Wheel of Time Author Robert Jordan Dies

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Author Robert Jordan, whose "Wheel of Time" series of fantasy novels sold millions of copies, has died of a rare blood disease, his aide said Monday. He was 58.

Calihan: You beat me and Dynamo1 to the punch, but that's okay--I'm glad someone posted on Brett's passing. In her memory, today's CSI: Match Game phrases are reflective of the great Ms. Somers.

She was a brassy, sassy lady who more than held her own with the likes of Gene Rayburn and Charles Nelson Reilly. It's ironic that she passed so soon after CNR passed away. I bet she, Gene, Charles and Johnny Olson are sharing a 3 Martini lunch in the sky, trading quips and placing bets on when Richard Dawson is going to join them...

Wow that's a shame about Brett Somers :( She will be missed. I enjoyed watching Match Game and she was good on it

Televangelist Rex Humbard, dead at 88

ATLANTIS, Fla. - The Rev. Rex Humbard, a former itinerant preacher whose televangelism ministry once reached more parts of the globe than any other religious program, died Friday, a family spokeswoman said. He was 88.

Humbard died of natural causes at a South Florida hospital near his Lantana home, family spokeswoman Kathy Scott said.

Actress Alice Ghostley Dies at 81

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Alice Ghostley, the Tony Award-winning actress best known on television for playing Esmeralda on "Bewitched" and Bernice on "Designing Women," has died. She was 81.

Ghostley died Friday at her home in Studio City after a long battle with colon cancer and a series of strokes, longtime friend Jim Pinkston said.

That's ashame about Alice Ghostly :( She was good in Bewitched.

Awwww. Bewitched is my all-time favorite show. Alice was so great as the bumbling, self-depricating Esmerelda. It was so cute how the character would start to disappear when she thought she did something wrong. RIP Alice!
