Dodgers Introduce Torre At Press Conference
The Dodgers introduced Joe Torre as their new manager this morning during a press conference at Dodger Stadium. All I can say: I'm stoked! Bring it, baby!
Also, Andy Pettitte declined to exercise his $16 million option, so he's going to declare free agency. In addition, Greg Maddux and the Padres agreed to a one-year deal worth $10 million.

Congratulations to Boston Red Sox Dustin Pedroia on winning the American League Rookie of the year honours. He soundly defeated Delmon Young of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun won the National League honours. He beat out Troy Tulowitzki of the Colorado Rockies in a very close ballot.
It's also been reported that Jorge Posada of the New York Yankees has agreed to a 4 year worth $52millon dollars.

Well it appears the moment of truth has arrived for Barry Bonds. Bonds has been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury on perjury and obstruction of justice charges stemming from the steroid scandal.

Wow! Will this have any effect on his record breaking for most home runs? Not that I care, personally I am not a fan of his, but thought I would ask out of curiosity.

DJRideout if you're dreaming then I'm dreaming the same thing :lol: I've seen several sources that are saying A-Rod is talking to the Yankees again. And it will be interesting to see about Bonds home run record. Personally I will think of Hank Aaron as the home run king. I have not like Bonds' attitude will trying to break Aaron's record.

Ok, I know that this is nearly 3 weeks late, but I haven't been able to post for awhile, so...
*sigh*
As one of the few Rockies fans on this thread, I have to say that the WS outcome was definitely disappointing, but I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am of this team. Their run made October (or Rocktober, as it's known over here) amazing, and I'm really proud to call myself a fan. Boston played a great game and deserved the title (as much as it pains me to say it), but now I'm just looking forward to spring training (hmm...spring break in Arizona, perhaps?)
That's all I wanted to say (3 weeks late)...
I'm also glad that there is still discussion going on, even though the season ended last month!
Oh, and one more order of business before I finish:
