Re: The "I Need Fanfic Help" Thread
I definitely did not mix up any "facts" in that fic. I made up a story, yes, but the background and the characters were 100% canon.
Same occupation as the author. Like, oh, say Nick goes to the bank every day and falls in love with the bank teller. Not like I know any bank tellers who would want to write a fic like that or anything tho.
Yeah. That was a review of one of MY stories. They said I "obviously" hadn't seen "Boom" and I'm like...uh...obviously YOU haven't! They also said "this is fan FICTION...get your facts straight!" Ummm....doesn't "fiction" mean I don't have to have any "facts" at all?
Yeah, in fiction you can write in an alternate reality if you want to. That's why its fiction. I mean, I've seen some pretty interesting alt reality fics or crossovers. I once read a fic that was a BTVS crossover with Army Of Darkness. that was just all kinds of awesome IMO. If I could only think of how to crossover CSI with Army Of Darkness. Boy that'd be weird.

Same occupation as the author you mean? Or same occupation as the character they're involved with? Cause I think it's harder to write a CSI fic and not make an original character a CSI or something along those lines. Because if you want to write a lot of scenes between the two, its just easier to do if they are both of the same occupation. :lol:What I hate is when I read a story about a character involved with someone who is obviously the author...same occupation or whatever.
