Ok here's a new EDeN fanfic!!! Hope yall enjoy!!! :)

Chapter 1

Natalia sat crying in her bathroom as she looked at her bruises on her arm.
She slowly ran her hands up and down her arms wincing as she touched her bruises. All she wanted to do was get away. Get away from it all. The next thing she knew, Nick was opening up the door and coming towards her. He grabbed her and yanked her up off the ground.

“Nick, ouch, stop.” Natalia yelled as she tried pulling away from him.

“You’re coming with me.” Nick said as he pulled her over to the bed slamming her down on it.

A few hours later Natalia awoke to finding herself in a warm bed with blankets covering her body and being fully clothed. She heard a beeping noise off to the side of her and a breathing machine. As she looked around herself, she noticed she was in a hospital. As she moved, she felt instant pain and stopped. Her door opened to reveal a red headed man.

“Miss Boa Vista, how are you feeling?”

“Not so good.” Natalia said letting out a chuckle.

“Ok well, this won’t take long so if you don’t mind I would like to ask you some questions regarding everything that happened.” The red headed man said as he came to the side of her bed and sat in a chair.

“Ok.” Natalia said as the man started asking her questions.

“Ok and one last thing….”

“Ok….”

“Can we swab you for some DNA testing?”

“Um yea sure.” Natalia said as the man motioned for another man to come in.

Natalia stomach did flips when the man walked in. He was tall, dark skinned and built. He was gorgeous.

When Eric walked in, he smiled as he saw Natalia in the bed. She was dark and very tiny. She had the biggest brown eyes he had ever seen. She was beautiful. He didn’t know how someone could do something like this to someone that looked like her.

Horatio walked out of the room so that way Eric would have plenty of room to take the tests. Eric walked over and took her hand in his and slowly ran the cotton swab over her fingers. As Eric swabbed a womb Natalia jumped at the sudden pain she felt.

“I’m sorry.” Eric said immediately removing the swab looking up at her.

“It’s ok. I’m used to it by now.” Natalia said letting out a chuckle looking at him.

“I’m Eric by that way.” Eric said as he put the swabs into a container.

“Natalia.” Natalia said smiling at him.

“Well, it was nice to meet you Natalia.” Eric said smiling at her as he stood up to leave.

“You too Eric.”

Chapter 2

As the weeks passed Natalia got better and left the hospital. She needed a job as she moved out of the house. She went to MDPD to apply for a DNA specialist since she majored in all that in college.

“Hi, I’m here to apply for the position of a DNA specialist.” Natalia said walking up to the front desk.

“Ok, I’m gonna have you fill out these pieces of paper and then I will get someone to help you.”

“Ok thank you.” Natalia said as she took the papers on the clipboard and started to fill them out.

After she filled them out she took them back up and went and sat back down. After awhile Horatio came and greeted her and gave her the tour of the crime lab. He offered her the position and she was to start the next day.

The next day….

Natalia walked into the lab and headed straight to the break room to put up her stuff.
She had on white pants with a white spaghetti strap shirt and a white jacket over it with white high heeled shoes on and her hair was curly. She walked into the break room to find Eric and Ryan shooting paper balls into the trash can. Every time making it they would do the big ole “Yea!” with a fist pump. They immediately stopped when she walked in.

“No, go ahead keep playing. Don’t let me stop you.” Natalia said smiling at them both.

“Oh no, it’s fine we gotta get ready to go to work.”

“Oh ok.” Natalia said walking past them.

“I’ll see you later Eric.” Ryan said patting him on the back.

“Alright, I’m up by 2 don’t forget.” Eric called after him.

“I won’t trust me.” Ryan said closing the door as he left.

Eric stood at his locker as did Natalia. There was an awkward silence that was bugging both of them to death.

“So, how are you?” Eric said turning around to face Natalia.

“I’m good. How bout you?” Natalia said turning around.

“I’m pretty good.” Eric said staring at her.

“Is everything ok?” Natalia said looking at him.

“Yea, it’s just, you look different when you’re not in a hospital bed with iv’s in your arm and bruises up and down your body.”

“Yea, well, everythings still there, it’s just covered, and is that a good thing or a bad thing?”

“Its a good thing cause I can’t tell that they’re there.” Eric said as Natalia felt the heat rising to her cheeks.

“Well, that’s good, I guess.”

“So are you the new addition to the DNA lab?” Eric said as they walked out together.

“I would say something like that.” Natalia said looking up at him and smiling.

“Haha, good. We needed a new one.”

“Why is that?”

“Cause the other one was rude and stuff. I didn’t like her.”

“Oh so you already like me, and we just met?”

“You’re different than the other girl.”

“Oh ok.” Natalia said as they reached the DNA lab.

“I guess I’ll see you later on.”

“Ok.”
 
I love the image of Ryan and Eric shooting paper balls into the waste basket. :guffaw: Boys will be boys even when they're men. :lol:

Chapter 3

Later on, Natalia was walking through the hall. Eric and Ryan were playing there game again. Eric stopped when he saw her turn the corner.

“Eric, dude, it’s your turn.” Ryan said looking at him wondering why he wasn’t shooting.

“Um, how bout we pick this up later.” Eric said still looking away from him.

“Wh…Oh, I see. You like the new girl.” Ryan said playfully punching his arm.

“What? No I don’t.”

“Eric. I’ve known you for how long? I know when you like someone, maybe even love them.”

“Dude, I don’t…..” Eric said as he stopped as he heard Natalia start talking.

“You don’t what?” Natalia said placing her hands on her hips.

“Nothing.” Eric said chuckling while Ryan rested his chin against his hand watching them.

“Listen I gotta get to the morgue to see what Alexx has for us. I’ll see you two later.” Ryan said walking away knowing what was going on.

“Ok.” Natalia and Eric said at the same time.

“Well, I better get back to DNA.” Natalia said as she turned on her heels to walkaway.

“Hey Nat…” Eric said grabbing her arm.

“Yea?” Natalia said turning around to face him.

“I’m gonna go get something to eat would you like to come?”

“Um, sure. I’m starving.” Natalia said smiling.

“Ok. I hope pizza is ok.”

“Anything is fine right about now.” Natalia said placing her hand on her stomach and laughing.

At her laugh Eric felt his knees go weak. He had never fell for someone so hard before until now. He laughed with her to make sure he wasn’t making her feel awkward to be around him.

At the restaurant…..

“So if you don’t mind me asking, what did you ex husband actually do to you?” Eric said as he ate some pizza.

Natalia cringed at the thought of him.

“It’s ok if you don’t wanna talk about it.”

“No it’s fine. I need to talk about.”

“Ok. Well I’m all ears.” Eric said smiling at her. Natalia smiled back.

“Well, he did everything that a man that abuses their woman would usually do. Everything you can think of, it happened to me. From getting the hand slaps across the face, to black eyes, to bruises up and down my body, to…..” Natalia said as she trailed off.

“To what?”

Natalia took in a deep breath and continued.

“To him raping me. It was hell. I wished over and over that it was a bad dream and that I would wake up from it one day.”

“Well you’re away from him now…”

“Not completely. He still can find out where I work, live….”

“Well, I’ll make sure it doesn’t happen.”

“Its ok Eric.”

“No, its not. You don’t deserve that.”

“I know but you don’t deserve to be brought into all this either.”

“Well, I have been so there’s no turning back now.”

Natalia let out a sigh and they continued their lunch in quietness.

Chapter 4

As the weeks went on Natalia and Eric had gotten closer. A lot closer.

“Eric just go ask her out already.” Ryan said looking at Eric who was staring at Natalia.

“I can’t. What if she rejects me? I mean she’s beautiful. She might be to good for me.”

“Eric you won’t know until you ask her.”

“I can’t. Not yet.”

"Oh my, you're gonna wait until she finds someone else and then you'll wish you had taken my advice."

"Ryan every time I've listened to you something has gone wrong."

"Name one time..."

"Gloria."

"What about her?"

"I took your advice on dating her and she was not my type. But you swore she was."

"Ok that was my wrong. I should not have done that but..."

"Then there's our game, you tell me to do this and I'll make it in every time."

"Hey, you listened. I was trying to win."

"Yea, I finally saw that, so I stopped."

"Ok fine. Don't listen to me. But I think I'm pretty sure about this one."

"Ok. Well I'll let you know when I find out."

"Ok."

3 days later……

It was just like any other day at the lab people watching Natalia and Eric and asking them if they were dating cause they're always with each other.

"And here it comes." Eric thought to himself as he rolled his eyes.

"No, we're just like brother and sister." Natalia said as she chuckled.

"I can't take it anymore. It's time to do something about this once and for all!" Eric said to himself.

It started out that way I guess, it was comfortable, and helped keep temptations at bay. Eric wondered if that's maybe why Natalia started to refer to their friendship like that of brother and sister. Seeing as how they would be in such close quarters for years.

After they got off work……

While standing there, waiting for the elevator, he made up his mind.

"This is it. No time like the present." Eric said to himself.

So, when the elevator opened and Natalia stepped in, Eric put his hand up to Ryan, and laid it on his shoulder.

"Ryan, I need to talk to Nat. Could you take the next elevator?"

Ryan obliged, but then realized....that was the only elevator. So he took to the steps down to the garage.

"Why did you do that?" Natalia said pointing to the elevator door.

"I need to talk to you about something." Eric said.

"Ok." Natalia said as she turned to him and crossing her arms across her chest.

But instead of talking to her, he leaned down and kissed her, while pulling her towards him. He felt her return his kiss, opening her lips as she did. He took the invitation and pushed his tongue into her mouth, it was a long awaited moment for both of them. While their tongues danced the elevator ding announced their arrival and they both pulled away from their kiss. Still breathing heavily, Eric reached over and held the door close button.

"I'm not your brother Natalia." He said as he let go of the button and the door opened.

Never again did she use the line "like brother and sister".

Chapter 5

The next day at work, Ryan noticed a difference in Natalia as he saw her and Eric exit the elevator, she was quiet! Natalia is never quiet.

"What did you do to Natalia? I've never seen her so quiet. Is she ok?" Ryan asked Eric as they walked into the lab.

"What do you mean?! I woudn't do anything to Natalia. You know how much I adore her."

"Well, I...I know it's just that when you were in the elevator..."

"Ryan! For crying out loud! I just.. needed to talk to her, OK." Eric said as they signed in.

Later on in the break room……

Natalia didn't know what to make of Eric, he said he isn't her brother...duh...but does that mean he wants to be together? They had not a moment alone since the kiss, and now Eric is hardly looking at her.

Things went back to normal...or the way they had been before that kiss, although they both thought about it all the time, they didn't discuss it.

4 days later....

"1 week!! We have 1 whole week off!" Natalia said.

"What are you all going to do?"

"I'm going to check out the places where they have horses and see if I can ride one!" Calleigh said.

"Who's going to join me?"

"I will!" Alexx and Valera said at the same time.

"I'll probably clean my apartment." Ryan said.

"Really Ryan?" Valera said as she laughed.

"What?" Ryan said as he gave her a look.

Eric decided that he would catch up on some sleep. Natalia decided to do the same.

Later that night……..

A knock on the door of Eric's door surprised him.

"Hey Nat, what's up?"

"I just thought that we could have dinner together, I ordered a pizza!" Natalia said shaking the box.

"Cool, I'm hungry." Eric said letting her in.

They went into his living room and sat down on his couch and started eating. As they sat there eating and watching a movie Natalia worked on her nerve to bring up the kiss.

"Eric ,...about...that kiss....." Natalia said putting down her pizza and looking at him.

Eric, surprised by her for the second time tonight, turned to see a blushing Natalia. She sat with her hands in her lap nervously rubbing them together.

"Yea...what about it"? He wasn't about to make it easy for her.

"You tell me about it" She said as she pushed him, like a little girl on the playground.

"What can I say Natalia. I thought if I heard you refer to us as brother and sister one more time I would lose it. And it worked didn't it? You haven't used that excuse since.”

"What do you mean excuse!?" She defended.

"You started to tell everyone, and even yourself, that we were like brother and sister so you could deny your true feelings."

"WHAT! I did not! Boy, talk about conceited. I.. I just didn't want you to get any ideas. I mean just because you and I are always together and stuff..."

"Now who's being conceited"? He interupted with a giggle. She pushed him again and he grabbed her and started to tickle her.


"Eriiiiic Stttopp it!"

By that time he was almost on top of her and she wasn't laughing anymore.

"Eric?"

"Shhhh...." He said as his hand went up to her cheek and around the back of her neck pulling her closer.

"You are so beautiful…." He said as his lips lightly touched hers. A sigh escaped her throat as their kiss deepened with all that they had been holding in.

"I've been wanting to do that for so long, you know."

"Then what took you so long, Eric?"

"Well, I didn't want things to get weird, if you rejected me. It could make the rest of our lives...difficult."

"Now what do we do? I mean...where do we go from here?" Natalia asked.

"I like you, Nat, and I'd like to just let things happen."

"That sounds like a plan." Natalia said as she took the lead in the next kiss.

They kissed, or made out like that for a while. Their hands explored each others body. Eric placed his hands under her shirt and started lifting it slowly. Natalia separated the kiss.
