San Diego police are on the lookout for a cross-dressing crook, who robed a bank in the city's gay district. Witnesses describe the thief as a 6-ft-tall 200-pound Hiepanic man with french manicured nails and a pink bra who dressed in dark pants and a white shirt

A woman in India recently lost her life--because of ants--while she was recovering from cornea surgery in a New Delhi hospital. The woman complained about pain in her eye, but a nurse dimissed it as normal after surgery. The next morning the woman was dead. When the bandage was removed, big black ants were observed eating her eye---GROSS-DISGUSTING AND SICKENING

FORMER EMPLOYEE FINDS NOWHERE TO HIDE

Fergus Falls, MN. A former employee attempted to burglarize a restaurant apparently didn't know any good hiding places. Police responded to a burglary alarm at the Speedway Restaurant Monday and surrounded the building. When officers entered, they discovered that the burgular had tried to hide in the ceiling. He fell through and tried hiding in the oven instead. "The guy was only half-baked when he was picked up" joked Police Chief Capt. Hugo mcPhee. The 43--year old man was taken to the County jail

Over at yahoo.com in the news section, they have various odd news stories daily.

    The ones from today:

In Canada there was an elderly guy sleeping in his car in below freezing weather and he was given parking tickets and then his car was impounded. At the police station, they didn't even realize he was still in there until they saw movement inside hours later due to ice on the windows. Police say they didn't understand his behavior.

And then in Sweden, there was a guy fined for reading child porn to kindergardeners as part of a children's sexuality project (? okies...) and he says nothing was pornographic in the least.

Where do these nutjobs come from?

    UNFILTERED

Cigarette art doesn't go up in smoke--Clark Whittington of North Carolina uses beautifully restored cigarette machines across the United states to sell sketches-jewerly and miniscultures by more than 400 artists. And they're on $5 a pop. Art lovers buy a $5 token, put it in the Art-o-mat machine, pull a knob and out pops a piece of art. Whittington agrees that artists could use more money than the $2.50 they earn per sale, but thinks charging more might scare away potental buyers. "There's not many ways you can split up five bucks" he says, but adds, "we did turn a profit last year for the first time" My salary was $3,000"
