What's one thing you wish hadn't happened in CSI?

In CSI Miami, I wish that Ryan hadn't got sacked and in CSI:Crime Scene Investigation, Iwish that Warrick hadn't got shot! Miss you Ryan and Warrick!

Ryan was reinstated so he's back.

I really dislike when a story is used to showcase a romance. The plot and lines of the story seemed to be "molded" to fit the romance.

Yeah, I know, he don't look so good without them on.

CSI: NY
I wish Aiden hadn't left. She brought more New York into the show. Lindsay is just, emotionless while Aiden had a lot of passion for her work.

CSI: Miami
I wish Alexx hadn't left. She was the one who got me into Miami. I always smiled when she was doing an autopsy because she was talking to the corpses like a mother.

CSI: Las Vegas
Grissom brought amusement to the show. Wish he hadn't left.

All CSI shows-
They did too many CSI-in-peril storylines - the first few were good, but after Grave Danger, EVERYTHING seemed to be about CSIs (or Brass) getting in life-threatening situations.

I definitely agree with this, all 3 show to start with only had the csi's in danger rarely, and it was more intense then. Now it happens all the time and you know they will be perfectly fine the following episode (perfect example: Delko) Its a case of overkill.

Vegas-
i wish the miniature crime scene killer didnt turn out to be so lame :( "zomg! people who use bleach must die!!!" it was such a good, unique storyline and then it just lost its momentum. i expected more from that.

That was true. It was built up so well. The storyline was so different, I was disappointed when the whole bleach thing came up.

Miami-
It will have to be the way they killed off Speedle. Ok, they wanted to kill him off, but they could have made him the hero. The whole gun cleaning things was dealt with the previous season, it just didn't fit

Without sounding like I'm bashing the other shows (because I kind of like New York), I wish TPTB hadn't split the writers up so much when the new shoes were formed. You could see the big change in the CSI Vegas in season three.

Now I'm not blaming the shows themselves, but if it were up to me I wouldn't have split up the writers as much.

^I am definitely in agreement. We were just talking (I think on the spoiler thread) about this great writer with a strong background in forensics who used to write some of the most interesting episodes for CSI, especially in terms of cases. We were talking about how we wish she was still there, but now, alack, she's on Miami. I know that I'm biased, as I don't really watch either of the spin-offs, but I'd rather have one top-quality show with the best possible writers than three with the best writers split up.

I know there was an interview with Jorja Fox where she expressed how she wasn't all that happy with the change over. It was hard on the cast.

I just miss some of those writers, but I do like some of the newer ones, especially Allan McDonald, he's awesome.

But yeah some of the old ones were good and I don't have a problem with the spinoffs, but I think they could have hired newer writers.

The advent of SuperH.
Alexx leaving, but at least they didn't kill her off.
Dan Cooper becoming all vengeful.

I wish CSI:NY hadn't just destroyed the character of Danny Messer by rewriting his entire back story with one sentence in a sub plot that only lasted for one episode.

I have been watching for 5 years now. It bugs me the fact that two of my fav characters are being written completely OOC this WHOLE S5.

Stella and Mac never had this behaviour before and now i am watching how they are morphing into two strangers for each other. They have been closer than anybody else but now in one episode they are close, the next one they are apart and most of the times we have a catfight in the middle

C'mon is there is UST fix it! you know how to do that! But please we want that beautiful ying-yan relationship!

Debbs

CSI Vegas:

I really hated that they killed Warrick. I mean I understand the reasoning behind it, but still, I wish it had been different.

The Miniature Killer. The build up was great, but the reveal as to why was kind of diappointing. I mean, as someone pointed out, what was she going to do? Kill the whole world because they clean with bleach?

CSI Miami:

Super H. That really bugged me. Oh and the whole Julia thing. I am not a fan of that whole storyline at all.

Killing off Speed. The whole reason for it seemed to just be thrown in there at the last minute, and kind of a let down. I mean, I thought they had dealt with his not cleaning his gun before that? And why, if it had jammed, did he stand there like that, during a shoot out! *sigh*

Alexx leaving. I'm glad she didn't get killed off, but I sort of wish she had stayed. I don't know if I like the new ME yet or not. She hasn't had enough screen time for me to decide yet.

CSI New York:

Where to start here? How about the writers? I really am saddened that they seem to either have forgotten or disregarded their characters' entire backstories. It almost seems like they've lost their way somehow. Or they don't talk to each other when writing episodes.

And also how the writers have totally destroyed (or almost) the character of Danny Messer. I loved Danny in the beginning. Now he just seems to be just kind of 'there'. Ever since they took his glasses away. Someone please give them back!

Then there's Danny and Lindsay. :shifty: :scream: I so do not like them together. The whole thing is just a total mess. First they sleep together, then it seems like they aren't together at all, acting very uncomfortable around each other, walking away after fighting, just not together at all it seemed. Then all the sudden she's pregnant and they start being all lovey dovey. :wtf: I don't understand TPTB's logic with this at all.

New York has always been my favorite of the three CSIs but this season, and parts of last, they seem to have lost their way like I said. I wish it would go back to how it was in Season 1 and maybe even Season 2. Without Lindsay though. I could do without her thanks.

I wish they would finish off story-lines better. There have been many episodes that just leave the viewer hanging and we never find out what happened.

On NY, I wish they hadn't lost that gritty feel they had in s1, and even in s2. That was what marked NY out as distinct from the others. I loved how such a diversity of people were the victims and perpertrators of crimes in the earlier seasons. Now they've lost that. I do like the lightening up of the characters - Mac especially, that's good development, and the new lab is cool, but they could have done all that and still kept a diverse range of victims. Now it's primarily wealthy, white folks killing one another, which just isn't New York.
Also, for a show that used to be by far the best of the 3 in character development and adding real depth to their characters, NY has been writing them a little OOC lately, Mac, Stella and Danny in particular. I love that Flack, Hawkes and Adam have really had a chance to shine this season, but that shouldn't come at the expense of the development of Mac, Stella and Danny.
I don't mind the thing about Danny coming from a line of cops, after all he could come from a family that had both cops and 'connected' guys in it, a sort of We Own the Night type situation. Hell, maybe some of the cops were crooked. But him abandoning his team just isn't Danny.
I love the sound of the Greek guy storyline with Stella, it's good to see her doing something that's risky, that shows some of her flaws. But lying to Mac is not one of Stella's flaws. Stella's never lied to Mac, or anyone else on her team. She's covered for Lindsay, but that's different. Lying to Mac is just not something Stella would do.

Oh, and I wish they'd make their minds up with Mac and either leave him single or give him a proper new love interest rather than chucking random women at him like Jordan and Gillian that don't develop into anything.

The whole D/L thing in s4 was a mistake too IMO. The characters should have been allowed to go their own way.

1. Super H. Though I do get a bit of a kick out of him.

2. Julia Winston. She was interesting for about 12 minutes. Now she can go away.

3. Whatever the heck it is they do to make Natalia's skin look orange and bathed in bronzer. I don't know if it's the lights, the makeup, or if Eva hits the beach/tanning bed/self-tanner too much, but it looks WEIRD.

4. High Def for any scene involving Horatio. Nobody wants to see that. Trust me.

5. Sara Sidle. Ever. I'm sorry, but I never liked her as a character from the beginning.

6. GSR. It made me feel a little icky. Though I respect those who disagree.

7. Plots pulled out of places the sun don't shine. I don't expect a lot of realism from CSI:Miami, but is it SO hard to come up with a semi-plausible story?

8. The destruction of Ryan's character. If they're going to continue with this, they should just fire him and put us ALL out of our misery. If they want to keep him, however, they should stop throwing him to the wolves, pardon the pun.

Am I the only one who didn't mind the pornstache? I mean, I didn't like it, per se...but he's still smokin hot, stache or no stache. The super buzz cut annoyed me more and it lasted longer too! It's not just him, I hate it when hubby does that. Give me hair, plz.

I wish GSR had not been attempted and just left in subtext. I enjoyed it (as much as I was ever going to, considering how lukewarm my feelings for Sara are) when it was a possibility or a secret, when it came out it was rather anti climactic. They didn't need to make a big deal out of it, but the way they handled it left me cold.

I wish the Nick/Greg scenes had not been cut. They are still my favorite thing about the early seasons, whether you ship them or not you have to admit they were fun and played off each other well. But then boom, Greg was in the field, pretty much being trained by Sara, who I don't really like, and there's this little flirtation going on that never convinced me (okay, I guess nothing about Sara has ever convinced me...) and there's practically no interaction between Nick and Greg. Such a shame, cause they had some of the best scenes early on, and I would have loved to see that friendship (or whatever. :shifty:) grow onscreen.

I wish they had been consistent with the recurring characters. Sofia is a good example of this, she was in the credits and then gone, with no explanation at all? WTF, PTB? Where did she go and why? She's not the only character I miss like that, it's happened too much. It's like they don't really put any care or effort into anyone but the main cast and it drives me crazy. :scream:

I'm sure there's more, but these are the main things that bother me. Sheesh.
