Yeh continuity isn't the strongest point of TPTB.

I really love the Lady Heather idea now, I liked it, now I love it. I mean we all need more Lady H anyway, it really would be awesome if she came back and said something like that ^ ^ candygirl1uk and just know, that'd be cool.

Or even if like they were working a scene and she just stopped and looked at the way they work together and act around each other, and then smiled and stuff, that'd be cool too.

I love it when Nick and Greg wear similar clothes, or as has been previously mentioned, each others (or very similar clothes). It's so sweet.

Since I've been involved in The Love, I've started to look for subtext in episodes. Sometimes I miss it and sometimes I don't. Maybe it's a skill you've gotta refine over the years.

I never really noticed that pic before, but in my little world of my own just I really noticed how much Greg is staring at Nick, looking into his eyes, aww.

I also miss some of the subtexty moments, but then others I see and think WOW. I guess it is a refined art

Hi guys! Been busy, I see. I finished finals, so I imagine you'll be seeing a bit more of me now. 8D I am going to be gone for two weeks starting next Monday, but I might pop in if I get a chance. Anyway!

As far as I know, it wasn't canon. :\ In the S5 eppy, 4x4, Greg & Sara have to be decontaminated and there's nothing. Lemme whip out my S5 DVDs and grab a screencap...
Here, here, and here. The first two are courtesy of the beyond-imagination CSI-Cap site. Anyway, I'd imagine that no, he doesn't have scars, even though it was a pretty justified thought. :S In any case, these are from S5 and the lab blew up in S3, soo...*shrugs* Maybe he had enough work done between S3 and S5 to make up for it?

Also, I have to admit, I absolutely love Nicky's floppy hair. 8D

I recall seeing Up in Smoke, but only remember watching it for the subtexty moments. xD Anyone care to remind me what happens? Haha, it seems as though I remember episodes better if it has subtext. 4x4 is an exception to that because it has half-naked Greg. And, um, does that need much of an explanation?

Sucker... why would you even have to ask about half naked Greg needing an explanation?!?! lol... of course he doesn't! *snickers* Bet Nick was jealous of Sara... now imagine if that had been Nick instead of her..... I can hear all of the girls squeeing as I write this...

Um... what else was I going to say? Oh yeah, the hair... I dunno about Nicky with long hair. It's ok. Not my fav though. I liked the buzzed look, but so far only in the ep of "Snakes" just cause it went with him being in charge and yelling is Spanish with a gun. lol.

And, oh yes, regarding the scars, I'm not sure if it was cannon or not. I don't think so, since from what I've seen recently (been rewatching everything, except season four and after five which I sadly don't own yet) no after affects of the explosion have been mentioned. Nothing except his shaking hands, I believe. However, that being said, I really do wish there was something on scars. Because, as much as I don't want him to have any, there have been some of the most amazing and beautifully written stories about him having them. Now... here go those darn plot bunnies again... what if, in cannon, he had scars, and somehow, someone saw them and made a nasty comment, but Nick was there to back him up, and he could show Greg he's cool with them? I know, it's probably been done in a fic, but not on cannon. That would be cool. I think.

Well, that's it for me tonight. I need to get caught up on my WIPs and real work not related to my so-called fanfiction writing addiction... wow... that rhymed...

I personally think they just totally forgot about Greg, that he should have scars. It's like they completely forgot about him being in that explosion. I always thought that in Spark of Life, they should have had Greg mention the fact that seeing that woman so burned...he could have been like that if the lab explosion had been worse. I love the fanfics that actually write that he has scars from that. I mean I have a little scar from just an oven burn! :lol:

It would have been nice if Nick had been around during Spark of Life instead of Sofia to comfort him.

Oh I love that fic...in fact I was thinking of it earlier when I accidentally started this whole Lady Heather discussion! Not that I'm complaining, I would love to see her more, though I agree they made a mistake doing what they did in S7. She's a little like Gris in that she notices and analyses everything but better because she isn't afraid to ask the difficult/potentially filthy questions that maybe Nick needs to be asked about Greg.

It's weird, i never considered Greg not having scars until just now. But yeah, in 4x4 you don't see any in the shower. (and yes I bet Nick was extremely jealous that Greg had to be naked with Sara, but Greg does say he didn't look, it's Sara that does, and do you blame her? ) It annoys me when TPTB ignore important details of Greg's story like this...it makes no sense for him not to have scars after what happened, it's like they don't think. Bah. I love all the stories that have come out of Greg being upset by his scars and Nick making him see that he's still beautiful *sob*

I'm with you Dizzney, Nick should have been there in Spark of Life, much as I love Sofia. And thanks for the manips btw, I forgot before but I loved that first one :thumbsup:

Well I dunno about Greg's scars, In my mind I just think his injuries weren't as bad as the paramedics first thought after the explosion. He was back to work in the next episode so maybe he got off easy. Besides, Greg is such a beautiful boy that I don't think most fans want to see him all scarred up.

I'm sure Nick took real good care of Greg's back so it healed up really nice and scar free. I've read numerous fics about Greg having scars but I normally choose to to include that in my fics (Although I did with my 'Greg's Anatomy' fic).

^-^ Thanks for the amazing screencaps! I personally love 4x4. It's a cute episode ... mostly 'cause it's Greggo getting decontaminated. I'm kind of sad that Greg doesn't have scars. I think it would add a lot more to his character, actually. It shows what he's gone through and how much he's grown and changed. It takes an extremely long time for scars to fade, but it takes an even longer time for the memories that go along with that scar to fade as well. I'm hoping that for Greg the imaginary scars and the memories have faded.

^-^ I really enjoyed that story. So much detail and it really showed how Lady Heather could out them. She's an extremely intelligent woman and I also agree TPTB kind of lost the amazingness of her character in Season 7. Ah well.

There was a writer talking about it, forget who, and him being blown up never came up. That made me really mad! So, yeah, I think they did forget all about it.

Lonewolf, To my knowledge no one has commented on Gary leaving, they are probably not allowed to because of contract reasons. Also please remember the rule of a minimum of three lines per post when posting. This means every time you post. The mods are pretty strict on this. thanks.

I haven't listened to the commentaries but that is so typical of TPTB, I'm sorry but to completely ignore the angle that Greg might have been upset to work a case with a burn victim after being caught in an explosion is just...I hate when they don't make Greg important. That said, I'm sure Nick made him very important and was able to comfort him quite adequately

I love that picture Jacquie! I do like dark haired lab Greg too, I cannot deny it.

Re WMTDB - It has been down since pretty much first thing this morning (about 7am UK time I think). I have been emailing Nina (BflyW) who is helping Kelly and Matt to switch over to the new server and the old site isn't supposed to be down yet so it looks like technical problems, hopefully it should be back up and running a little while longer until we make the leap to the new shiny WMTDB Hope this helps, I for one am having withdrawal symptoms after only being without it today *shakes head*

UPDATE: I just visited WMTDB and it is up and running again (at least it was for me).

Now those going through withdrawal can get their fix again and read all the new or old stories about our guys.

About Greg's importance to the show, I have sent a letter to Carol Mendelsohn about that very thing today and am encouraging other Greg fans to do the same. (address posted on the Eric/Greg thread) Greg deserves equal screen time. He and Nick deserve screen time together as well (but I didn't write that in my letter).
