I just watched Chasing the Bus for the first time today and the look on Greg's face when Nick says he should've brought another jacket was like he was thinking, "Hey Nick, aen't you even going to offer your coat?"
I'm not sure if Greg would accept it anyway but still it would have been nice of Nick to offer and even when he takes it off he could've given it to Greggo instead of putting it on the ground.

I've never seen the episode where it's mentioned about Greg's virginity so I can't reall say but I have heard that he was 22. I think he was most likely in Vegas at 22. Cause as caff said, he was 25 in pilot and he'd been there for a while. I also agree with Wojo that Sara shouldn't have been talking about Greg's personal stuff with other people. I don't care much that he told her that but for her to tell Mia is just wrong. I knew there was a justified reason why I've never liked her.

Re Chasing the Bus: I saw this episode today as well and it was actually a good one. When Nick says, "Didn't you bring a warmer jacket?" and Greg replies, "No," I lol'd at the look Nick gives him. It's a look that totally says, "You aren't ready for this yet." I also really liked the part when the bus driver starts to cough up blood and Greg freezes up. It was Greg's first night out in the field and he wasn't even ready, of course he'd freeze up. I'm glad Nick understood, though. Nick's pretty good when it comes to understanding what your motivation is for something . . . except any crimes/murders to do with kids, that is.
Re Greggo virginity: I don't know why Sara would spread it around. It makes no sense to me. It really isn't anyone else's business, so why even talk to it with anyone? Especially Mia. I didn't even know Sara and her were close . . . and if they weren't, she'd just talk about it with any random lab tech? I don't get it.

I love it. I love the dialog from Swap Meet about that.

Mia: Nine vibrators, five plugs and four strands of beads.
Greggo: And a partridge in a pear tree. Some kids are happy playing in the sandbox, others want every toy in the store. And apparently these are dishwasher safe.
Mia: I'll swab the nooks and crannies for semen and vaginal secreations and epthelials, but don't get your hopes up.
Greggo: Oh, my money's on bag number two.
Mia: Twenty-six used condoms.
Greggo: Just like being back in college, right?
Mia: Sara said you didn't lose your virginity until you were twenty-two.

Then we come back to the idea of Greggo knowing what all those toys are. I love this episode so much. As for the Chasing the Bus coat thing. I don't maybe Nicky just got so concentrated on the case he forgot about the coat thing. Who knows. Sara's Girl I really like your fic, although its very angsty I love it. Very well written and I like the plot line.

Heh, thanks for posting that dialogue, I was trying to remember exactly what was said. Mia's cool, I miss her sometimes. Oh, he knows alright, what they all are. I definitely see Greg as the more 'experienced' in the same-sex relationship thing too, and the more adventurous i.e. with stuff like this ^^ and liquid latex and stuff. Hmm...

Thank you so much, MsCatherineBrown *blushes* I'm delighted you're enjoying it even though it's angsty. Too much angst and too much Johnny Cash for me this weekend *collapses*

I think that paints Sara in a really bad light, I mean why is she sharing something Greg told her in private? Shame on her.

As for Chasing the bus, I guess I see things a bit differently. I don't see why Nick should give up his coat to Greg and be cold for the rest of the night because Greg didn't bring a warmer jacket. I mean it would be considered gentlemanly for Nick to give up his coat to a woman but Greg isn't a woman and I don't see Nick treating him like one. Just my take on it.

Ok then, 2 points:

1) I had not even thought about Sara's actions but you have a really good point. I like Sara a lot and normally she seems like someone you could really trust with a secret, I don't get why she'd go around telling Mia that, because I don't think she and Mia are close. Maybe she had a fight with Greg and did it out of spite.

Or maybe it's not even true, and part of Greg's mysterious can't-figure-me-out sexual smokescreen, along with all of his fake dates and kink-knowledge, and his good friend Sara is helping him to cultivate that image so no one finds out about Nick. I like this idea better :p

2) Secondly, I get what you saying about the coat, and I totally do not see Greg as the 'woman', he is very much a man  but I suppose I thought Nick might offer because he is kind of overprotective, and the field is his world, y'know, Greg is out of his comfort zone and obviously freaked out, like when that guy starts coughing up blood. To me it would be a friendly gesture, you know:

'Come on, man, pull yourself together, you can do this. Put this on.'

Greg might even refuse but I think he would be touched to be offered. :)

I like that look on Greg's face too, Greggo Obsessed! I do like most looks he has though, to be honest...*cough*

Greg Sanders finds other peoples predilections appealing, he is an open minded soul. For this reason alone, that’s why he knows things about adult toys, (you know what sorts!), liquid latex, chubby chasers etc…

I’ve just finished watching an episode I believe in the 5th season, where the team are split up, Nick/Cath/ Warrick join the swing shift, whilst Grissom/Sofia/Sara and Greg are the night shift…
Cath’s team deals with corruption within sports.
Grissom’s team deals with the death of man, who went to a chubby chaser event.

In this episode we see Greg with Sara and Grissom investigate the chubby chasers death, of Fa- bbw admirer.

To tie in with the discussion of Greg and how he knows the stuff he does, is because he is curious about people, about his friends, about society. This curiosity is probably also what aided him into choosing criminalistics to work in.

I don’t know why Sara told Mia, and to be honest I think that its another continuity slip, cause TPTB had to put in Greg’s age when he lost his virginity, its true, he never said with whom. I agree with Sara's Girl, Greg Sanders has a lot of mystery about him, and who knows the truth.... Nick does.....!

Exactly, in my mind, it has nothing to do with sexuality or even gender... It was just odd for Nick to throw the coat down, especially when Greg was shivering...

Like i said before, I've given my coat to a co-worker becuase it was the right thing to do, I was warm in my hoodie, she was freezing...

Yeah Sara should have never have done that. I just think the writer's do not think things through when they come up with these random comments.

And I am with you, Wojo, on not seeing it odd that Nick did not give up his jacket for Greg. Yes, as a female I have given up my jacket at work for another female co-worker and I think it is more common for a woman to do it. But for a man to give it up for another man unless they truly are in a relationship, I do not see it happening. And I think that Nick and Greg at that point in Season 2 were more so still in flirting stages and not really involved yet.

^-^ Until now I'd never even really realized that Greg's curious, and then I could mentally kick myself because it's so obvious. He does know a lot of stuff about people and society in general. Stuff that others don't know about or have no interest in. I agree that this probably prodded Greg into criminalistics--it seems like a pretty good career choice if you are intrigued by the world around you and what people are up to.
I wonder how Greg's curiosity affects Nick. To me Nick doesn't seem extremely curious, but he does know about his world as well. I'd think that Greg's off beat knowledge of society would be interesting for Nick . . . but it could also annoy him sometimes.

You see the thing with Nick, is that underneath all that charm, is someone who wants to be a superhero- lets face it he likes to save people. He has empathy for victims and surviors of child abuse, of cruelty in general... What sparked Nick's interested, is that Greg saw him... Simple as that.

Being seen can either elate someone into something else, or it could scare a person into hiding. Personally if someone sees me I get scared... I back off...

To me at least, Greg is the type of person to say "blah, so you have issues, who dont" see what I'm saying?

The attraction between them two is fuzzy but very real... The cannon fact of them both owning a compture console system, is weird, because I dont see Nick playing them!- unless there sports related.

However I think that its what connected them together, giving them both something to talk about... (In the very first episode this is seen)

(Nick wants to rescue the world, when Greg wants to understand it... Thats probably why they both in their own way idoilse Grissom.)

Candygirl, I would never say it better about idoilsing Grissom.

I always saw Nick as a type of hero. It's not hard to come to that conclusion - I don't need to remind all the situations. Thanks to them I really like (ok, I'll be honest, love;)) Nick. I agree with you Candy that Greg see this side of Nick's personality. But on the other hand Nick is so sensitive. Sometimes his empathy can be destructive. Because of that sometimes I really think that Greg is psychically stronger.

Consoles. I see Nicky playing some tactical games, connected with wars etc. But also some sport stuff.

Totally agree with that. Candygirl I too love that statement about how the boys feels about Grissom. Nicky wants to save everyone and looks up to Griss almost in a fatherly figure kinda light. Where as Greggo respects the different ways Grissom looks at the world, and knows he appreciates his own curiosity. Also I agree that Greggo has a more of a handle on psychy then Nicky does. Nicky tends to have outbursts and almost becomes destructive ( like Deirdre puts it). I think these differences are what make the boys so compatible. Also this is how I love them both for different reasons. That and they are both smokin hot.

As for consoles thing, we in the show have seen Nicky playing sports games. So I guess thats the type of genre he likes. Where as I can see Greggo playing more RPG type things and more whats considered nerdy types of thing. But I like the idea of them playing car racing games or something together.

Nick and Greg totally idolise Grissom. They both want to be more like him . . . but maybe in some ways they don't. I don't think either of them want to be like Gris in the way that he doesn't let anyone really get to know him. That probably seems pretty lonely. I think Catherine put it best when she said "I should be just like you, alone in my hermetically-sealed condo, watching Discovery on the big screen. Working genius-level crossword puzzles. No relationships. . . . Right, I want to be just like you."
I COMPLETELY agree that Nick is always trying to be a hero. What episode is it where he saves some guy when a drunk driver (?) ran into his crime scene? He has a total saving people thing going on, but I honestly think that's what's great about him. He cares so much about other people that he'd be willing to be in peril just to rescue someone else. I also think that might worry Greg a bit sometimes.
Sad scenario coming up! Please do not read if you don't want to! It'll be in a spoiler wrapping thing because some people don't like depressing scenarios.
Okay so here's a kind of scenario where Nick's heroism would definitely get him into trouble. So both Nick and Greg have the night off and they decide to do different things. Greg wants to stay in and Nick wants to go out, so they do just that. Nick is going to go to a bar with Warrick while Greg stays in and watches a movie. Nick is driving to meet Warrick when he sees someone in trouble. Maybe someone getting mugged or something . . . but anyways--he gets out and tries to help and ends up getting stabbed twice. A few hours later, someone finds him and calls the police. Greg still doesn't know and he gets the phone call after Nick's been rushed to the hospital. Wow, sorry for the long scenario . . .
But I'm also extremely sure that Greg is proud of Nick for being willing to save someone else in exchange for being in danger. I agree with Deirdre when she said that Greg seems psychically stronger. He honestly does--we've only seen him break down once. I don't know the count for Nick, but it's definitely more than one.

See, I've been thinking, just like Superman, Nick Stokes saves people, but at times who is there to save him??? Because all superheroes, and normal heroes, needs a partner to save them, to love them, to care for them.... So the only person who saves Nick is Greg.

Nick and Greg compliment each other, some things are clear, whilst other things are hidden... Both men are strong, they do both want to be like Grissom- but not.... Whilst Nick has this "superman" quality about him, Greg sees the world for what it is, sometimes a good place and sometimes a bad place... Grissom is like Mr Kent. Grissom says what he has to say, but for the most part, he really doesnt actuarly say what he wants to...

Ok i love Superman and smallvielle (sp?) sorry for the comparrison.

Greg Sanders saved Nick, from Kristy, from well fates worse than death for a gay man.... (See where I'm coming from?)

Greg is patient, caring, funky, smart and weird.... That is just what dependable, clueless, hardworking, clever Nick Stokes needs in his life... A balance and who better can give him that than the loudly playing (cannon fact), loud clothing, loud hairstyling man of Greg Sanders?

Granted Greg has grown up, he has stopped wearing the loud clothes and the out-there- hairstyles, but then if your a criminalistics, and you see someone walking towards you with spiky hair, what would you do? Plust the age thing as well.... Greg has grown up on the show!

Yes when he first started having funky out there clothes, he was trying to make a statement about who he was... Everyone thought they knew, but no, cause the only person (apart from his best friend Sara), is his other best friend, lover, boyfriend (depends which season, and if you believe there together) Nick Stokes...

:eek:How could I forget about consoles:eek: Greggo like more RPG stuff, not Nicky. Hmm... maybe he wanted Nicky to interest in this kind of games? And that's why I made some thought "jump"

M_L_C, of course I read sad scenario. And it was exactly what I thought yesterday. Nicky's heroism can be really destructive... And I'm afraid that motive will be used just like in your scenario:( (I watched today For Gedda, so I'm in pessimistic mood... last epi just gives chances for heroism etc.)

Candygirl, I agree that Greg is for Nick. But I see some small conflicts between them. Greg grow up and thanks to that he started to be more composed, rational and just calm. And again For Gedda. This moment when Grissom, Cath, Nick and Greg are together. It was easy to see how hard it's for Nick. He's older (or more suitable - experienced) than Greg but still much more emotional. Everyone remember when he was angry at him. It was only seconds but I can't forget his look at Greg. I think he felt disappointed. He wanted to rely on him...

Its true Nick does like to play the hero but he's not the only one who likes to save people, remember FanyySmackin'? Really close to candygirl's scenario. It was Greg who saw Stanly being attacked and he tried to put a stop to it and ended up being pulled from his vehicle and getting his ass kicked.

Although I believe Nick was angry, angry because he wasn't there to protect Greg and that he got hurt. Causing him to lash out and hit somebody (Pigman).

I love how you put that, Candy! I totally have to agree. Uh...I'm more good with Spiderman, so I'm comparing it to that, Nick is Peter Parker, and Greg is Mary-Jane. Someone to love Peter/Nick and keep him sane and just be there on the side to come home to and comfort him.

And, yes, for the record, I can vert much see where you're coming from. ^_^

Yeah...I just compared Greg to a fictional female character from a comic book/movie/cartoon. Got a problem? Well, I guess you'll just have to deal then, won't you?! lol.

Yeah, everyone. I'm off from school, so I'll be around more often. I'm sorry for not being around, but...I've had some things going. Yeah....going back to a subject from a while ago, I think we can call ourselves the "New Generation" of love shippers. All the other ones seem to have drifted way from this forum, but we're here. I know that that how I'd like to see it. Passing the love down to the nest generation.

I got this from a story I recently read; In "Let the Seller Beware" (or so we think) This ACTUALLY HAPPENS:

Nick: How long for DNA results?
Greg: Give me something to compare it to. *looks suggestive* I'm open twenty-four hours.
Nick: *Looks surprised.*

hehe. That's mostly Greg one-sided, but Nick didn't like, freak out. So there's something. And, hey, THE WRITTERS ARE WORKING WITH US! If not, Eric is with those great eye movements and voice acting! lol.

Well, I'll see you guys soon. Gotta go work on my novel. Yeah, I'm writting a novel...I'll probably never get it published, but a girl can dream, can't she?

-Lynn

Ah, right you are Wojo! Greg did indeed risk his life to save that man. I was extremely proud of him for that. It was such a selfless act, and he paid dearly for it, but he saved someone's life. Another life was lost . . . but Demetrius shouldn't have been doing that kind of thing anyways. Nonetheless, what was done was done.
LoL Lynn! I can't believe you compared Greg to a girl . . . but that comparison does work. I have never been into Spiderman or Superman . . . but I have seen the first Spiderman movie, so I get what you're talking about. Greg really is always there for Nick, no matter what Nick's up to. And it also works in reverse . . . how much you want to bet that Nick rushed to the hospital after he heard what happened in Fannysmakin'? Oh, and good luck on your novel!
Deirdre- so true . . . For Gedda really does have a chance for heroism, be it Grissom ('cause you know he's going to be on the warpath) or Nick who does this. Hmmm . . . I'm kind of wondering what the team's going to do to the Undersheriff once they find out that he's the one who killed Warrick. I could see one of them flying off the handle and trying to kill the slime ball. I wouldn't blame them, either. Hmmm. . .
