Can someone please help the incurably lost, a.k.a me?
I'm trying to make an animated avatar (just a basic one where it changes from picture to picture and keeps looping) and I have all the images already made, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to animate them.
I use Photoshop Elements 5.0, by the way.
I'm sure someone has asked this same question before, so if someone could just give me a link to a tutorial or something like that, I would really apreciate it!

I use photoshop elements too. It's a different version, but it should be pretty much the same. So here's what you need to do:
1. Go to File > Save for Web
2. In the box that comes up, find the little button labeled Animated, and click it.
3. There's a little box at the bottom labeled Animation. In this box there is a little button labeled loop. It should be checked already, and you should leave it that way. There is also a little box labeled Delay. Change the number in this box to control how long it stays on each picture.

Well, I was still a bit confused about a couple of things after reading your post, DragonflyDreamer, but it did help. Actually, I was just about to pm you and beg for help when I had a revelation and figured out what I needed to do. Now I'm done and very excited about it!

Anyone know about how much Photoshop 7 is, and where I can get it cheapest? I'm on the East Coast US, so any stores that are local would be great. I'm planning on taking a collage course, "Photoshop 7 for absolute beginners" But I need the program, right now all I've got is PSP X (I don't recommend it to anyone)

Try Amazon.com or Half.com, even Ebay. They don't sell anything less than 10 in stores. I had to buy PSP 9 off of Amazon. But they are really cheap for the program and shipping. Hope that helps.

Right ok I have Adobe Photoshop 7 and I have a few zip folders with different brushes in! I know I have to extract the files but i'm not sure where to extract them to. I have managed to sort out what to do with text, is it similar? Can someone help
