Very sad , a calm, sweet, easy going guy, and a good actor and who didn't enjoy him in "JAWS" and "All That Jazz" and "The French Connection"? very versatile!.. I just read about this in my paper..way to young, may he RIP!
I was also sad to hear of RS death. Liked him in Jaws but really loved him in Seaquest DSV. That show was awesome & hated that he left it so abruptly & never knew why. He'll be missed.
I liked Roy Scheider too. Very sad at this news. My favourite film of his though was the relatively unknown "The Seven-Ups" - it was billed as another follow on from "The French Connection", and I have to say that I thought the car chase in "The Seven Ups" outstrips the one in "The French Connection" by a mile. I actually jumped at the end of it.
