Yelina Salas #2: 'Get Back To Where You Once Belonged'

Wow, this thread has come a long way. Kudos to you guys for keeping it up and running.

I feel for you snickergeek, it does suck that it'll be awhile before you get to see it. Still, as you said the pics help a lot and then there's always the option of DVDs later.
 
Apologizes if this has been posted before but in the September 11 issue of Star magazine there is a photo of Sofia at the Emmy's which a brief description of her dress. She is in the "Take the Plunge" section which is on page 5 of the magazine. All I gotta say is that she looks good for a 40 year old! Hopefully somebody with a scanner can post the photo for everyone...
 
What is it about the women of CSI. First Calleigh, then Sarah and now Yelina are making me doubt my homosexuality!! I have to think of Ryan to make sure these women are not changing me lol!

Seriously, Yelina is a very attractive lady and I really do desperately hope that Sophia signs on for the entire series. I think that the writers really under-realised that so many people loved Yelina. I do think she was hard done by- as the writers seemingly loved Calleigh more.

Yelina really rocks the show and I bet... the quotes will be even better for Rio than they were for Grave Grave Danger ...

Did they ever say anything about Yelina's past and her father? I haven't seen too many episodes and still am saving for the DVDs. Would be interesting to know.
 
No worries. :)

We know very little about Yelina's past. To my knowledge, her father hasn't been mentioned. Her mother is mentioned quite alot as she looks after Ray Jnr after school when Yelina is working.

You're welcome. Also, when Yelina went away with Rick in 'Hell Night', Ray Jnr stayed with her mom. We've never seen her, but I would like to. There is alot of potential for involving Yelina more if the writers decided to go down that route.

I'm hoping that they might be planning more for her. At the moment, it's difficult to imagine what might happen as Sofia is involved in another show. If schedule permits, I wonder if we will see more of her later on in S5. Here's to hoping. ;)
 
Yes! I loved hearing her speak Spanish. That scene is wonderful. That's the kind of angst I like! ;)
 
I actually caught it last night on MyNetworkTV. It's a lot like a soap opera (think along the lines of Desperate Housewives mixed in with The OC) and she really is great in it. Her character is really cunning and really has it out for everyone. She was only in a few scenes in the episode I got to see but still she operated on high caliber, as always. :)

One thing I loved about the show is the theme song. It really is lovely. Just about the whole song plays while it's coming on:
