You ladies seem to be having a quite a conversation going on...
Even i have those questions the two of you have..
The writers are bringing us on a wild ride here...
All i wish is that they would kind of speed up the process a bit..

Btw,is it just me or is Danny more sarcastic this season?
 
^Have yet to see the new season, but I will... very soon, so idk.

I'm afraid so. He's definitely changed this year, which wouldn't be that bad in itself if someone explained us why.

^Knowing how the TPTB acts, they won't. No amount of persuasion will make them change their mind.

The only explanation I can think of right now... they've somewhat exhausted their creative juices on Danny last season. They want to focus on another character this season so they quit on Danny cold turkey.
 
It's nasty,what the TPTB are doing with Danny..
They brought him up well in S1,sort of forgot him in S2 and seem to be doing something to Danny that removes the "Danny" from the Danny in S3...
 
For me, it's okay that they shift their creative juices to other characters this season. After all, they need to build up each character the same.

What I don't like... as well as understand is that why do they have to quit cold turkey on the development of the other character?. They don't have to. They can insert some subtlties in their major storyline for other characters too.
 
I don't mind so much that Danny has fallen to the wayside a bit in character development--it really is someone else's turn--but to change him dramatically with no real explanation or reason really bothers me.

Danny doesn't have to have drama in every episode--sometimes it's little things, like Danny complaining about the smell of fish or being bothered when old guys are dating young girls, that make his character stand out. Danny is so feisty and opinionated, and I don't want to see that change.
 
I don't mind him being played down, but like chaostheory08 said... why do they have to quit cold turkey? *SIGH* I guess it's how they work though... giving us no continuity what-so-ever.
