Maybe it's because you haven't reached 50 posts? I don't know about the image signatures, but you can't upload an avatar until you've written 50 posts and been a member for two weeks.

Lyzabeth, Pleni's right, you're not able to have an icon on here until you've been a member for 2 weeks and have 50 posts. As for your banner, I'm not sure why it's not working...

It won't work for you in the main message section because you haven't been a member for at least two weeks and have 50 posts or more. It should let you put that in your signature section for a banner. Copy and paste

but REMOVE THE SPACES before submitting. You have to choose if you want a banner OR text, but not both.

ever thought of telling people this/ posting it somewhere - or maybe you have and me being my normal self i happened to scroll past it -but it would save someone like me all the trouble

Thanks for pointing that put Dynamo, I totally forgot that we are only allowed a pic or text.

Sorry you're still having trouble with the banner, LyzabethSay - I didn't think to mention the text/banner rule before, sorry. I was thinking about how to make the dang thing work. :lol: I'm pretty sure you can have a banner from the start, even though avatars require a certain number of posts and a certain amount of time on the board.

There's a list of basic rules, guidelines and useful information in the General CSI Discussion forum (which is the first forum you can post in on the main forum list). Unfortunately, there isn't a list of rules linked in the sidebar of the board - it's something we should see about adding, though. :)

(BTW, if y'all see anything in that thread I linked to that isn't up-to-date or should be added, drop me a PM and I'll put it in. :))
