Hmmm, well being a guy myself, I can't really think of any reason a guy would wear a ring on his middle finger, especially since traditionally, rings with a specific meaning like that are worn on the ring finger. Maybe he wants to look fancy flipping the bird?

As for Nick's flirts, they do appear to be more or less casual, not very serious ones. I think a fic I read on WMTDB said it best as for Nick's friendly touches, if it was just friends he would most likely do the same to Warrick.

By the way, does anyone have an idea who to go to for a username change here? PM if anyone knows.

So what's the verdict on "The Happy Place"? I know I'll get to see it in a couple of days, but I'd love to know if there are any specific Nick/Greg moments that I should keep my eye out for while I'm watching. Actually, I just realised there hasn't been much action in this thread at all. Has everyone run away because I'm back? :shifty:

The Happy place was the worst episode ever made. No Nick and Greg scenes at all but that's not why it sucked. Once you have the misfortune of watching it you'll understand. Greg was with Sara, it was Greg's case but he was barely there. It was all about Sara.

I hate it when they do that. Greg's part of the main cast yet he's treated like some recurring character. :scream:

Too bad that there was no interaction between Nick and Greg. :(

    It's not you Clarrissani! ;)

I like the idea of Nick wearing a ring. Hm, maybe we could get someone to get a screencap of that scene, so we have visual proof? Anyway, he wouldn't be the first one to get married after a tragedy. Poor Warrick did the same after GD and maybe Nick was so devastated after Warrick's death that he asked Greg to marry him so their relationship would finally be "official"? Ah, wouldn't that be romantic yet sad?
Nick rummaging through a drawer, looking desperately for that business card he got in Bull, finally finding it, running to Greg, falling on his knees with tears in his eyes and asking Greg to marry him?

OK, wow, now that was so extremely sweet I think I'm getting into a sugar shock

^^ SQUEE, much? I love that scenario, although it reminds me a little too much of Warrick and Tina. I can understand why Nick would just up and ask Greg to marry him, though, 'cause life's too short. It was too short for Warrick, and it was almost too short for Nick at one point.

I personally didn't even notice the ring on Nick's finger. What a bad fangirl I am, eh? Ah well--hopefully someone out there has a screen cap.

I personally despised THP for many different reasons, but the biggest one would be using Greg just to introduce Sara's case. And she doesn't even work there. *angry mutters* Whatever--nothin' I can do about it.

Ask and you shall receive. :D Those of us in the Ward who wander over here are always willing to help with Nick pics.

The ring that he's currently wearing he started wearing I think in either season 3 or season 4. Before that he wore a fairly plain metal band. (I've added a pic of season 1 ring below.)

    And for your viewing pleasure:
    Holding his gun on McKeen.
    A better view of it.
George in a TV Guide scan in 2005.

Also the design on the ring is the same as on the clasp (or snap) of the leather wristband he wears now. I've go a cap that shows but I can't seem to find it in my overlarge collection of Nick/George pics. The leather band he's been wearing pretty steadily since Rashomama from what I've been able to tell.

Ok - found one of the wristband. You can just barely tell but I don't have one that's straight on.

And here's one of the ring in season 1.

Thanks so much for the screencaps, blackflag!
You should have warned me, though that there was the pornstache in the last pic! Nearly blinded me. :p;)

So it wasn't after all a plain band but a, what?, an insignia ring (is that the correct term?). Hm, nevertheless I like it and I really like the wristband, too. Greg's style really rubbed up on him (hey, no dirty thoughts here!)

Yeah, the only thing one with the wedding scenario is the similarity to Warrick and Tina, but unlike them, Nick and Greg are meant to be and love each other so tying the knot is not really something out of the blue but something long in the making.

I hate to be the spoil sport, but Nicky is wearing that ring on his right hand. Aren't wedding rings worn on the left hand? I mean he could be keeping it on his right hand to keep suspicion down at the lab, that would make sense.

I was also upset with THP. I thought Greg's treatment was rather not happy, but at the same time I understand it. I do believe this is going to be Jorja's last time on the show and I guess TPTB wanted one last sap story for the plethora of reasons Sara just can't stay in Vegas.

It's even too sweet for me:lol:

Like blackflag showed (thanks you for pics!:D), Nick is wearing a ring for years. When I saw it first time I thought why he was wearing it. But now I got used to it and don't think about it. And btw, InnocentGuilt nicely commented - he's wearing on the right hand. Nick just likes jewellery.

I haven't seen THP and I'm not sure do I want to see it. And not 'cause of the lack of Nick/Greg scenes. But well, like InnocentGuilt said - they needed to show reason why Sara didn't want to stay in Vegas.

I managed a cap of Nick's ring. The only ring I saw was on his right hand. He is wearing the same ring he always does however, it does look like there could be a second gold band on the same finger! Or maybe its an illusion. Judge for yourselves.

I didn't notice if Greg had one, don't think he did.

Hmmm. I always wondered about that ring. That ring screams bling not love.

Too bad though. It would be great if they got married/'engaged. I cannot remember Greg wearing any jewelery of any kind (I might be wrong).

Plus I think George really loves wearing rings.

    The ring.

Since I have a cold ( and too much time on my hands today ), I've been doing a little research and this is what I've found:

Since most heterosexual unions are symbolized by gold rings, many gay men who are in a comitted relationship, wear silver rings on their right hand just as heterosexual couples wear gold rings on the left hand.

Who knows...Maybe, they don't want the whole lab knows about them so Greg wears his ring on a chain around his neck..;)

^^ Makes sense. Also since he used to work in lab where he wore rubber gloves all the time he just became accustomed to wearing it on a chain around his neck. I know my brother in law who had to wear his around his neck like that, it took him a while to getting used to wearing it on his finger again. Where as Nicky enjoys the big ring to show on his right hand. And since he has always worn one on his right hand no one would say anything about it. Who knows.

I was unhappy with The Happy Place. No Nicky and Greggo action not even in passing. Then it turns into the freaking Sara show with Greggo's case. I'm sorry all Sara fans but she bothers me so much and I'm glad she left again. Also that they just sorta fell off all the cases except Griss's. Anywho the next episode look pretty good. Hopefully we will see so LOVE action soon. I need another the LOVE fix soon, baby.

I just love the idea of Greg wearing his ring around his neck. But that would imply that they have been together at least since S3, no, wait, actually long before that. Because I don't think either of them would jump into marriage that easily.

Hm, my brain doesn't work too well today.

Anyway, Nick really loves his jewelry, doesn't he. Maybe Greg gave him that wristband to match with his ring? Now that would be totally Greg.
