i love the pic and sorry if i dint had too say so much in here, im not myself right now so its very difficult to think of the nice things, so i onely read around here until im feeling better and know something to tell.
 
i just got s3 and watched that epi where H told her about maddi and she was rays daughter. the way yelina reacted like the world that had broken apart beneath her feet... it was amazing. just amazing. yelina is just such an awesome character... i can't wait for the next season.
 
I've been reading this thread for a long time now, and sorry, but I just can't resist joining in...even if it's just to babble...When H told Y about Maddy, I guess for Yelina, the world did really break apart beneath her feet, at least the world she "saw". She knew that Ray was on drugs, and sometimes unfaithfull, but she didn't know that he had a daughter. It's hard to accept this when someone is alive, and therefore, you have someone to blame, but I guess it's even harder when this person is dead, because you only want to remember the good things, and learning this king of think "post mortem" just makes you think " DId I really know the guy, is what I can remember of him real, or is it just an illusion"...Mmmm I'm getting into psycology, so I'll stop now before it's too late... :rolleyes:
 
*sigh* This is the stuff fics are made of. And unfortunately, good drama comes from it too. The writers just don't know when to draw the line. :rolleyes:

I can't wait for Yelina to be back. It's been far too long, but mostly because I miss her character. She was strong, and knew how to handle Stetler. :devil: What a great lady huh?
 
I agree. she's a great, strong woman.
I also like the way how she handeld Stelter and I'm sure that she had a 'discussion' with Ray about Madison and Suzie. I don't think that she forgave him easily.
 
Just like I said in the HY thread Yelina believed someone Raymond would use his brain when he betrayed her and learning he didn't just broke her through because she didn't know what else he could have done. I started a POV of hers about that all and will show you guys as soon as I'm finished. I mean that woman believed her husband loved her and he did... but that's another thing... and she loves him.
Forgiving someone who betrayed you requests trust and stuff.

I bet even if Rick wouldn't have hurt her she would have kicked him out of her life after 3.22 because that's where she found out Ray was possibly still alive.

However, I know soooo many people who hate Yelina for what she was thinking, for believing her husband was faithful in some way and that's what makes her unique, because she was the only one who really saw the good side of Raymond not just what people were seeing. That's why I bet she believed Madison was Horatio's daughter. Just apart the fact Maddi looks just like H.

I don't have the feeling that people hate her.

of course she thought that her husband could never do something illegal and wrong or that he would cheat. She loved him after all (and maybe still does). I also think that she only knows half the truth.
I hope the writers will mention something about the current relationship between Yelina and Ray.

I agree. For me, we only have to look at the scene in 'Big Brother' where Yelina is explaining to H that Ray would stay away for 'weeks and weeks' when he was doing narcotics. I have always had the impression that her marriage to Raymond was at times very difficult. I even wonder if Ray ever got violent and that's why he stayed away. He didn't trust himself around his wife and son. I am almost certain that if this was the case, Horatio didn't know. He tended to put his brother on a pedestal before finding out that he was a dirty cop and unfaithful husband.

And I think it's the reason why Yelina was a little reluctant to go see Raymond when he was standing in the plane. (10-7)

And aside from that, it can get pretty overwhelming when someone you thought was dead for three years shows up on a jet, but because of Raymond's actions, his family suffered and Yelina was probably not exactly happy about that. I believe she forgave him, but it probably took a long time.

I'm looking forward to hearing her thoughts in season five, and hopefully what happened after they left will be explained. Us Miami fans have been waiting a year so season five should be interesting in that respect.

That is said so beautifully... I can really imagine that.

I guess Yelina just didn't know where to go with her feelings. Torwards Horatio where there definately was a past and Raymond that guy she married because she loved. So Yelina will really have a pretty emotional time. Looking forward to it.

I agree, she looks absolutely stunning. :) Thank you so much for the picture.

I'm looking forward to her return to the show, and hopefully she'll sign on for more than a few episodes. The show will really benefit from her high caliber acting, as well as her strong presence among the cast. :D

I am now very excited about Season 5. Please writers, do not let us down with your handling of all this. If the promo pics are anything to go by, it looks amazing. :D
 
*bows down to Ann D.* She's sure made us quite happy so far, so hopefully the season won't go too terribly bad - but if those promo pics are any indication, everything is looking superb!

It's really great to see Yelina again. *sigh* It seems like yesterday she was getting on that plane, and now she's landed back in our tv sets. :D
