Criminal Minds #2: How May We Save Your Ass Today?

I'm just getting around to posting on last Wed ep. OMG, frightning show, :eek:those low-life devil creeps killing people randomly for NO reason, so scary and then them watching those again on their computer. Unbeleivable. Right under everyones noses. Working by day as construction workers and the team finding the dead guy hidden in a wall:( very distrubing indeed. Goood team work as always and getting the one, and the other two wanting to die at the cops hands and did, losers and really sad~

Bah. I still can't think of anything to say. It's been like three days. How sad.

First of all, I will now keep my Morgan/Garica fangirling to myself. I see how everytime I bring it up ya'll all shoot it down. So I'll just stop. :angryrazz:

Anyway, those killers were scary because they didn't have any real motive for killing, just the thrill of it. I usually like those killers best because they present such a psychological challenge. It's very... Interesting.

So it was a body that was in the nursery wall? I couldn't actually tell, I just knew there was something there and Morgan offered to fix the wall himself. But, yeah, if I were them, I'd be outta there as soon as I could have someone else pack up all of my stuff.

Kevin annoys the crap out of me, but I'm ready for Will and BabyJJ, aka Henry to come back. It makes me sad when she doesn't at least mention them. Kevin can go jump in a ditch. It never made sense to me how they got together... "So, I went out on a date and got shot, and then my best friend took care of me, but now I'm going to go date this random guy who can hack my computer". And then she's allowed to get jealous when Morgan shows interest in another woman? Oh, wait, I'm fangirling again. Please ignore that. Anyway, I am interested to see what part Kevin will play, I guess. Hopefully he can be more interesting than he has been.

Alex, have you watched it yet? *sigh*

Does it make me a major creeper to look forward to the utter psychopathy of the next killer? Because I am excited to see how that mess goes.

You can be all the fangirl you want Bryn.:p The good thing about this is that we can read other's opinions. But I still think it's platonic.

I actually prefer when the Unsub kills for a reason.I like how the team start getting all the clues to catch them.

Has anyone seen the preview for this week?

I still haven't seen the episode. I was away all weekend, and I would watch it now that the school sent me home sick, but I have homework from the day I missed for a college visit, so I don't think I'll be watching it soon. Hopefully before Wednesday, or I'll have to tape that one and watch it on Thursday...

Bryn, you can fangirl all you want. Come on, have you seen any of my reviews? I fangirl Emily practically every thirty seconds, so I'd have no right to say that you can't fangirl something.

I like episodes where the UnSub has a motivation, too. And I'm really curious about the why, so I'm excited.

I've liked S5 so far. I think at the moment S3 is still my favorite, but there really haven't been enough episodes yet to make a decision for me.

About JJ... I don't mind her hair, and I haven't noticed the makeup, so I don't really know.

BTW: Bryn, did you delete your Twitter? Because I can't find you.

Yeah, so, Alex, I definitely meant to tell you that I changed my username. It is now BrynandMila, so we're easier to find. Sorry.

Fine. I will continue with my fangirling. Lol. (Alex, I fangirl about Emily with you. So THAT is perfectly acceptable territory.)

Season 5 is turning out to be really good so far. Although, at the moment, S3 is still my fave. But, hey. The rest of the season might be mindblowing.

I didn't mean that I didn't like when killers have a reason for killing, just that from a psychological standpoint, it's more interesting to look at those who don't have a clear motive. Of course, it's a totalyl different profiling process.

Way to not fill me in, Bryn. XD

So, I apparently have the swine flu. So I'm going to go get caught up on S5. At least now I have time. And then I'll post my comments that will be way too late. Oh well.

ETA: Finally watched Hopeless. Notes:

~I taped this, but the DVD has decided that if I fastforward through the commercials, it will mute the sound. You are lucky that I have nothing better to do and that I want to watch this episode, DVD.
~I think I recognize two out of three UnSubs. If they were on CSI I’ll be mocked to eternity.
~“Let me guess.” Every member of the team knows by now that if they see JJ, they have work to do. I wonder if she ever just comes out of her office to say “hi”?
~Reid’s back in the field! Still on crutches, though.
~Why isn’t Emily sitting? Better question, why isn’t Reid sitting?
~“How do you hide that much anger?” Answer: Very, very carefully. And occasionally poorly. And at times by taking your frustration out on a piece of concrete with a sledgehammer.
~I think the cashier was appropriately freaked out.
~I love Morgan’s confused look and Garcia’s little hand-wave/shrug.
~Two of the UnSubs look similar enough to be brothers… I wouldn’t really be surprised if there was a relation.
~Has anyone else noticed that Dave likes leaning on those little podium things? I swear every time one of those is in a scene he’s leaning against it.
~Hostile!Cop.
~Did Garcia go to Rossi before Hotch? Or did Rossi develop a “Gibbs Sense”?
~I don’t think we’ve had a cop this bitchy before. Even the one cop in Lo-Fi lightened up (although that was mostly after Emily shot the guy that shot his partner).
~I like how Emily tossed the paper on the guy’s desk.
~Emily and Dave are agreeing a lot this episode. No sarcasm!teamup, though. Way to ruin my fun, writers.
~Oh crap. I didn’t like that Without A Trace episode. I really don’t need it repeated.
~Aw. And Penelope’s right, Derek.
~Allow me to point out that Emily flagged that case file, thank you very much. Although Derek gets 90% of the points for figuring out that there was a body there.
~Oh Morgan. Let it go. (And I’m pretty sure he does.)
~Hee! Drinks. Who didn’t invite Reid or JJ? They weren't doing anything.
~Garcia with the eye roll. Take comfort in the fact that you’re right, Penelope. Other than that, it was a lost cause.

ETA#2: The UnSub that was arrested was played by Blake Shields, who was in CSI, Eleventh Hour, NCIS, and Bones.
One of the suicide-by-cop UnSubs was played by Travis Aaron Wade who was in NCIS.
The other suicide-by-cop UnSub was played by Clayne Crawford who was in CSI, Leverage, Women's Murder Club, CSI:Miami, and Jericho.
The two UnSubs that I recognized, 1 and 3, were both on CSI. But since I figured it out before someone told me, I cannot be mocked. Ha!

Gosh, it always take me like four hours to even begin to think of something to say. Why is that?

I am glad you finally watched it, Alex, but I'm sorry you have the Swine Flu. Feel better soon! As for keeping you in the loop, maybe you're actually following me now? Lol.

Don't we know that crime shows share actors? You can't actually be a major TV character until you've been on at least SVU and maybe CSI.

So... The new episode airs tomorrow, so maybe we'll actually have something to talk about.

^^ They really do all share the same people. I can't even count the number of actors I've seen on more than one of these shows.

Feel better, Alex!

Tomorrow's episode looks like it's going to be creepy. I can't wait. :D

Yep ,this week episode looks scary.Does anyone remember a movie about a evil doll? Chucky,if I am not mistaken. For some reason, the preview reminded me of it.I can't wait for tonight episode.

I am glad you watch it Alex and get well soon.:)

I does look scary but it's always so intense, and BTW "CM" came in at #10 last week in the ratings with 13,917 viewers. To see the complete list, it's on the Top Rated shows thread~

CM should just be given the rank of "Best Show To Ever Be On TV. Ever." :D

~I’m sensing a poor ending.
~JJ gets to go home!
~Oh look, it’s that bitch… Strauss… both.
~I’m confused. Looks like Morgan is too. *wonders about the end of last episode*
~Huh. *is a 16-19 year old blonde girl*
~JJ quote!
~I’ve been watching season two as I’m sick, so it took a second to figure out why Rossi was there. And then I was happy, because I like Rossi more than Gideon.
~*likes Prentiss’s hair* *doesn’t feel either way about JJ’s*
~Prentiss has no idea what the hell she just walked into. Hee. (BTW: *hides the blue eyes, too*)
~Projecting! I loves it.
~I’m so freaking confused by this whole Hotch/Morgan thing.
~Dude! The UnSub can’t be a woman (*only* a woman), because the victims had to get pregnant somehow. Stupid statement of the day goes to JJ!
~Tough love detox? If it wasn’t for the kidnapping aspect, I’d say that might be a good idea. Intervention: Felony Edition!
~The grandmother understands what’s going on. The grandfather has the visceral “she’s my granddaughter”, but the grandmother catches on to the “what if”.
~Reid’s slipping. Rossi’s found a clue! (Where’s my handy dandy notebook?)
~“Is everything okay?” That the second time JJ’s said that this episode.
~*snicker* Rossi got another gold star! *g* *fangirls Rossi* I think he and Emily could have a Mini-Series of Sarcasm and I'd devote my soul to it.
~That’s two out of three BAU-blondes that volunteer. The third one I don’t give a damn about, so it doesn’t matter that I don’t know whether she does.
~Hee! Sorry, but as soon as Hotch said that he wanted Emily and JJ to go in first, I started snickering. I really don’t know why that was funny.
~Okay, so the two of them mirroring each other entering the room with guns drawn was cool. (Unless I missed an actual mirror when JJ entered that room.)
~Emily jumps when she hears the flush. Em, haven’t we talked about lowering your gun before the building is clear?
~Loved the look on the UnSub’s face when he found, like, ten guns aimed at him.
~Good solution to the grandparents thing. Somewhat convenient, but I can live with that.
~ZOMG UNIT CHIEF MORGAN! I’m scared.
~Hee. Morgan will be Unit Chief. And then he’ll re-promote Hotch.
~*horrified look* NO NEW EPISODE? WHAT WILL I DO WITH MY LIFE?

Wonder what "the wicked witch of the BAU" said to Hotch. Rossi said he heard Hotch is taking some heat.

I like that the one victim's parents get to keep the little boy even though they only get visitation with the girl.

Strauss sucks.

I like though that Hotch is sticking it to her, keeping her from being able to fire/reassign him by promoting Morgan to keep the team together. Take that, you evil dragon lady!

No new ep next week. :(

That was an excellent episode, and I wonder if Morgan getting to be team leader could mean Shemar is going to be team leader of the new spinoff. Has anyone heard anything?

I heard they're looking for a female lead for the spin-off, and that none of these main characters are going over there.

It was a creepy episode, just like I thought it would be. I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of Morgan leading the team. Not that I think he isn't capable, because he truly is, but I don't know how I feel about it yet. Does that mean Hotch is going back into the bullpen and Morgan gets his office?

Also, why wouldn't Hotch ask Rossi to do it? Was there a clause when he came back that said he wouldn't lead the team? Again, not that Morgan isn't capable at all, because he is. Just a few thoughts.

Great episode. :D

I think Rossi is more of a second-in-command kind of guy. Or, at least, he is now. He might not have been like that in the beginning, but as he got more comfortable with the idea of a team, he became more comfortable with his role. And Morgan ordered him around in the house, and he listened without flinching.

The LJ that I refer to a lot, matociquala, had a discussion in the comments section about Em and Reid and the family roles that they've started to fall into. Reid's Dad In Reserve, and Emily's Mom In Training. And if you don't know what I mean, I reference Nameless, Faceless. They quietly take control and hide the fear from the others to protect them and keep them on track.

And what I find interesting about this is that it doesn't make a difference who's in charge. Whether they're following Hotch's orders or Morgan's orders or Rossi's orders, they're quietly in control when everything else is falling apart. (JJ as well, but she's more Profiler In Training than Family Member In Training.)
