I think it's a movie you need to grow up with... otherwise it's the most idiotic thing you'll ever watch. I love the movie... hate the lion....
 
I've never seen the Wizard of Oz. I only saw a couple of parts. My neighbor said there's a hole in my childhood. haha
 
Huh, trust me there is no hole in your childhood! I watched it when I was 7 or younger, it was too scary for me and that witch totally scared me! :mad: :eek: Same for the movie of Matilda... *shudders* And I don't like movies that scares me too much, I still get freaked out by those movies til to this day...

I HATE IT. I CAN'T STAND IT. My parents, sisters and everyone else thought it was such a 'wonderful' movie.... Hello? Flying monkeys, melting witches, a walking talking scarecrow... a twister... I LOVED the book, don't get me wrong. But an adult has years of deciphering make-believe and reality. A four year old doesn't. I would quietly back out of the family room and run to my room whenever it was on. It would give me nightmares for weeks. :( Still won't see it.

I like Matilda. I like other horror movies too. Jaws movies should be in the comedy section. I had to stop the Excorcist 'cuz I was laughing so hard I missed a section. :rolleyes:
 
C'mon, the Wizard of Oz premeired in 1939, at the beginning of WWII and at the end of the Great Depression. Things were dark and serious, people needed a happy little fancy movie to come to the big screen! For what it was, it wasn't bad. Perhaps they wanted the soldiers to think that there's no place like home? I don't know, but it's a classic.

If you don't like that one, there's always The Wiz........

Heh heh heh. Worst movie I've ever seen? Koyannaskatsi (or however you spell it). Our english teacher made us watch it. Not something I recommend if you don't like The Wizard of Oz. Not that it has anything to do with the Wizard of Oz.

Anyhoo, I love the Wizard of Oz. The Munchkins can get creepy though. They are so little... And they sing funny. Hmmm. Of course, I love the field of Poppies, plus the way the witch says it is so cool. So evil/awesome.

Kudos to whomever put the awesome Emperor Penguins up. That are so awesome!!!

Dude. And there's a pyscotic little ant on this computer desk.....
 
I once auditioned for the "Wizard of Oz" and they said that they said that I was the perfect size for a Munchkin.

What munchkins? What are they? I don't think I do remember seeing munchkins. OH OH the movie of Charlie and the chocolate factory! The little orange loompas totally scared me! :eek: But not anymore...*shudders*
 
I must shamefully admit that i've never seen the whole of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...

I so so don't like it. Much. But it was so darned funny when the "fat" boy got sucked up the tube! :D that's the only moment that I only really liked, I was thinking wouldn't he have drowned in the water where he was sucked up?
