ahh another one has fallen for Mr Petersen, that's it now, her life will never be the same
You know, with CSI, I have decided I am the point where I don't actually mind now if Billy leaves, and in a way, I actually would like him to leave.
Let me explain myself
Basically, he seems to get himself written into as few scenes as he can these days in a lot of the shows (the latest one being a prime example). Now, I don't blame him, and we know why he originally has to cut down his work load. But as much as I love CSI, the initial wonderment of the show isn't there now, because it simply isn't new, it happens to all the good shows! So my main focus with CSI is Billy, and quite simply, it's Gil Grissom that is the most unique character in the show, and the character that has made the show what it is over the years. Now, if Billy wasn't in it, I wouldn't really bother with it these days. Apart from Brass, I have no attachment to any one else.
So when I watch these days, I do enjoy it still, but I do find myself being more annoyed cos Billy is only in about 4 scenes or whatever! I kinda wonder if his heart is in the show as much as it used to be, and whether he's doing it out of obligation. And the fact is, I'll still watch it while he's in it, even if it is only a few minutes an episode. I suspect the makers of CSI realise that!
So that is why I wouldn't mind if he left. I'd love to see him do some stage plays, maybe a couple movies. Just something different again.
