British Fans... Who would you cast in CSI: London?

I also find Jason Statham hot, in a "thuggish" sort of way. :)

But that's neither here nor there. Ah look, the Mods are taking the thread off topic... how pleasant.

Mods, BEHAVE! :p

 How could I forget Colin!? (must be the booze)
Of course he is good looking (perhaps not so young) <3

But who cares about his age ;) I was just watching "Heartbeat" and that one young policeman isn't so bad looking... don't know the name, tho.

I like very much the Stephen Fry idea.
And how about Alan Rickman as the team leader and Ralph Fiennes as a traumatized detective,he's great playing traumatized characters.

We weren't casting big movie people, Hormiga, otherwise I'd say Alan Rickman would be ace!

I also like the idea of Joanna Lumley as the Catherine character - she'd be great!

Oh, that's so funny, Ducky! Joanna Lumley

Well, what about Alex Kingston? As leading lady? And Hugh Laurie could play the kind of Grissom person.

For the Greg/Ryan type, how about Christopher Eccleston (Dr Who)?

I was gonna say that, but since I already voted for David Tennent, I thought we might end up with too many Doctor Whos :D I think Eccleston would be better as a more senior lab rat or coroner, he's a bit old and has too much clout for him to be the Greg/Ryan type.

Steven Fry and Colin Firth are inspired choices!

Oh yes! Colin Firth is just lovely (so is Jennifer Ehle who played Lizzy to his Mr Darcy) and it would be great to have Stephen and Hugh together again!

Reading this, I'd be very glad to jump on the bandwagon for Helen Mirren and Hugh Laurie. Somehow though, I can't resist the temptation to suggest Ross Kemp (Eastenders and Ultimate Force among others) for some role - maybe as a detective?

In terms of slightly younger ones, maybe Keeley Hawes (Spooks, Tipping the Velvet etc), Lisa Faulkner (Spooks, Holby City, Murder in Suburbia) and Elyes Gabel (Casualty)

EDIT - And, oh yes, how could I forget - Kris Marshall as a lab-rat!

i like the idea of Eccleston as a coroner too. Also how about Esther Hall as the young female CSI. Oh yeah, im very keen on David Tennant being involved in the show in anyway so long as he's on screen alot! :p

Oh yes, good choices! I can imagine any of those as a young Sara-type CSI, though I think Ross Kemp would just make a good baddie, i.e. a corpse

OMG Kris Marshall as a crazy lab-rat *kicks self for not thinking of that one* that would be so perfect! Though I have to say, I wouldn't want to see Ross Kemp in it permanently - maybe as a guest-star baddie/body/both...

OO, So many good choices mentioned!
I like the Colin Firth thing but I couldn't see him working with forensics.
Joanna Lumley too. They are both a little too "posh" to be getting their hands dirty.

I like Trevor Eve and Sue Johnston on Waking the Dead so I'd want someone like them to play parts.

Stephen Fry would be a good choice. He is very knowledgable and would be very convincing!

Christopher Eccleston would be great too!

How about Keira Knightley? Just a thought!
