"Blood Moon" Discussion **SPOILERS**

:bolian:FANTASTIC I'm an extremely happy fan on this episode. To see LF/Ray featured exclusisvely, what a treat. He's one magnificent specimen. From the way he looks, walks, talks, his low seductive voice, the delivery of his dialogue, so perfect so precise. His expressions, his mannersims. He goes from low-key serious, to funny to angry and everything in between. "He's a master of all he surveys" and he takes my breath away~so glad he's on CSI
weehee.gif

The opening scene wth Cath & Vartann switching to the crime happening a guy getting hacked to death, strange indeed. I personally don't see anything between them I'm not against it, but don't care and am not interested, in seeing two people in their 50's in bed:rolleyes: Even in their hey-day we never saw GSR in that scenerio~

Then the terrible horrible crime scene, w/ the kid and his head chopped off. Ray "He was alive when his head was chopped off"

Nick, Super Dave and Ray examing the scene "How'd he get out here, way up on Mt. Charleston?

Nick & Ray what to say? So in tune so bonded, since "Family Affair" when Nick took Ray under his wing. "You don't have to wear a tie", they've become so close, and what a delight to see them working together..again~

Doc and Dave, and getting the severed head off the pole Doc: "It's like trying to get meat off a shish-ka-bob" Gross,:angryrazz: I almost lost my dinner on this scene~

Sara and Ray. he and she are also so meshed almost a flirty kind of banter, the sweet smiles between them. Scads of stab marks~

Cath and Lou talking about their sex life how romantic:rolleyes: And of course nosy Hodges hovering watching and listening as always:shifty:

Ray and Nck & on Ray with the cane, maybe he keeps him balanced, maybe for comfort who knows, but it really doesn't and has not made him falter from his job~ [Gawd does he look "sexy" in sunglasses, and those hunky muscular arms]

Ray finding the wedding vows and reading it in part "I dedicate my soul to you" Nick: "I love you too honey" They go to the Vampire wedding and they get the hissing and weirdness from the people there. Nick: "You wouldn't have any garlic on you"? Ray: "No, fresh out":rommie:

Cath and Ray talking to the bride and groom~

Greg and Sara and his story to Sara about a Vampire in Romania she's listens in disbelief~

So Ray and Nick go to a Vampire/Werewolves 'convention', and then Ray scares Nick with his 'red contacts and phony fangs/teeth. Nick "Whoa" Ray: "Ya' like it"? Nick: "Yeah, creepy". Ray: "I feel dangerous":eek:Both having a ball:lol:

Andy Dick and the different swords and hachets he's weird too~

They experiement w/ Jello man and proved that more than one person hacked him to death~

Hodges and his "pearls of wisdom" to Cath about Wendy realzing his errors and mistakes to late. Cath "I'll keep that in mind"~

Dog Timber, and the werewovles all at a outside cafe with one guy being obnoxious and Ray steps in Mr. Brave and says "Get you hands off her" Nick" Everybody be cool, be cool now boys" Ray puts the choke hold on the guy Curt and is so cool and calm while he's doing it. This guy is nasty and is a werewolve and hates Vampires~

Greg and Sara on the gas guzzler car [what's with Jorja's hair, she looks like she just got out of bed and didn't comb it] She smells vomit.. gross~

Lunch room Nick: "Is that what were really going to talk about, I'm eating" Greg: "Your always eating"

Prior case where woman ground up blood and bones and made it into a protein drink which Ray was drink and gagged a bit:( It must be a real high for George to work with Laurence, and probably learning new skills as is Laurence is too~

Ray goes to talks at the whatever it's called and drinking blood can make one sick Guy says "this is inappropriate" so Nick says "Things are a little somber here, and as the good book says let there be light" He opens the blinds and the people's skin blister, so weird. and so sickening they've got medical symptoms called Preferia. He did drink the blood..gag me>>:klingon:

Cath..Ray..Nick..Hosdges and Sara go over evidence, the Nick and Sara go up to Mt.Charleston and find the Ax and other stuff So Michael switched for love and the girl goes "you can't do that, so they join forces to kill their common enemy > So the girl was the one. Love built on a lie, and You cannot be someone your not. So they talked her into hacking him to death. Lord have mercy:(

Nick and Ray in the final scene, and Nick eating again.. watchig an olf Dracula movie Nick: "I saw this when I was 7 and was scared to death" and they both laughed. Ray: "Vampires and Werewolves were to explain trhe evil in the world, but if there were no evil in the world, we'd be out of a job--cell rings..Nick: "triple homicide out at the Tangiers! Ray "Lets go hunt some monsters"

Great, fantastic, supensful, intriguing, interesting and funny episode. I give this a big A+.

While i'm only 22 i don't have a problem with alex (45) and marg (51) displaying two characters who care about each other having a hot scene like that at the beginning of the episode (especially when they look like marg and alex), if it was laurence fishburne and ray's wife i wonder if you'd be so disgusted?

Personally i could care less about vampires vs werewolves but i thought this was a great episode and an impressive csi debut by the new writers, a nice mix of gore, humour, bugs, greg and sara banter and the obligatory bashing of a dummy.

I like the episode. I have to agree everything what desertgoblin said about everybody said. I like Ray and Nick and they have a strong bond with each other. Ray is always concern about Nick then Grissom does.

Nick mention Grissom to Sara about Grissom being in Trans. (I can't spell the word, so I put appre.) I find it sad about people think Werewolves and Vampires are real, but they are not. I'm not saying they are real. They are just movies. The girl will get light sentence if she testify against wolf leader and vampire leader what they told her to do.

I can't wait to see next week episode. I like Ann-Margaret.

I give this episode A plus.

I forgot to mention the creepy-crawler in the dead guys mouth, GROSS:angryrazz:and Ray going "How'd he get there"? and Nick going on what it was "A Long-horned beetle". So Nick is now the bug-man. Where on earth do the writers get these nasty little critters?

Well I'm sure I could give a true in depth review but I think my brain shut down after oh, the first 3 minutes.
Why did your brain shut down, ghosthunter? Did you fall asleep or did you literally go unconscious? Either way, I hope you can watch it the second time without your brain shutting down.

I think you can rent them from people that train/breed them. They do that for dogs. Why not bugs? But who would want to live with cockroaches...ohh, wait, Grissom would.

I agree that this season is really good. This week was better then I expected.I knew that the Catherine and Vartan scene would be enough to make the episode worthy for me,but I ended liking the episode a lot.Teamwork, nice character interactions and a good case.

To be honest, I don't think she deserves a lighter sentence. She made her choice and she murdered somebody, and just because she turns on her accomplices shouldn't give her an out.

I'm a fair way past 22, and I wasn't disgusted by the Cath/Vartann scene, merely disinterested. Admitedly, I don't particularly like Catherine and prefer the scenes she's not in, but I wouldn't be overly impressed with any couple getting that scene. But if I wanted to watch a couple go at it, I'd get some porn, not switch on to a CSI show.

The episode itself was okay. Not as good as other episodes dealing with Vampires.
Nick and Ray were great in the hotel room. I do like Ray when he is working with Nick, he's not so 'know it all'. And did I miss something, when did Nick become the bugman?

In the season 9 finale, "All In", he was seen heading off to an entomology conference and tells Ray they need a new bug man. :) Since then there have been a few references to Nick being the bug guy now...the spider in "Family Affair", the cockroaches in "Shock Waves", and now this.

So he is the new bug-guy, he had a good teacher, and seems to know everything Grissom knew, he possibly can do everything that his former boss can do, and including 'bugs' and then some;)

I liked the episode. The opening was so hot! I am not talking shiply( that word exists? :p) but Cathy and Varty is a sweet, cute couple i think.

I like the folkloric vampire stories ( for the record ,i was never interested in Twilight thing :p) . I enjoyed to see Greg knows a lot about vampires. Go man! Sometimes i do search to learn what is the main source about the vampires and it is very fun

Sara working with Greg and Nick is another nice thing to see. I always hated to see Sara angst and she is mostly positive and supportive with Greg and Nick. I guess that's why i like. I also never interested in Gill-Sara thing but again hearing about Grissom always makes me smile.

Hodges Hodges Hodges... Once again i wanna hug him. Please somebody hug him! Or Greg go talk to him,do something! :scream:

What else what else? Yes the garlic joke with Nick and Ray, the scene with Ray-Nick-Greg was so funny! Hihi...

It wasn't bad but could have been better.

I liked seeing Greg and Sara working together, they are always fun.

BUT, I am getting really tired of Ray getting rough with suspects and getting away with it. Plus the old Nick would not have let him get away with that behavior...

I think she meant it shut down after the hot Cath/Vartann scene.

To be honest, I don't think she deserves a lighter sentence. She made her choice and she murdered somebody, and just because she turns on her accomplices shouldn't give her an out.

I would say it was a crime of passion. She didn't know why she was going out there with him at first until the others showed her the picture. She felt betrayed by him and went into a rage. Since it was a crime of passion and not a planned by her, she should probably get a little less time (not much less, but a few years less). The fact of the matter is, the guys knew full well that they were gonna do that to the "traitor", the girl didn't know and just reacted upon hearing the news of his "betrayal"... so I would say it was pre-meditated for the guys, but crime of passion for the girl.

BUT, I am getting really tired of Ray getting rough with suspects and getting away with it. Plus the old Nick would not have let him get away with that behavior...

I didn't realize he does this a lot. I can only thing of a couple of instances. But the choke hold thing and Ray describing the effects of it reminded me of that thing that Xena did to cut off blood flow to enemies heads' to get them to talk to her. Well, that and when Ray said "I'm guessing you're going to pass out soon", I thought of the whole Vulcan neck pinch thing.

I think that by Nick becoming the bug guy, he's also addressing some latent fears he might have still had due to the whole being buried alive and attacked by bugs thing. It's like he's facing his fears and getting past them. :)

That scene of Ray grabbing the wolf guy...and the one where he's trying to cut the head off of Jello man...good grief! A man who can do all of that doesn't need a cane!

I know...I know...if he DIDN'T have one we'd all scream about continuity and how ridiculous that he seems healed already, and now that he has one we think he should get rid of it. We're never happy, are we??

Well blood moon is set 4 and a half months after shock waves happened so i expected to see ray without his cane :).

Yeah, Ray shouldn't need a cane 4 1/2 months after. And since when does a CSI constantly get violent with suspects? :shifty:

Ok, this time it was plausible as the guy was 'molesting' the woman, but the other times? :shifty:
