Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

^Yeah, there'd be no inappropriate touching, right?

Seriously, it will crack me up to no end if he ends up in the shower in "On the Job." Or any other episode. I think we'd have to write the writers a group thank you note.

The CPR thing cracked me up because we had talked about it pages and pages ago.

Hey, if he gets upset in "On the Job," he could even shower at home. Presumably he's going to be suspended during the investigation.

OK, imagery. Beautiful imagery.

Anyways...  The ep really does look good. I'm pretty psyched about this one. Danny does angst well. Like any good drama queen, he's great at the "it's all about meeeeee!" stuff.

*Snicker* If you believe that then I've got a bridge to sell you.

If he does end up in the shower I will be in a state of delicious shock. A thank you note for the writers? I'm thinking statues erected in their honor!

I wonder what Danny's apartment would look like. You reckon he's a slob bachelor or a neatnik? I opt for slob bachelor.

Crying in the shower? Yes...this could work. And then, being the caring and concerned person I am, I'd hear his weeping and thus join him in an effort to cheer him up. Purely out of the goodness of my heart, you understand.
Wow, I hope it's a big shower, since I've been sitting in there a while waiting for him. It could get crowded with the three of us in there. I’m sure Danny won’t mind a bit though.

 Well, with the way he said "I've got girlfriends for that" in Tanglewood, I'd be inclined to say he is indeed of the "The more, the merrier" mindset.

^

Thank you for that Bitten I was on the verge of drooling on a student's The Awakening essay.

I need some Danny stimulation, sort of like a nooner for the mind.

Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

 JDonne, you sent me into my Lit Theory final with the giggles after I read what you said.

The Awakening, eh? Yeah, I read that in 11th grade. I really actually like Kate Chopin, but that particular story grated on my nerves because I didn't enjoy the way the teacher taught it. I should probably read it again and see how I react to it now.

PS. Huck Finn is OVER!!

Oh, and so I'm not completely off topic...Danny is sexy. Nuff said.

Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

Bitten, take a hammer to that book!!! YAY!!!! :D

I love The Awakening, but I think Chopin's short stories are the best. Which is rare for me--usually I prefer novels/novellas, but Chopin really is a master of the short story. Anyone read "The Story of an Hour"? Good stuff.

As for Danny...I'm sure we all have, erm, our own personal fantasies of what it would be like to join in for that shower scene. If it did make it to the screen, I'd guess we'd see him angsting--letting the (hot) water run down his body and maybe closing his eyes like he did in "Tanglewood." Maybe he'd lean against the shower wall and sigh.

Damn, I typed that entire paragraph without once setting off the PG-13-o-Meter! Ladies, some praise, please! :D

And Bitten--I agree, I think he's a slob bachelor. Clothes all over, books everywhere (hey, a girl can dream!). Not dirty but messy.

Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

Bitten, happy is the only way to walk into a Lit Theory final, well-armed works as well. I loved Lit Theory!
Tallyho, the author is dead - sorry flashback!

"The Story of an Hour” is one of my all time favorites. We read it for the specialty class I teach, along with Charlotte Perkins Gilman's "The Yellow Wall Paper. I teach five classes per trimester, three overview classes, one senior seminar, and one specialty. We had a great discussion going for that one, selfish vs. selfless.

Ahhh, leaning his head against the wall, steam rising around his body, droplets of water cascading downward, his face pained and anguished, then suddenly his face transforms into glowing excitement - the camera pans down hordes of women have made there way into the scene, who could they be?

It must have been in the bathroom. Because your words may have been clean, but the mind dirty dirty dirty!

Books on art and philosophy would litter Danny’s floors, and then my clothes would join in. Men who read are just incredibly energizing. ;)

Oh, cool! I would have loved that class. I like "The Yellow Wallpaper" a lot--Gilman is an interesting writer. Have you read Herland? I actually tracked that down after reading about it in an intro to one of Gilman's story collections and read it in high school. It's a utopian (dystopian?) novel about a land of only women I think. Some men stumble across it; chaos ensues.

He wouldn't stand a chance.

Yes they are. And generally smart, too--smart men are sexy. :D

Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

If I'm guessing, I'm gonna speculate that his apartment is neat and fairly organized. Reason being: got the impression during "Blood, Sweat and Tears" that Danny doesn't spend a great deal of time in his apartment.

"Ah, yeah, well that don't mean anything. I've lived in my apartment three years now; my neighbors don't recognize me." - D. Messer

Great dirty minds think alike, that's exactly how I see it, too. :D

Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

It would definitely be a steamy shower. Even if the water's not hot... ;)

Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

A dirty mind is a terrible thing to waste!

Re: The Locker Room: All Danny, All The Time

Mine gets regular exercise all the time.
