Geez at this rate were going to need to keep the awards in one post to be added to. How about I collect what has been done so far put them in one post and when we learn something new quote the post and add to it, all we do is quote the awards and names portion?

I'm not sure if this is one to be added to the list (Destiny, I'll leave that up to you decided since you took the time to post such a comprehensive list), but Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Jon Lester has been awarded the 2008 Hutch Award. The award, according to the linked article, "is given annually to a Major League player who best exemplifies the honor, courage and dedication of baseball great Fred Hutchinson, both on and off the field." At the site linked above, you can also read more about the award as well as see a list of past recipients. Here's the article posted on the Red Sox website, it has a little more information than the first one.

Red Sox fan or not, you have to admire Jon Lester for what he was able to overcome and what he's accomplished since then.
