Good news for Criminal Minds fans. Amazon.com has announced a paperback book called "Criminal Mind: Jump Cut" Max Allan Collins, due out November 6, 2007. Fans of CSI might remember his CSI books and graphic novels. He also wrote a Bones book. Now he tackles the Behavioral Analysis Unit, an elite team of FBI profilers, in the first of a series of books. Check local bookstores on or after that date for your copy.
Guh! I'll definitely have to read that! *excited*

Sooo, does anyone have any new spoilers??
Yes, ma'am ;)

The team figures out that a serial killer who is kidnapping couples, killing the husbands and holding the wives captive until they misbehave then killing them, is the son of a serial killer (and his wife) from 25 years ago who killed in the same exact way. One of the original killer's victims escaped and had a son from her captor. He and his mother, who was rescued by the original killer's wife, who then killed her husband so he couldn't hurt anyone else, have had a hard life.
Good luck understanding that. :p

JM was also in a mini series over the dummer called the Starter Wife with Deborah Messing. It was quite good IMO.

Depending on how they present his character I think he can complement this show well. I look forward to seeing how it works out.

I knew what was going on with this last epi too, no suspense at all. Oh well there's always next week.

Ok, I'm jealous because you get to watch new episodes of Criminal Minds and I don't :p Haha, dont get me wrong, just kidding! Either way, and to be truly honest, I too am watching new episodes (to me),as I hadn't seen season1 before the rerun airing now. So its nice ;)

Last episodes I saw were "Aftermath" and "The Boogeyman".

I have to say I am disappointed with Elle's attitude. I liked her before and it just felt she wasn't the same. I know she went trough the dramatic experience (that I haven't seen though, unfortunately, so I might be lacking that information to get a better opinion). Anyway, I felt her too cold and distant and like she didn't trust any of them (which she sort of implied). I dont know, she felt abandoned by them because they didnt protect her, but still that didnt seem the Elle I liked. It just felt wrong to me. I really dont like the way she acted. The only little bit where we saw 'real' Elle a bit more was in the end, in her last line.
I did understand her wanting to kill that guy.(I guess they all feel like that with one or another particular unsubs sometimes) Even though that, she is(was?) a professional that deals with that type of people everyday, so she should be able to control herself. I guess the fact that she couldn't really showed she wasn't capable of continuing with it anymore. At least at that point.

Does Lolla ever guest star in any other episode after that? I'm assuming she left anyway, I know she isn't there anymore in season 2 so...

Besides Elle storyline, I really liked Morgan/Reid/JJ interaction in TB, all the 'being afraid of when you were a child' thing. JJ was really funny telling that story, and even more after revealing the 'truth' :p Did Morgan actually ever gave her that revenge?!

Also, Reid's response here
Morgan: Yeah Reid, why are you still afraid of the dark?
Reid: Because of the inherent absence of light!

^^Geek  It's cute though, it fits Reid character to be afraid of the dark to me.

As for 'Aftermath' this Hotch quote stood out to me, really well said.
Hotchner: (after Lisa Blake's rape) How bad were her injuries?
CSU Tech: She’s lucky, they’re relatively minor.
Hotchner: Do me a favor? Don’t tell her that she’s lucky.

There is going to be an episode on Halloween, YAY, unfortunately I might miss it and the new guy is coming and he looks like a jerk.

Yeah, I had to read it twice, but I got it. ;) Is it just me or do they seem to be going that route a lot lately? I mean, there was Open Season, and then Children of the Dark was kind of the same way...running out of ideas??

Dani, I only caught Aftermath during reruns last summer (I thought it was a great episode, in fact, probably the one that got me hooked) so I didn't get the see the whole storyline play itself out, but I'm pretty sure that The Boogeyman is the last time we see Elle. If I'm wrong about that someone can correct me.

And thanks for the pics, sandersidle, but ugh, Strauss again. Hate her.

Seriously, because I still don't understand it. lmao.

Okay, it goes like this:

The unsub's parents were killers, we'll call them Momma Killer and Papa Killer. Papa Killer got one of their vics pregnant, and she had a baby boy. When Momma Killer found out about this, she turned on Papa Killer, rescued the vic and killed Papa Killer. At least that's how I understood it.

I'm pretty excited about tomorrow night's episode too. With it being Halloween, it should be a very interesting episode. Plus Jow makes his debut.

Someone want to tell me the highlights about tonights episode? Or just tell me if there was any JJ/Reid? I was out for Halloween and missed it. :/

This episode was perfect. And I'm not exaggerating.

All the characters were spot on. I loved the introduction of JM, and there was only one Strauss scene, and she wasn't being all that evil. :)

The case was intriguing. Towards the end I thought it may have sped up a bit too fast. Like, we went straight from one phone call with the unsub to a shootout in the lobby (which, btw, I screamed during, when it was in slow mo and it looked like Morgan might get shot ). But overall it was really good.

I also loved that scene at the end with Hotch and Rossi. "We don't think as a team, we think individually and share our ideas as a team, we don't write them down in a little notebook and keep them to ourselves." TG and JM are both awesome actors.

And sorry, sandersidle, there was no JJ/Reid to speak of. (Is this a popular ship? Seeing as I'm just getting into the show I don't know all the ships yet, but I think I like the idea of JJ/Morgan...)
