I agree, lets hear from them:thumbsup: part of the heart of CSI, is gone without two outstanding characters Sara, and Warrick,[he also stated a few months back, that he'd stay till the end] I hope and pray, that they return , and then it'll be like it used to be, full on CSI:bolian:, it's great that the stars Billy and Marg & Eric have decided to sign on, but some of us are sad without the others:(

Canadian actress Smith joins "CSI"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Canadian actress Lauren Lee Smith is joining "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" next season, filling the void left by the departure of Jorja Fox.

Details about her character are sketchy, but she will play a new sleuth joining the graveyard shift of the Las Vegas crimebusters.

The 27-year-old Vancouver native previously played a chef during three seasons of Showtime's lesbian drama "The L Word."

Lauren on CSI? She was sweet as Lara Perkins on The L Word, but I haven't seen her on anything else.

05.16.2008 LAUREN LEE SMITH JOINS THE CAST OF "CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION" AS A SERIES REGULAR LOS ANGELES, May 16 - Lauren Lee Smith joins the cast of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION next season as a series regular.

She will play CSI Bryce Adams, a smart, flirtatious, and witty non-conformist who entered law enforcement to rebel against her judgmental psychiatrist father. She has always been fascinated by the perverse underbelly of society and cannot be shocked or intimidated. She will be hired onto Grissom's night shift team.

Lauren Lee Smith was first discovered out of Vancouver, Canada when she was cast into Showtime's "The L-Word." Lauren then went on co-star in "Art School Confidential" opposite Max Minghella, and received critical praise and attention from her performance in the independent film "Lie with Me." Lauren also co-starred opposite Casey Affleck and Zach Braff in "The Last Kiss," and "Pathology" opposite Michael Weston and Milo Ventimiglia. She will also soon be seen in the horror film "Trick 'r Treat," as well as a lead role opposite Ashley Judd in the film "Helen."

I remember her from MutantX where she had dark hair and she kicked butt. I also remember her (don't laugh) from the MTV spoof 2ge+ther...she played the girlfriend.

I love this actrice. I hope the new caracter will great but i hope there the only new caracter. Nobody for remplace Warrick and more scene for other caracter (greg, nick, wendy, hodges...)

Why do I have the feeling that her and Greg are going to get on like le maison en flambe? (please forgive my poor French pronoun- can't remember if it's le or les. Don't think it's la.)

No :) I believe Robert David Hall has signed up for another 3 seasons. I know Marg has definitely signed up for another 2.

You are so right...I forgot she was on 2+Gether.....and I was a fan of Mutant X also so I'm looking forward to seeing how she fits in. I'm glad they went with someone possibly different than Sara.

where did you hear that Marg has signed up for two more seasons? the last I heard, she had not yet signed but that she was expected to.
