Grissom has already demonstrated in numerous ways that he is an incredibly intense individual who has learned over the years to channel that intensity into "safe" waters. Occasionally it peeks through, like his rage when he finds the Anderson baby. But if you watch him closely, he never looks relaxed - it takes an enormous amount of energy to maintain the wall between him and the world. The damage that energy could do if it were not contained would be total, so although he may peek over and around it from time to time, any serious threat to the wall (aka Sara and his feelings for her) just makes him add more bricks to it.I think one of the reasons why he's scared to have relationship with Sara is because he fears he might turn to be like Dr. Lurie if Sara ever leaves him. *shudders*
But I still believe in GSR, incurable optimist/romantic that I am.......
