One more day...
I'm really excited, but also nervous (which makes for a great game). I do acknowledge the fact that Boston has a pretty potent lineup, but I have complete faith in the Rockies. It's going to be interesting, to say the least. Each team will have its hands full with the other, and I can't wait to see them fight it out!

GO ROCKIES!!!!

I'm in Massachusetts but I'm rooting for the Rockies. It was funny on the news this morning. They said that the Rockies players were walking around the city of Boston and nobody knew who they were. Even our news people couldn't identify the position they played when given their names.

For those interested Tim Wakefield (nuckleball pitcher) isn't on the Red Sox World Series roster. Shoulder's bothering him. Schilling will be pitching game 2 in his spot and John Lester will be pitching game four.

well, I can kinda see why they (the rockies) weren't noticed, seeing how often they visit Boston...slim to none!

I've been trying to figure out who has the upper hand between the two teams, but its difficult to say, and I don't know who I will be rooting for, or if I will at all. Sure I'll watch the games and I hope the series goes the full length, cause I am right in the mood for some more great ball.

Wow....though I'm not really cheering for either team, I have to wonder, what happened to the Rockies? Is Boston that dominant and strong that the Rockies can't get anything going? They're like a whole different team out there on the field.

I myself have been wondering what happened to the Rockies. Was 8 days off too much and they lost their momentum? Ever since that comment from Manny Ramirez about there's always next year the Red Sox have been ruthless on beating up on the opposition. Maybe they're trying to prove that 2004 was not a fluke.

I don't know what happened to them, it could be that eight days was too long, and the fact that some of the practice had to be done indoors because of the snow, but look at the indians and the sox, it was 3-1, then 3-2 then 3-3. So the rockies could come back. But who knows.

One thing I imagine alot players from alot of teams are hoping that the WS doesn't end. Because sometime after it does the "Mitchell Report" will be out. The one where they are investigating steroid use among players, it is said that names would be released after the WS.

But alot of people are having a problem with Mitchell being the one who is doing this considering his connection to the Boston Red Sox in which he is on their board of directors. He says he can be objective, it has some people wondering though.

I hope for everyones sake that the Rockies can bounce back and take it to seven games.

If the Mitchell Report will help clean up baseball and in the long run other sports great. But I do agree that there should have been someone in charge that has no connection to baseball. I believe when Richard Pound was in charge of the IOC drug testing committee he was no longer a member of Canada's Olympic Committee and he was no longer on the IOC board of directors. That way he was totally impartial. Baseball should have done that but Bud Selig seems to like to keep things in the baseball family. Look how long it took him to relinquish control of the Brewers when he became commissioner!

Forgive me of my ignorance on the subject of this report, for I don't know a whole lot on it, so my comments here now are just in response of the couple of posts.

I agree Jacquie...if this report can help clean up baseball and the usage of steroids etc, then that would be a good thing. But it should have been someone not connected with the league in general. Someone who can look at every situation without favoring certain people or organizations. It would only seem logical to do it this way...but like you said, it does sound like Bud Selig wants to keep it within the "baseball family." My question is: Is there a hidden agenda or opportunity for certain cover ups by doing it this way? Maybe yes, maybe no...lol...maybe it's me thinking to much about the situation....I dunno!

The 2007 World Series Champs.. The Boston Red Sox

Congrats to the Boston Red Sox and their loyal fans. They proved that winning the World Series in 2004 was not a fluke. Now the fun stuff starts like *free* agency and the end of season awards.
