Carmine Giovinazzo

Not only the Carmine fan-species,Kimmy...The CSI franchise in general..I noticed there aren't many guys around on this site...I feel endangered on this site..Lol!!
Btw,your avvie is funnay...

No problem,Spring..You couldn't have possibly known..Besides,we haven't been formally introduced to each other have we?

Chaos..I know it will be hard but try to control yourself abit..Try not to go into gutter mode that easy..Hahahahah!!

Can't help it. CSI:NY characters have that effect on me. The other CSIs don't. Hahahahah...

Well, I somewhat share your pain, Comte. There aren't a lot of people around me who share the same CSI love as I have (except my mom and my brother, seriously). As for my classmates... er, they don't watch it and if they attempt to, they don't understand it.

But two of my classmates became CSI fans because of Eddie and CArmine hahahah!

Comte, it's definitely good to have a fan-guy here! :D There are a few other guys around the site, but yes, there are more women here than men it seems.

^Oh yeah, that is what made it fun to watch.

The way they melded together in that episode -- Danny seemed to be in a bad mood and Flack wants to lighten him up. Of course, he could do that in some other ways ... but let's not go into that *wink*.

And I guess, they're always like that. Yin and Yang in a way.

Yeah, I think that's kind of cool. Eddie described Danny as Flack's id in his interview, which I thought was pretty dead on. Danny has emotional outbursts and acts out in ways Flack never would, but Flack can understand where the desire to do so comes from. I think he's also pretty protective of Danny because he knows how emotional Danny can be, and how hard Danny takes things.

i think part of the reason that carmine threads are so popular (aside from him being cute to the ladies...and maybe some guys) is that whether you are a die hard carmine fan or not, there is something about him that is appealing. like i have said on numerous times, my heart may lie with eddie, but carmine is sexy. his accent, the looks he gives, his sarcasm...he has a little something for everyone!

^There's something in him that makes you want to have more. He's intriguing in a way. He's no ordinary Hollywood celebrity pretty boy (unlike some guys in that TV Guide list).

Top -- you mentioning the interview made me feel so jealous again lol.... nice interviews, as always!

It's nice to know that the actors themselves notice the deeper on-screen relationships their characters have. Just goes to show how dedicated they are on their craft.

I wonder what they would think if they're reading this lol....

Carmine is sexy, but really I think it's the fact that Danny is so passionate and fiery and a little tormented that makes the character so interesting. I like the contrast between Danny and Flack, who is much more stoic and keeps his emotions close to his chest, but what makes Danny so compelling as a character really isn't Carmine's looks (and Carmine himself said as much!) as it is Danny being an electric character.

I do like how both Carmine and Eddie really seem to enjoy the friendship between their characters. It really is pretty special and unique in the CSI universe.

Yeah, it's not all the time that we see actors playing out their off-screen friendship with their on-screen interaction. I sure haven't seen that in other CSIs.

One of my favorite topics for a CSI conversation is about the individual characters sans the forensic theme of the show. And the fact that DAnny has the MOST layers in his identity/character makes for good and loooong conversations.

That's exactly what attracted me to him. I've always loved passionate, tormented souls, those tough guys with a heart of gold and he fit the description so well I went from a "regular" fan of the show to an... uhm, obsessed gal in the space of an episode! :D

Plus, I like writing fanfics and a character with so many layers as Danny is pure heaven.

You guys have nailed it. Pretty guys are all over the place on tv, as are pretty guys who can't act their way out of a barrel. But, what separates Carmine from the rest is the depth that he gives Danny. Layers is an excellent description, chaos.

^Yeah, there are a LOT of 'cute' guys there who can't act to save their lives. And yet... they have LEGIONS of fans.

Idk, to each his own, I guess. That doesn't work for me.

The way Carmine plays Danny intrigues, makes you think - and at the same time, makes you pity and admire him in a way. He is able to show what the character went through with just his expressions and minimal words.

That's absolutely true. I have never seen "Danny" in any of his other acting gigs, even the sh*tty ones. Each character he plays is developed differently and comes through differently, and that is as much a strength of the actor as it is a good director and writer as well.

Sigh - now I want to jump the man even more

Layer by layer, conversation by conversation,Danny may begin to be more comprehensible...No less interesting than usual,though...

I guess part of the props can go to the writers. I mean, it seems as if they spent every waking season2 moment just to develop his character. And it's a blessing that they managed to have such a great actor to put their words on-screen and be believable.

Yeah, Danny is definitely the most well-developed character on CSI: NY, far and away. The complexity of the character is what makes him so compelling and interesting. I've noticed that with Ryan on CSI: Miami as well--he's not perfect either, and screws up sometimes, but that makes him leaps and bounds more interesting than characters who always do the right thing or have the right answer. That's why I loved Danny so much in season one...he kept screwing up, but his heart was in the right place.

He's the big kid lost in the big laboratory. He represents the naivete as well as the determination of a misunderstood kid (or teenager) trying to please his dad (Mac).
