"You Kill Me" Discussion *SPOILERS*

I watched it in the hotel lobby in Ohio (we're visiting the hubby's family for the holiday). I had to cover my mouth not to laugh out loud at the scenes. It was really well done.

I like the idea of Wendy in the field. Mandy was so funny. I like how she had to get back to work to help with Swing's backup. Hodges' view of Brass almost made me pee my pants. I like when he took out the baton to whip Bobby D. I love Bobby D.

I also liked the mention of Sara...gone but not forgotten. The new credits were good too. There were some shots from this season (Grissom in the bee mask).

The Greggo thing bothered me and I wonder if something got edited out.

Last night's show was one to view over and over. I missed some of the lines because I was laughing so hard. It was intricate, but great fun. Let's repeat it soon, please.

I loved it! First off, it was just plain hilarious. Now, let's see... some other points:

- Bobby's Back! I love Bobby D, and I've been missing him. Okay, so the only reason he was there was to play suspect in ever scenario, but who cares.

- Seeing all the labrats die. Okay, that sounds awful, but ya'll know it was funny.

- Seeing Hodges eating Lucky Chips again.

- Neck wound!

- SuperDave and his 'no sign of sexual trauma'

- Nick and Warrick crying over Archie

- Who Dunnit and How?

- I was never a big Sara fan, and I have to say I'm not going to miss her, BUT, it was nice to have that bit of mention of her. I thought it was nicely done. They didn't over do it (Sara this, Sara that etc), but it's nice that they didn't just forget about her.

I'm sure there's more. I just can't think of them at the moment. I'm going to watch it again as soon as I get home this evening.

Oh, and just a few things that "bothered" me"
- What's with Brass always putting his hands on Bobby D's shoulders?
- Who killed Wendy???? We never got to find out.
- Why didn't Mandy get to be a victim? Come on, be fair!
And the one thing that really bothered me: Warrick. Isn't he supposed to... you know... NOT GAMBLE! So why is he going off to a casino by himself, and why is Nicky letting him?

I found the episode delightful. I enjoyed the fact that it returned the focus squarely on forensics and solving crimes with science, and did so with deftly played humor.

What really pissed me off was the "Yea, whatever." that Greg said to Grissom when all Grissom said was goodnight. What the heck caused him to be so darn angsty? I wish that was explained because now Greg looks like an ass and Grissom was as confused as the viewers were.
I thought that stemmed from Greg missing his good friend, Sara, and also not knowing how to talk to Grissom about it, knowing how close he and Sara were. So he just leaves it as a "Yeah, whatever." How people sort of drift off with a throwaway line when they don't know what to say. Greg probably misses Sara every bit as much as Grissom, but doesn't know how to commiserate with Grissom because they don't have that kind of friendship.

Remember, everyone who passed Grissom in the hallway had something to say about Sara . . . except for Greg.

By the way (I haven't read all the way through the thread, so I hope I'm not repeating what someone else has already pointed out), but did anyone notice that we finally got back the extreme close-ups of the various death mechanisms, which have been missing for a while now?

I loved it. Hubby and I cracked up the whole way through the episode. Sometimes when CSI goes light-hearted it doesn't work, but this one did. I liked it better than Lab Rats the episode.

Brass was classic. I love that fact that all he had to do is sit down and Henry confessed.
When Brass was rubbing Bobby's shoulders made me laugh even harder because, to me, that's a very Un-Brass like thing to do.

The Tech's were great!

I loved the idea of them unraveling the crime, the who, what, when, and Yes as Grissom sometimes forgets, the WHY.

Cath's face cracked me up, "OH Trace, is there anything you can't do"
That line had me laughing out loud. And the huge smile on her face as she said it.

SuperDave, "No sign's of Sexual Trauma" on every victim. Classic, just classic.

A few more things stuck out in my mind though

-everyone trying to comfort Gris. He's a very private person and talking about his feelings is hard for him. What I didn't like is how he brushed off both Brass and Catherine. I really didn't hear the whole convo between Gil and Cath but Grissom just kind of side-stepped the issue. I do hope they address in later episodes.
-From what I understand, Sara's mother is in prison for killing her father. Why would Sara be in San Franscisco visiting her mother??? I mean I can see her visiting her in prison, but it's not like she's going to stay there. That is something that stuck out in my mind.

Ok, a few more things on my coffee fueled post.

Wendy and Hodges. I never really saw them as a couple. But, after Lab Rats and they were so antagonistic to each other and then after last night's episode, my thought's were... why don't they just climb on top of each other
As for Wendy,I think there is the next CSI. Ronnie was a very small part, so it makes sense if they have a space open that Wendy could take that spot. Greg came out of the lab so Wendy can too.
I wonder how that will effect the Wendy/Hodges relationship ;)

Yeah. I'm curious how that would affect the Hodges/Wendy "friendship" as well. Good point. AND...I loved Super Dave in this. It cracked me up every time.

I thought it was really good. Everything Fish Shop Chick Chop should have been but failed to be.

Hodges, Grissom, Brass, Doc Robbins - all fantastic, stars of the show. These guys aint't just good actors, but they got comic timing too :D The reast of the lab rats where excellent too.

It was cleverly done, and had some genuing laugh out loud moments. The final scenes with Hodges and Grissom where the highlight for me. More Billy and Wally scenes please TPTB, those two are just great together.

I don't think that it's an episode that needs deep thinking regards reactions from certain characters. Cos it was a stand alone episode, pretty much, bar a few comments, cos of course it would have been odd to say nothing about Sara leaving! But it was done nicely, with that side story woven in. And Grissom's reaction to the fussing was entirely as it should have been and as you'd expect it to be.

All in all, a stormer, and makes up for the weak halloween offering of 'humour', and a good episode to follow on from the rather traumatic one of last week. Sometimes when serious shows do comedy, it doesn't work, but this really did, thanks to a good script and some good performances.

I have to say, I loved this episode. I don't watch the show all that often, but what with my tryptophan induced lethargy last night, I just couldn't get off the sofa, and ended up laughing myself into a deeper coma. The chemistry between Hodges and Wendy was great. I especially loved how disapointed in him she was at the end. Like "why don't you just kiss me already!" Stupid Hodges. Definitely would like to see more from these two. There is clearly something there.

I loved this episode. I missed the first part and i watched it about an hour ago. Superdave....Even in episodes before this, my brother and I would laugh, because he says it about every single victim. He makes me laugh.

The little character asides during the thought experiment were amazing. And Archie Kao has my heart now.

It sucked to see that Sara was gone. That's part of the reason I didn't freak out when I missed part of the episode on Thursday (although I did drive really fast to get home). It was nice to see Grissom cheer up a little when he played the game with Hodges, but for now, I'm gonna be pretty bummed to see the old, sappy, workaholic-without-Sara Grissom.

I think just the fact that Sara was around gave Grissom a little more happiness.

Wow, hilarious episode, lab rats rock !!!
Hodges is awesome, so great leading the ep and, erm, finest CSI playing a board game that was cough 8+ cough...
At first I thought they had killed Archie for real, uff...
So many funny moments, SuperDave, Henry frozen, Bobby, Brass...

This ep was a much needed break from all the drama and whatnot that has been going on since Lab Rats last season when we had the last full hour of laughs.

finest CSI playing a board game that was cough 8+ cough...
yeah, I was thinking about that too. Isn't some of that stuff a bit advanced for an 8 year old? And a bit... 'graphic'?

I agree with the majority here... so nice to have a good laugh after everything has been so serious for so long.
