cath/Gris friendship scene. My vote would be the hug in the ep where he was about to have the ear surgery. Nicky/Greg friendship scene: Technically they weren't in the scene together, but I did like the scene in the locker room in Fannysmacking where Nick says he'd like to stop by the hospital to see Greg. Unfortunately got cheated and didn't get to see that scene.

Best Warrick/Greg friendship scene: When Warrick helped Greg by telling him what he should wear to a crime scene and carry with him at all times.

Best betting scene (not casino): Nick and Warrick bet about how long Chandra will stay in the DNA lab.

Best kicking butt moment: Nick punches Kfed's character in Fannysmacking.

lol, I'd love to take part in the voting but I guess in the end we'll have to limit the categories, it's a tad too many now

I agree that we better not choose the 'best romantic moment', probably it'll cause trouble, also there are tons of ships (even if not canon) and IMO people from all of them would like to vote so too much confusion, I think
people are discussing best romantic moments for their ships all the time in suitable threads in SC and so don't get in others' way

I think the 'best group scene' would be a nice category, but it's hard to find a one with all main cast. Maybe we will set for a definition: the 'best group scene' = the scene with the majority of main cast in it ??

Its obvious that the voting was mostly GSR fans...:(

the only ones I agreed with were Grave Danger (which IMO should have been the best over-all episode not Dead Doll which was nothing more than a rip off of GD) I also agree with Play with fire, and Greg's memory of events in Rasomama, Warrick's death, and Fur and Loathing too. And WTG being the best of season 6??? I hated that episode, not just the ending but the whole episode sucked. Gum Drops should have won, and probably would have if GSR fans hadn't monopolized the voting (My opinion).

And yeah if there was a best group scene my vote would also be for A La Cart and the go cart racing. Or the scene at the end of 'The theory of Everything' in Grissom's office was a good one too.

Never dare me hun ask the "ward" it never turns out well. :p

Anyway, I do hope for character moments, scenes, eps, liners, etc. I will get it all together not to worry. As to ship moments I do not want to go too much into them because then you have some saying well mine [...] wasn't mentioned not fair, etc. If there is any question about it it will be condensed and few.

ETA: Okay I have alot of the catagories and will be working on more, but lets not go overboard, I get you want your fav characters to be noticed for their work, but I am trying to be fair with the catagories, not to mention not making them the "Typical" type in some ways. So there will be some off beat catagories. ;)

This sounds like a lot of fun, Destiny! Thanks for putting it all together. I can't wait to see it and vote!

Yeah, she's not kidding when she say never dare her! The last time she hosed the Ward it involved skunk juice

and corn flakes. It was very messy, not to mention extremely stinky!

I think ships should be left out as really the only that is on the show is GSR. All the other ships and slash are perceived or hoped for. Since this a procedural show and not a 'drama' (well, in Emmy's eyes it isn't), all ships and slashes should be left out, as they are not what the show is about.

Besides all it will do is causing fighting as no ship and/or slash talk can be discussed without said fighting.

Destiny, it's great that you're doing this, it's going to be a big task.

Thank's Destiny this will be a hugh chore, but your good at this, and on the 'best episodes" maybe our 3 favorites from each year, and funniest moments, best 'guest' star, fav. song, best lines from them all.. and as far as 'ships' go, you can't erase 9 years and pretend that this hasn't happened, in all the episodes, when it has, some are revealing and riveting, and interesting, some not, but I'm sure you'll choose what you think is best..thanks, this will be interesting~;)

I second the motion (I know my icon says I would feel otherwise) but leave out everything to do with slash..

A great question would be, "Best Talent Scene" we've seen Nick sing, Greg dance, Warrick play the piano, Sara sing, Grissom...hmm...I'm sure someone can refresh my memory of a Grissom talent..oh he quotes from books-that might be a talent, and Brass is a stand up comedian in the making, Riley 's had a few comedic moment (that scene with Catherine and the pot was so funny).so we can have a best talent moment..

Catherine..okay dancing too along with Nick

Here's a couple of tid-bits from the new TV Guide magazine [Jan.12-18] from George and Anthony Zuiker on Billy leaving~I guess it's alright to post this here, and it's amonst funny moments~that we never knew about!

George Eads "I used to make fun of how Billy walks. He has this pigeon-toed thing going on, and if we were doing an intense scene, I might break it up by walking down the hall pigeon-toed and talking in his Chicago accent. A couple of times I thought Billy might hit me, but mostly I think he liked it'

Anthony Zuiker creator of CSI "Atr the end of S/1 after trial by fire and flying back and forth to Vegas for 24 brutal episodes, we had a party at Billy's house. The whole cast and writers were there, and Billy called me outside and shut the door. That first season, he didn't really know what he had signed up for. He was overwhelmed by the work. I didn't know what he was going to say, but he poured me a Scotch and said "Congratulations, you're really doing something great" "That's one of my fondest memories!

All of you fans should buy this issue of TV Guide, not all cast members talk but some do!

That was funny! Sounds like Billy has a good sense of humour as I would probably be mad because I walk pigeon-toed.

But it's a sign of genius really!!! So I guess that means Billy Petersen and I are absolut geniuses! So take that George!

Although I'm sure Billy P had some good comebacks for GE!

Sorry, I just noticed this:

Most memorable crime scene Ther have been hundreds crime scenes over the course of CSI's 9 years, but Sara Sidle trapped under a Mustang in the Nevada desert, with rain pouring in around her, is the one who got your vote. And who are we to argue--I'ts a sensational sequence! winner Dead Doll second Minature Killer [various epsiodes] Shower death Butterflied!

This makes me laugh!! Dead Doll? Dude, it's a Hot Wheels in a sandbox!

Who knew I had an award-winning crime scene in my back yard? :guffaw:

Here's some alternatives: The garage scene from Toe Tags. Or, the scene from the episode where the boys are doing their own version of "Jackass" and they shoot up a warehouse. The house from Gum Drops. The alley in Fannysmackin', the dressing room in Rashomama, the bus from the one where the bus crashed.

See, this is why we need to vote I couldn't stand Toe Tags absurd, and George was outstanding in Gum Drops but also not a fav. and Rashomama silly, so every fan has ones they love and ones that don't care for:( I thought that 'Grave Danger" was far the total best episode ever. Tarantino brought out the best in the whole cast and squeezed every bit of great potential acting they all had, and they all rose to the occasion. And "Viva Las Vegas" with 4 different stories, great and one hardly ever mentioned "SUCKERS' fabulous~every one has their own views and opinions on all the episodes! I think also that "Grave Danger' had the highest ratings ever for one CSI episode 33 million or in that ballpark!

See 'Gum Drops' is a perfect example. That episode got rave reviews from the critics. Now I don't think most GSR fans liked it because it didn't end up being the GSR love fest it was suppose to be and that Grissom wasn't in it.

It's funny how an episode that has gotten some of the highest ratings didn't have Grissom in it and won that the critics liked.

I, personally, think that episode was way more poignant with Nick being in the lead because of what his character went through. Now I'm not saying that because I'm a Nick fan. I just don't think the epi would have had the same impact if Grissom was in the lead.

And since Grissom was just going to go to Sara's room and we were suppose to hear heavy breathing coming out of said room, it would have ruined the premise of the episode and proves it was just written to bring out GSR.

I think the writer's and tptb were wrong to put Grissom as the lead in this episode and not Nick. If it was Sara, Warrick, or Grissom who was buried alive, then I think the episode would have still had the same impact if that character was in the lead.

And sorry 'Way To Go' was the best epi. Nope, it was only picked because of the ending and that's it.

The way that part about Sara being trapped under the car was worded, it kind of makes me think that maybe it was voted on by non-Sara fans.
