I's a series called 'The Border'. Sofia plays a Homeland Security special agent. There's a bit more info here:
"THE BORDER is the hot new high action drama, in which I co-star with James McGowan and Graham Abbey as homeland security special agent Bianca La Garda.

From a Cuban father and Italian mother immigrated to the US at age 10 and now a proud American. The show deals in Canadian/US border issue inspired directly from headline stories.

The show is executive produced by Peter Raymont, who just won an Emmy for the documentary SHAKE HANDS WITH THE DEVIL and Brian Dennis, Creative producers David Barlow, Janet McLean and Sarah Dodd.

CBC international who reps the televised series for worldwide distribution. In fact Peter and I are going to MIPCOM in Cannes this week to meet all the international distributors. Very exciting because I am truly proud of this show and the group of people I work with. From the talented cast (Nazneen Contractor, Jonas Chernick, Catherine Disher) to our director John Fawcett and crew.

So I will be filming through dec 12th in Toronto. Which by the way is a beautiful city."

Happy birthday Berylla Nienna :D
You know what?
After almost 3 months I went to the doctor and while I was wating for him I found the interview of Sofia from "Grazia"...the one I transleted to you in H/Y thread :D
OMG...I enjoyed it so much to read it...although I read it three months ago while I was translating it for you :D
Here it is the interview I was talking about :D

SEXY C.S.I
The most beautiful faces from CSI

He (Gary Dourdan) jokes with dead people, she (Sofia Milos) feels half Italian.
Also because of this she says to Muccino : “I’m ready, will you call me?”

Who thought to recognize her, while she was ordering a plate of “lasagne” in a roman restaurant, maybe said it was because of the heat. Because it’s impossible to imagine her…Sofia Milos – Detective Yelina Salas from CSI: Miami – speaking perfectly Italian and eating something right down your house. But it’s true.
« I was born in Switzerland, my mother is Greek and my father was from Potenza (it’s south Italy)» Sofia says, who lives in L.A. although her mother lives in Rome.
Q: «Do you feel Italian? »
A: «I do. Very much. I love the passion of this country, the fashion, the ancient boulevards, I love “la mozzarella” (it’s our typical cheese, the one we use making pizza, it’s from buffalo’s milk). I also love cooking “lasagne”, I think they are a kind of work of art. »
Q: «So, why do you live in Los Angeles? »
A: «Because it gives the same opportunities to the women as to the men. U.S.A are a comfortable country, if you’re talented, you work hard, U.S.A. repay you. In Italy it isn’t the same thing. »
Q: «Are you famous more in Italy or in the U.S.A? »
A:«During the weddings of Giuseppe Pancaro (he’s an Italian soccer player) I was stopped by two fans who tried to explain me, speaking in English, that they hadn’t lost any episode of CSI. When I answered in Italian, they were with their mouths hanging on opened. »
Q:« What do you like about your character ? »
A: « Yelina Salas represents the typical mother without husband, a very extended trend in the U.S.A. A woman able to work and to take care of her child without loosing her femininity. »
Q: « Are you like her? »
A: « I’m independent and I think women can do everything without help in every situation. They can choose a man to live their lives with, but they don’t need a man to be happy. Maybe also to have a child. »
Q: « Do you think you will do everything alone? »
A: « I’ve a boyfriend and I would prefer to have a child with him. I believe in marriage, but during the life there a lot of kinds of family. »
Q: « Where do you think you will grow up your children? »
A: « My boyfriend is Italian and he comes in the U.S.A. every two weeks. We both love Tuscany and we don’t exclude the idea to go there, one day. Our children are going to have 2 passpotrs. »
Q: « Have you got any project? Maybe an Italian movie. »
A: « Now I’m very busy in the U.S.A. There are the new episodes of CSI:Miami and I’m going to participate on a new drama “The border” . I will be a security agents fighting against smuggling, terrorism and immigration. But if they offered me a nice role in Italy……»
Q: «Which director would you like to work with? »
A: «I like Gabriele Salvatores. But also Gabriele Muccino: we first met 8 years ago during my birthday in Capalbio and we joked about the opportunity to make a movie together. Now it could be the right moment. »
Q: « What kind of character would you like to play? »
A: « A strong Italian woman, with Mediterranean humour sense. An independent character. »
Q: «Did you propose it to Muccino? »
A: «I’m doing it now: Gabriele, what do you think about it? »

Just thought it might be time for another pretty Sofia pic!

drgnldy, that is a great picture of Sofia. Thanks for sharing. I have to say, I am missing her not being on the last few episodes. They need to bring her back a lot more. I figured with her job she would be on the show a lot.

Oh gosh :( ….I’ve just read your request….sorry for being so late….I was busy with the university :D

Ok…here’s the translation of the interview you asked me ;)

Red Carpet ;)
SOFIA MILOS
“Me, Miami and my criminal body”

Don’t let you deceive by the fact she’s one of the queens of the “American serial”. Through the veins of this fabulous black haired woman flows tri-colour blood. Because made in Italy is not just top- modelling.

“I like places with an history, for this reason I love Italy.”
She, star of CSI:Miami, just received a phone call which convoked her on set of the first episode from the new season (it means the sixth one ;) for us poor Italian people ).
“Our job is so” she sighs “Never book a vacation. Be sure that one minute after the confirmation someone will call you for a new work.”
Q: A coming back wanted by the people
A: It’s so lovely, it’s true. I noticed that on web site’s forum there were so many posts of fans who wanted me coming back. Nevertheless…what is an actor without his audience?
Q: Such a good pleasure. Especially for an Italian, cause you are Italian, aren’t you?
A: When I arrive to an Italian hotel it’s always the same scene. They talk to me in English and when I answer “grazie” (thanks in English ) they tell me “ ah ma allora lei è italiana” (“oh so you’re Italian!” ). They’re always a little bit surprised.
Q: So the fact there’s just a brain storming in our country is not true. Form here also beautiful women run away.
A: Look, I’m a person who want to do well the tings, and I’m not talking just about my profession as an actress. When I’m busy I am busy with all my spirit. Totally, it’s about staying in the kitchen and preparing something, or being in bed to make love. Without doubts talking about cinema USA are surely more equipped. But as you can notice then they always come back home.
Q: Is it only a budget problem?
A: Surely with more money people work better and you can work with the best in term of technologies and human resources. But the most important thing is that in the USA you always a have a sensation that there’s a solid base which supports you.
Q: Returning on CSI:Miami have you got any spoiler? It seemed there was a liason (a sort of relationship) between Yelina and Lt. Horatio Cane.
A: You don’t know how many debates there were about the different opinions regarding our glances in one episode!!! I’ve just read the scripts for the sixth season and I have to say there will be a very big scoop….but not a romantic one.
Q: Since when do you work for the American TV?
A: I think I established the record for an Italian actress. It’s 14 years. Since my debut in “Cafè American” till my return on “CSI:Miami” I’ve shot 197 episodes. And soon I’ll go to Canada for a new TV series named “Border”
Q: Your fiancé is Italian. There’s something good remembering Madonna (the singer), isn’t it?
A: I only had a relationship with an American man.
Q: And how was it?
A: It lasted 5 dinners….and one Taco Bell (fast food tex-mex restaurants…probably I’ve heard about it  I don’t know ;) )
Q: Explain it us better…
A: It’s the last thing he told me.
Literally…”you like having dinner in restaurants…I like Taco Bell”.
Q: And what did you answer to him?
A: That I’m not an hamburger-girl. *SM starts laughing loudly* . About this I remained Italian 100%. I like things made good also in love. To eat well you need the right tablecloth and the right knife, spoon and fork.
Q: And your actual fiancé Alessandro Martorana. How did it begin?
A: I met him during a party in L.A. He offered to make me a dress and he auto invited himself at my home to take my measures. As I’m naïve I didn’t understand immediately his intentions. Well it took him three months, but he flirted with me in a very romantically way…and at the end he really took my measures.
Q: You look happy.
A: I have to say it’s almost all because of him. We’ve just been by his parents in Sicily. I’ve never ate so much as during this vacation.
Q: Do you like living in L. A. ?
A: The good thing of L.A. is that when wake up and you have some things to do…well you’d be pretty sure you’ll do all of them. I remember when I was in Rome they used to tell me…”get inside the car and then decide which is the most important thing you want to do” because it was impossible to do the other things.
Q: One thing you absolutely have to do in L.A.
A: Walk along the beach of St. Monica in Venice. Or go with the cabriolet to The Napa Valley to taste California’s wines.
Q: What is luxury for you?
A: It’s to dedicate my soul and my body to the thing I’m doing in that moment whatever I’ doing such as…being with a friend, being with my fiancé, having a shower or cooking eggs. Luxury is taking all the time it need to be done.
Q: And don’t use the blackberry while you’re in on vacation.
A: Except it’s a call from Miami *SM laughs*
Yep Miami, we forgot it, there’s a flight for Sofia and a new case for detective Yelina Salas.
