What did YOU learn today?

I learned you should avoiding touching a ''heat-proof'' lid after cooking. (Damn it it wasn't "heat-proof" at all! Ouch!)

I learned that sore throats hurt... a lot. ;-; It burns when I swallow... and this is the second time in four days that this has happened... only this time it burns in the morning. Dx

I've learned that delivering papers isn't as easy as I thought it would be. I took a paper route because I'm in between jobs and I want to do something useful (and get some money) and I could start right away. I have about 1,5 hours to deliver about 80 papers. Piece of cake I thought...well, not really. I have 6 different papers (70 of one and a couple of each of the others), so I really have to look what paper I'm getting. And not all mailboxes are easy to use. Some are really low and some are really small. I now have way more respect for the people who deliver them all year round.

- My best friend knows how to keep talking on the phone for 4 hours.. :p
- Trips to London are cool and energy-eating. :)

- That an employee in a store that was near where I worked at faked a bomb threat to have an easy day at work o_O
- That the smallest thing makes me think of Supernatural
- That no matter the retail store, customers are a pain in the butt

Today I learnt I should listen to my parents. My eye is infected and still I decided to wear my contact lenses. My parents told me not to and I know the consequences now: the infection is even worse.

Today I learned:
There are special potatoes used to make chips- they're called chippers
It costs $3 per mile if you need your car towed (at least in my area)

I learned that:
Firefox is much better than IExplorer:lol:
You have to be very patient when you're waiting for your holidays.
Orange juice in an open wound burns like hell, even when the wound is a week old.

yeah Firefox is awesome...

I learned (the easy way, thankfully) that it is not a good idea to light a candle and forget about it and go shopping with your husband, then realize when you are 20 minutes away that there's a candle burning in your house.

Luckily everything was fine.:)

Today I learned that my sister wasn't kidding when she said the wanted to go see the new show of her favorite comedian next March. I thought she was and said (as a joke): I'll go with you. :brickwall: She called this morning saying that she had just bought the tickets. Now I have to go...
For those of you who are from Holland, we're going to see Bert Visscher. It's not that I don't like him, he is just a bit...exhausting...

Today I learned that the German Women's Soccer team can actually lose. Feels like the first time in 5 years, or something. Such a shame, here I thought they were a team that's safe to bet on. Losers.
