Okay, I'm not updating today but here's a teaser for Friday's upcoming story.

1X04 DEEP FREEZE - The team investigates a set of unusual cases across the city. Sara and Greg look into the death of a woman who was crushed by her fridge, Nick and Ray delve into the case of a man who died after falling from a casino.

As I'm getting into the swing of the series now I thought I'd also like to share a few teasers:

- Next week's story (1x05) will be Nick-centric.
- Greg's story will be wrapped up soon.
- One upcoming story will be focused on Al Robbins and David Philips.
- Some familiar, old faces will be returning.

I'll keep quiet for now, I wouldn't want to give too much away. ;)
 
Another Friday, another new story! Whereas last week's was a more intense and action packed story, this one has gone back to conventionally solving crimes. Oh, and it also introduces a new, mysterious recurring character. :)

Brilliant stuff! Gotta admit I'm suspicious of the fridge's contents and the second plot instantly made me nostalgic for episode 1x02: Cool Change; having rewatched it, it seems incredible how the show has changed over the past 11 years. Can't wait 'til tomorrow Crumbs!
 
hypered001: Thanks for your reply again. My inspiration of the B-case did actually come from Cool Change and I've got to admit that I changed my mind about the B case several times before going for this one.

PART TWO

Part three will be up sometime tomorrow, probably later than usual because I'll be out for the day. I've got to admit I haven't finished the story yet but it should be all wrapped up by Monday, Tuesday at the latest if needs be. I've just been caught behind a bit recently so apologies if the end is a little late.

Ooh, mystery with Greggo! Like it! Would've been nice to have had some sort of warning about the first vic's 'accident' in the kitchen though.:eek: (Sorry I'm a bit put off by that sort of thing.) Still looking forward to tomorrow!:thumbsup:

Hmm, keeping us guessing with Greg aren't you?;) I think you made the right choice with the Nick/Vega interrogation scene; I could picture it like on the show where the scene swaps back and forth between the two rooms and you managed to keep the conversation flowing naturally too.:thumbsup: On another note, are you planning to continue to use Ray until the new season? I only ask because I'm sorta reading as if these cases took place before the last few episodes of season 11 (eg: 11x18 > COLV > 11x19-22 > 12x01-). My money is on Ray admitting he killed Haskell and is in jail at the start of the new season, but that's just my opinion. Roll on Friday!:cool:
 
Well we now know who's replacing Laurence Fishburne as lead in Las Vegas. It'll be interesting to see what sort of character Ted Danson will bring to the series. What are your thoughts on this Crumbs?

hypered001: The series takes place in 'real-time'. E.g. The events of Deep Freeze take place on 8-9 July. In the opening post I state that the series is canon as of Season 11 minus Haskell. I decided to completely disregard it because it really messes the whole team (particularly Brass) and just about everything about the series.

Essentially, I'm taking the series in a different direction, so everything up to Unleashed happened and then everything else afterwards is to my own accord. I have no plans of introducing Liz Harnois and Ted Danson's characters as of yet and I know pretty much what I'm doing with all the characters up to the end of the 'season'.

Okay, here's a teaser for Friday's upcoming story:

1X05 TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE - Friday, July 15

Summary: When a six year old girl is violently assaulted, Nick finds himself facing demons from his childhood. As the team investigate further, they realise that there may be a second victim caught in an ongoing struggle to survive.

I'll give you all a heads up and say this is probably going to be the darkest story so far and some of the content is quite disturbing. However, I plan on releasing it as a PG-13 / T still.

Wow, intense stuff Crumbs. Waiting for the next part will be pretty much unbearable, I just hope Nick doesn't get in trouble. Also nice references to 'Overload', 'Gum Drops' and 'A Thousand Days on Earth'. Tomorrow can't come fast enough.

I'm sorry Part two is late, I had to write about 7/8 of it today without rushing it too much, anyway here it is, hope you enjoy it!

PART TWO

Right, I'm sorry to say that there won't be an update tomorrow. Truth be told, I haven't started part three and as I'm out all day, there is no way I'm going to get it done. Therefore, I will get part three up by Monday and part four will be released on Tuesday. I've got a pretty quiet week ahead so hopefully I shouldn't have the same issues with the next story. :)
