Gil <3 Cath #29: PureJoy–Enough Chemistry to Power Vegas

I love the way you put that. 25 years is absolutly epic. I wonder how he got to know she was in nightschool then, they must've talked before he employed her, I wonder who talked to who first. God I would just love a flashback of their first meeting.

Lol, thanking. I had fun searching for 'em. Specially the Cath one, I still find that hilarious. The good ol' 80s eh?

 

And that's what makes this epic friendship one for the record books... seriously, I don't know many relationships that have lasted this long and they're still going strong after all those years. *begs TPTB not to break them up*

 

*on knees begging too* Exactly, because of this, there is no reason whatsoever that they shouldn't say a proper goodbye to the other if one leaves. It just makes sense. Neither one knows when they'll see each other again. We all know how she acted when he went in for surgery and I like to think that this is sort of the same thing. She doesn't know when and if he's coming back, so wouldn't she want to cling onto him as long as she can? I would think so, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I think no matter how they first met, Catherine was, more than likely, the first one to speak. I'm sure when he laid eyes on her, she took his breath away.

BTW, in the new tv guide there's feedback about our wonderful interview and, of course, it's all positive.:thumbsup: The pic they used is the same one from the cover and in the caption it says 'sexy csi soul mates?'....now doesn't that just sound like them? I just had to share this bit of info.

 

Thier "goodbye" scene all depends on how he goes about leaving. I mean, what might happen is that he doesn't tell anybody, that's a sad thought but it could happen. It's kinda Grissomish. I think Catherine would hurt him for that though. If he does let people know he's leaving, we must get something. I mean how long have we gone with practically nothing? For too bloody long I say! I like to think we'll at least get a hug of some sort, like we were saying, 25 years is a crazy long time to just say goodbye and that be it.

Going back to if she was married to Eddie when they met, I'm starting to think that perhaps she was. Remember that scene where he comes to the lab (and Gil fights him off ) and he's saying to Catherine how he used to pay for her "habit", well surely she didn't have such a habit when she was working for/with Griss? Just a thought.

That is simply perfect! I like how it has a question mark after it too I know they're both happily married but a tiny, tiny part of me wouldn't mind if they got together in RL...LOLZ...Ahum.

Anybody seen tonight's ep? I'm not hearing good things so I think I may avoid. I know there were no G/C scenes and it was pretty GSR heavy, so yush, Amy shall be avoiding I think.

Ams, there were no really good GC scenes. There was a good one of Cath laughing with Nick at a hypnotist (reminded me of the scene in Living Doll where Grissom and Catherine watched the ventrilloquist). It was pretty GSR heavy, and I'd avoid the first five minutes after the teaser. But guess who left without a goodbye again...and guess who told her that he wanted her to leave him.

I'm actually writing a fic about how I think Grissom's final episode should go...even though I should be studying bio...the very thought depresses me.

Then yes, I shall avoid like the plague. I knew Sara left without telling him, meh, that makes me more annoyed lol. To be fair though, in my head the writers couldn't do right for doing wrong lol. Basically all TPTB are doing is they're setting them up for a nice happy ending, giving them a little bit of grief now and then getting them all nice and happy for Grissom's departure. It's meh but it's what I expected to be honest.

I think I might write one after the ep airs because I probs won't be satisfied lol.

I think we should go for a thread title that has something to do with that lovely article Something like 'A Roll in the Sack' but more creative lmao.

 

haha I know what you mean....they'd certainly be cute together and you can't help, well at least I can't, but wonder what would've happened if they would've met before either one was married. Don't get me wrong though, I respect that they're both married and wouldn't want them to jeopardize that in any way, which I'm certain they wouldn't. I love the relationship they have with each other though...they are just so fun to watch. I bet they're more best friends than Gil and Cath are.:lol:

So that's what, twice now, she's walked out on him!? Is it just me or when the going gets tough, the tough don't get going in this case? I wish, for once, he would think with his head..the one on his shoulders.:scream:

Plus they make out/cuddle/show affection more than their characters so that's always good for us *coughs* pornpornporn *coughs* Billy's openly admitted to finding her attractive (like we didn't know that anyway) and c'mon, it's Billy, he's just lovely so how could Marg not adore him? My bets on that if both of them had been single when they met, well, fireworks baby, fireworks.

Oh I just totally LOL'd all over myself. We all know they won't break up, they'll ride off on a giant chocolate covered cockroach into the glow of Vegas lights. That's how it's gonna go down. *slaps up TPTB* Maybe they'll surprise me and have a nice, well rounded team goodbye (and of course a special scene with Catherine, because she is just that, special ) suppose you never know.

I still wanna know if I should watch the ep? I mean I know the main things that happens. Sara gets mad 'cuz that guy turned off life support, argues with Gman, leaves. Is there anything else I should watch for? Keeping in mind that I'm not exactly a huge fan of Sara, no offence to Ms Jorja but I never was attracted to Sara as a character. If it's a Sara-centric ep I'm willing to pass, just as long as I'm not missing anything too pivotal.

I havta say, 'How 'bout that roll in the sack?' is my favourite.

ETA - I just had a funny idea. With Sara being gone and speculation about whether Griss sleeps with Lady H, wouldn't it be funny if he did and they had that whole Rachel/Ross thing, 'WE WERE ON A BREAK!' Siiiigh, my mind is weird.

I really love the "Sexy CSI SoulMates one". That's so PureJoy, because everyone's known they belong together - even Billy and Marg!

I hope that when Billy does leave, Gil will have a private goodbye session with Catherine - because out of everyone, it's those two that deserve a private one.

I know Lady Heather is coming up soon on the show - I've always thought she'd be a closet GC shipper too...

So I watched the ep last night. Boring as hell I havta say. The GSR wasn't that bad, they only had 2 scenes so it didn't really take over. I dunno if it was just me but Griss (and perhaps Billy too) just seems so tired and fed up. Like his mind's somewhere else. Hmmmm.
Both cases were kinda lame, it was just a weird episode. I guessed Cath and Nick's killer in about 10 minutes. Cath's 'Get in jail' line was hilarious though. Her having Warrick in her calls list was upsetting though. Siiigh Griss' 'Maybe he needed her to leave him' was rather intresting too

Me too actually. Does anybody still have our list of closet GC shippers?

ETA - I dunno why I just thought of this but, do you guys not think now would be the perfect time for Griss and Cath to "find" each other? Not that they will or that I'd want TPTB to make them but, y'know, with Warrick dying and Sara leaving they've both gotta be feeling pretty poop. I dunno, just musing again.

 

See that's how I see their relationship. They need to 'find' each other again. Gil and Cath have been friends and partners for so long, I think it's time they 'reconnect'.

A scene at a bar again, or even at a restaurant.
I'm curious about how they are going to do WP's departure. I really hope Cath is the very last person he says goodbye to. NO! EMO scene with Sara, just a hug or a wink to Cath.

 

Ah I forgot there was a Lady Heather ep coming up. I think she would be a closet GC shipper too. A) she reads people and can obviosly see chemistry B) if you look chemistry up in a dictionary, you will see a very steamy picture of Gil and Catherine.

Which leads to my thread title suggestion:
The Definition of Chemistry

I like the idea of Gil and Cath finding each other again, if not as lovers, then as friends. It would be a very smart move on TPTB's part (but when have they ever made any smart moves?). It would show both of them acknowledging the fact that they drifted apart as friends, thereby explaining their vitually non-existant relationship in the past couple of seasons, and it would show that both Gil and Catherine want that old friendship back (and I think it's safe to say that Billy and Marg want that old GC friendship back too). It would bring some kind of closure about their relationship before Gil leaves (hopefully solo).

 

I feel like the last episode ended things with Sara. It didn't seem like...he wanted a relationship with her, not because he was necessarily falling out of love with her but because he couldn't do it anymore? So I'm not sure if we're goin to worry about...her coming back. Unless TPTB decide to ultimately end it so that he goes off with her. Which would be entirely wrong. I would think.

I'm not really sure how they would end things with Cath. I'm guessing it's going to come as a surprise to her as well and it won't be pretty but...I think it's ultimately going to disappoint us in saying "it's up to the imagination of the viewer". It usually ends up that way anyway. I've lost all optimism I have had for this show and this ship but I keep on loving it nonetheless.
