Yoohoo. . . Florry. . . there's another Italian article on Sofia's website in case you feel like another translation exercise!
Oh gosh
….I’ve just read your request….sorry for being so late….I was busy with the university
Ok…here’s the translation of the interview you asked me
Red Carpet
SOFIA MILOS
“Me, Miami and my criminal body”
Don’t let you deceive by the fact she’s one of the queens of the “American serial”. Through the veins of this fabulous black haired woman flows tri-colour blood. Because made in Italy is not just top- modelling.
“I like places with an history, for this reason I love Italy.”
She, star of CSI:Miami, just received a phone call which convoked her on set of the first episode from the new season (it means the sixth one
for us poor Italian people ).
“Our job is so” she sighs “Never book a vacation. Be sure that one minute after the confirmation someone will call you for a new work.”
Q: A coming back wanted by the people
A: It’s so lovely, it’s true. I noticed that on web site’s forum there were so many posts of fans who wanted me coming back. Nevertheless…what is an actor without his audience?
Q: Such a good pleasure. Especially for an Italian, cause you are Italian, aren’t you?
A: When I arrive to an Italian hotel it’s always the same scene. They talk to me in English and when I answer “grazie” (thanks in English ) they tell me “ ah ma allora lei è italiana” (“oh so you’re Italian!” ). They’re always a little bit surprised.
Q: So the fact there’s just a brain storming in our country is not true. Form here also beautiful women run away.
A: Look, I’m a person who want to do well the tings, and I’m not talking just about my profession as an actress. When I’m busy I am busy with all my spirit. Totally, it’s about staying in the kitchen and preparing something, or being in bed to make love. Without doubts talking about cinema USA are surely more equipped. But as you can notice then they always come back home.
Q: Is it only a budget problem?
A: Surely with more money people work better and you can work with the best in term of technologies and human resources. But the most important thing is that in the USA you always a have a sensation that there’s a solid base which supports you.
Q: Returning on CSI:Miami have you got any spoiler? It seemed there was a liason (a sort of relationship) between Yelina and Lt. Horatio Cane.
A: You don’t know how many debates there were about the different opinions regarding our glances in one episode!!! I’ve just read the scripts for the sixth season and I have to say there will be a very big scoop….but not a romantic one.
Q: Since when do you work for the American TV?
A: I think I established the record for an Italian actress. It’s 14 years. Since my debut in “Cafè American” till my return on “CSI:Miami” I’ve shot 197 episodes. And soon I’ll go to Canada for a new TV series named “Border”
Q: Your fiancé is Italian. There’s something good remembering Madonna (the singer), isn’t it?
A: I only had a relationship with an American man.
Q: And how was it?
A: It lasted 5 dinners….and one Taco Bell (fast food tex-mex restaurants…probably I’ve heard about it
I don’t know
)
Q: Explain it us better…
A: It’s the last thing he told me.
Literally…”you like having dinner in restaurants…I like Taco Bell”.
Q: And what did you answer to him?
A: That I’m not an hamburger-girl. *SM starts laughing loudly* . About this I remained Italian 100%. I like things made good also in love. To eat well you need the right tablecloth and the right knife, spoon and fork.
Q: And your actual fiancé Alessandro Martorana. How did it begin?
A: I met him during a party in L.A. He offered to make me a dress and he auto invited himself at my home to take my measures. As I’m naïve I didn’t understand immediately his intentions. Well it took him three months, but he flirted with me in a very romantically way…and at the end he really took my measures.
Q: You look happy.
A: I have to say it’s almost all because of him. We’ve just been by his parents in Sicily. I’ve never ate so much as during this vacation.
Q: Do you like living in L. A. ?
A: The good thing of L.A. is that when wake up and you have some things to do…well you’d be pretty sure you’ll do all of them. I remember when I was in Rome they used to tell me…”get inside the car and then decide which is the most important thing you want to do” because it was impossible to do the other things.
Q: One thing you absolutely have to do in L.A.
A: Walk along the beach of St. Monica in Venice. Or go with the cabriolet to The Napa Valley to taste California’s wines.
Q: What is luxury for you?
A: It’s to dedicate my soul and my body to the thing I’m doing in that moment whatever I’ doing such as…being with a friend, being with my fiancé, having a shower or cooking eggs. Luxury is taking all the time it need to be done.
Q: And don’t use the blackberry while you’re in on vacation.
A: Except it’s a call from Miami *SM laughs*
Yep Miami, we forgot it, there’s a flight for Sofia and a new case for detective Yelina Salas.
And here is a sort of identikit of Sofia Milos this magazine made
