A German man was charged Thursday with trying to extort $100,000 from former supermodel Cindy Crawford and her entrepreneur husband Randy Gerber over a photo of their daughter bound to a chair and gagged, authorities said. Edis Kayalar, 26, has not yet been arrested. he was recently deported back to Germany and believed to be in Stuttgart, authories said. The photo was purportedly taken by the couple's former nanny and shows the girl, then 7, bound to a chair, wearing shorts and a T-shirt. The daughter told her parents, who were unaware of the photo, that the nanny took the pictures as part of "cops and robbers" game, according to an affidavit filed in this case. The nanny whose name wasn't released, has not been charged. Kayalar allegedly took the photo from the nanny and repeatedly sought to get money from Crawford and Gerber, according to court cocuments~ [so low-life]:(

*Celine Dion the Canadian pop singer isn't pregnant after all. Dion's U.S. based publicist, Kim Jakwerth, said Wednesday the couple's doctor had initally confirmed a pregnancy in August through vitro fertilization. When that information leaked to the public, Dion confirmed it. But a day later, she found out the embryo had not been implanted successfully. Jakwerth said Dion did not immediately announce that she wasn't pregnant because she was hopeful another implantation would work, and had wanted to keep the matter private~

*A judge has granted Nicole Ritchie's request for a restraining order barring two celebrity photographers from coming close to her or her children. Los geles Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson approved Ritchie's petition for a three year restraining order against the paparazzi after a hearing Monday. Ritchie, 28, appeared in court, accompanied by rocker Joel Madden. The couple have two children together. Goodson granted the orders against Edurado Arrivabene and Ivon Emilo Arri Miguel, who agreed to stay 50 yards away from the television personailty. Miguel apologized to Ritchie on the stand, and said in court he would not take pictures of her if she didn't want him to. Both Ritchie and Madden said they didn't want either man to take pictures of them anymore~ Ritchie blames these men for causing a car crash in Beverly Hills last month, and says she's frightened for her and her infant children.s safety~

*The Library of Congress is awarding Paul McCartney it's 3rd Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Librarian of Congress James Billington announced the prize Monday. An all star tribute concert is planned for next spring, though the library hasn't announced who will perform. Chaz Bono says beginning the sex-change process to trun him from a woman to a man is "the best decision I've ever made" The 40-year old writer, activist and reality TV star [he's a star?], who was born a girl to Sonny Bono and Cher, says he's eight months into the years long transformation and says he feels great. Michael Jackson won 4 American Music Awards on Sunday night, but he couldn't beat Taylor Swift as the year's favorite artist. The 19-year old took the evening's top award, giving Jackson his only loss of the night, and five trophies in all. Jackson was named as favorite male artist in the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. His 2003 greatest-hits album, "Number Ones", also won favorite album in both categories. Other top winners were the Black-Eyed Peas and Beyonce, Jay-Z, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts and Green Day

DONNY OSMOND was declared the new champion of "Dancing With The Stars" on Tuesday night, taking home the show's mirror ball trophy, in the season finale of the ABC contest reality program. Osmond, the former teen pop star of the singing Osmond family, said "the show has been a highlight in a career of ups and downs" Helping push Osmond over the top was his performance Tuesday:an Argentine tango, performed with his professional dancing partner Kym Johnson. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba hailed it as "artistry in motion". It earned the top score of the final performance Tuesday. 3 celebrities made it to the finale of the show's 9th season besides Osmond, the singer Mya and Kelly Osbourne came in 2nd and 3rd~

Little Richard is asking for fans to pray for his speedy recovery after undergoing hp surgery at a Tennessee hospital. The Rev. Bill Minson, a family friend, says the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had been in some pain leading up to the surgery, but continued to maintain a rigorous performing schedule. Minson says Richard, 76, asked him to tell fans "to get ready to 'rock 'n' roll' with him in the new year, because he's coming back strong" The Macon, GA. native now lives in Tennessee. he is recovering at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, in Nashville~

KYM JOHNSON will make her Broadway debut Friday in "Burn the Floor", the hot-blooded ballroom dance show at the Longacre Theather, producer Harley Metcalf announced Wednesday. Television personality Regis Philbin had a successful hip replacement
surgery and plans to return to Live! With Regis and Kelly early next
month.

"Word from the hospital is that everything went perfectly this morning
during Regis' hip replacement surgery, and his doctor said that Regis
couldn't be in better shape," a show rep told The Associated Press.

Though the typical recovery time is four to six weeks, Philbin, 78, plans
to return soon after the start of the new year.

Philbin also had triple-bypass heart surgery in 2007.

The arrest comes on the heels of wood's highly publicized divorce last month. His marriage collapsed after he starting seeing a young Russian woman. Wood's private life has been in turmoil for more than a year since he started a high profile relationship with Ekaterina Ivanova, a 20-year old cocktail waitress. That relationship led to his divorce last month by his wife Jo Wood, his wife of 24 years, of the grounds of adultery. *Alexa Ray Joel the daughter of of pop star Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley was hospitalized after taking 8 pills at her Manhattan apartment, a law enforcement official sais Saturday. A friend frantically called 911 shortly after noon on Saturday from the singer's Greenwich Village apt., saying Joel, 23, had taken 'several pills', the official told "The Associated Press" Joel is hospitalized in stable condition and receving treatment, Joel's publicist Clarie Mercuri said, but wouldn't elaborate~

*Adam Lambert the glam rocker will appear and perform on it's daytime talk show "The View" on Thursday. The announcement comes after Lambert's racy performance on ABC's broadcast of "The American Music Awards" It led to Lambert getting axed from an appearance on the network's "Good Morning America"

*A publicist says the daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley is staying with her father two days after being trated in New York for a possible overdose of pills. Alexa Ray Joel's publicist Clarie Mercuri won't say where the 23-year old is staying. Billy Joel has homes in Manhatten and on Long Island. His daughter was hospitalized for several hours on Saturday, after police received a 911 call saying she had taken several pills. Police say it is not clear whether she accidentally overdosed or attempted suicide:(

*Diane Sawyer says this week is her last as co-anchor of ABC's "Good Morning America", as she prepares to replace Charles Gibson as anchor on "World News" will be Dec. 18. Sawyer starts Dec. 21.
