I have to say that I think both Sara and Warrick leaving is very sad. It just dawned on me a couple of minutes ago that if CSI does end it will no longer have the prestige it does now as only Miami and NY with have new episodes...

But I think that if they loose anymore of the main cast, they have to give up the ghost. CSI is good and can keep it together, but without three of the main characters, it just wouldn't be CSI any more, a bad version of CSI more like running on ghosts.

I know this goes against of what a lot of you want, but I'd rather them just end the show with all the main characters intact rather then pull a ER. Then we could have one final episode to look back on. Think of the big deal everyone made of the Sopranos last year. CSI could be that if they go this route, rather then drag it on for simply ratings and money for CBS. I hope they do the right thing.

As much as I love the show, a finale with all the characters would mean more then episodes every Thursday for a couple years. The characters are what makes this show more then everything, if it wasn't, everyone would be fans of all three CSI's, and that typically isn't the case.

Eric Szmanda has signed on for season 9. He is sending out fan letters and he's telling fans he is looking forward to starting season 9. Wooo Hoooo

It will Gary Dourdan's swan song in the finale, but they have temporarily abandoned the search for a CSI to replace him. Instead, they're still looking for a female CSI to replace Jorja Fox.

Woooo Eric signed :D that's great news, I mean I thought he'd be staying but that kinda confirmation is cool :D and i'm glad they're not going to overload with new characters.

Yay, I'm so glad that Eric has confirmed he's staying, now I'm just waiting on confirmation from Marg and George and then I'll be a happy bunny... :lol:

great to hear that Eric is back for another season. I had no doubts, but there was always that possibility. You just never know for sure until it's official. So who's contracts are left that's undetermined for season 9?

I'm sure Marg, George and Paul are already sign up for 9th season. Ausiello said, Marg and George will likely to follow Billy.

Now, we got Marg, Eric and Billy out the way. Now let's get George and Paul to sign up. I know they will re-signed to the show. George said, he will stick it to the end of the show.

According to the article: "She was the last original cast member to re-up, by the way." That probably means all the other cast members (George, Paul) have re-signed their contracts ahead of Marg.

I really expected season 9 to be Marg's last, I am glad she is sticking around two more seasons!
