*laughs* I totally am a CM addict. Especially because I have all three books and have read them more than once. Finishing School was pretty good. As the author writes more CM books, they get more and more like the show. It's cool. :D

Bright side is that as far as I know we've got a new episode tonight. Since my top three favorite shows goes 1)CSI:NY 2)Criminal Minds 3)Leverage, Wednesday is a good night. (Well, Leverage is on Tuesday, but top 2 in one night ain't bad.)

I kind of like this episode so far... I was expecting a red herring, and it seems anything but.
God, I love CM humor. "He was left in a basket on the doorstep of the FBI.

I have't had the chance to even see a Criminal Minds' book.I would love to read one:)

What did you think of the latest episode?

I liked it.I was sorry for the daughter but I liked that she had a moment with Emily.

I liked the episode. I thought it was interesting that Emily let the daughter direct the interview and kind of steer it off course.
It's funny, because at first I thought the dad was a red herring, and then slowly I came to notice that he was quickly down spiraling into creepy serial killer.

You really should try to find one of the books, athens. They were all pretty good, and they're written well enough that you know the author has to watch the show, because it's very similar and well-copied in tone. And they're pretty close to being in the same "universe" as the show. Like, in Finishing School during one of the times it's third-person slanted towards Prentiss's perspective (hopefully that makes sense) it mentions that the team already knows about JJ's relationship with Will, which made me laugh.

Yes... I've caught up with the show and got little addiction :D
[don't mind my avatar]

from latest episode "He was left in a basket on the doorstep of the FBI." and the look on Rossi's face... ahhh, priceless and I laughed so hard!

Okay, I didn't go several pages back on this topic but has anyone watched bloopers from S2 and 3?

So, I just started getting into this show, but so far, it's amazing. I'm kinda watching week to week while trying to catch up, though. I love it, although I think Season 1 should be nicknamed "The season Reid gets beat up every two weeks..."

-Oh, Jordan. Don't talk back to Prentiss. You really don't want me to like you, do you?
-Emily with a kid. Love it.
-Oh, we're going back to Prentiss's knowledge of things most people don't know? Cool.
-I just realized that so far all of my comments have had to do with Emily.
-"I charge extra for groups."; "Thank you for turning my life into a Cher song." Garcia.

-I can't tell if it's GoodCop/BadCop or if Prentiss and Hotch are actually arguing while interviewing...
EDIT: Okay, Reid says GoodCop/BadCop. They are awesome actors, because obviously I fell for it... *laughs*

-Thank God. I didn't think I could deal with "did I get them killed" for any longer... (I can't tell if I flat out don't like Jordan, or if I just miss JJ.)
-9:55? Short episode tonight...

Reid and Garcia are the best. Reid is just adorable when rambles on about this and that (gosh I wish I was that smart) and Garcia just cracks me up. "Oh Captain, My Captain". I know that's a pop culture reference, but I don't know where it's from.

I was watching a repeat on A&E yesterday and it was the ep where that male killer liked a woman everyone called Crazy Jane. Jane had a whistle and Reid said something like "a psychopath with a whistle... that's not weird at all." It was so funny the way he said it.

"O Captain! My Captain!" is an apostrophe poem written in 1865 by Walt Whitman dedicated to Abraham Lincoln.

Walt Whitman wrote the poem after Abraham Lincoln's assassination. He admired Abraham Lincoln and was saddened by his death. In the poem, Lincoln is represented by the captain and the United States of America is the ship. The ship has endured obstacles such as Civil War, and there is peace. The speaker is feeling bittersweet about the victory.

Dynamo1 at the reference desk.

I thought the episode was good. I enjoyed Prentiss's interview with the little girl. And that one line "Old? Old like me?" Prentiss understanding that little kids think anyone over 25 is old: FTW!

I surprisingly liked Rossi's paternal attitude towards Jordan. He understands that she's not ready for the compartmentalization this team has to have, and he understands that she's not sure she wants to be ready.

Where or where do these writers come up with these horrible scenerios, the gyspy culture, how unbeliveable and hideous, The poor little girl that had the sizeure, thank goodness it save her life. I was so shocked, about this whole life style, and talk about brain washed, and the interrogation both doing it differently, the woman seeing those gross photos and still in denial:( And the end with both kids OK, or are they? spooky show, worse gruesome scenes than CSI:(

*laughs* Well, Desert, CSI has come up with some pretty nasty ones, too. The creepiness is actually part of the reason I like it. I don't know why, but somehow I'm drawn to the fact that these people can seem so outwardly just good at their jobs, but inwardly they are damaged and affected by what they do, and sometimes even they can't see it. It's a remarkably human element that CSI sometimes misses, but this show gets right on target.

Oddly, we don't even know what the damage truly is on at least four characters- Prentiss, JJ, Hotch, and Rossi.

I have no idea where that rant came from. Whatever.

OT: Why the heck doesn't CBS have any of these online or on iTunes? Really, it's the best show ever and I'd be spending tons of money on it, just like I do with CSI:NY. I buy the episodes on iTunes, and then buy the DVDs because I still want them. CBS has made about... Holy crap, I just did the math and between the shows I like, I've spent about $890 just on episodes and DVDs alone. If CM was on iTunes, CBS would make, from me at least, about $48 extra dollars in addition to the $40 I spend on the CM DVDs. (I don't know why you care. In fact, why did I post any of this in the first place? I think I'm losing my mind....)

Yep like CBS says "about the show" CRIMINAL MINDS revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again.

Aww I loved this episode, talk about twisted minds, and to insinuate that there are more out there, then to prove it to the viewers what the investigators aren't sure of was really cool.. This whole storyline was a work of art in some ways the dark, the danger, and the percision and execution of this episode not as good as some but definitly better then others, other scenes like the good/bad cop thing kind of not subtle, wish they wouldn't have made it so forced.

Cool line:
Garcia: (over the phone) "Hiya, baby."
Morgan: "Hey, baby girl. We need to talk."
Garcia: "PG or NC-17?"
Morgan: "You're on speaker phone."
Garcia: "I charge extra for groups."

Ah, yes, the GoodCop/BadCop Extreme Edition.

One thing about that Garcia line is the COTW's reaction. Unlike most people that hear Garcia's craziness, he just laughed. Most give the phone weird looks.

(In case someone doesn't know: COTW=CopOfTheWeek. Curtosy of matociquala.livejournal.com)

Aw, they removed the date joined and number of posts thing from the sidebar. I liked that. :(
