Login names are nics that you create when you sign up to a site but alot of sites have it setup so that you can change how its shows up when you are posting.
A display name is the name everyone see's when you post, When you post your display name is, NicknGrissom therefore that is the nic you would login to the new board with.
I would go in and check it, even though you know for a fact that its the same one, better to be safe then opps. Email updating is very important, if there was any error that required a reset of the password it would be emailed to you at the address listed on file here, and therefore if you need to use that option there would be any problems, as I mentioned above its best to error on the side of good and just double check it to make sure it is what you currently use.
Avatars: should be saved to your computers, when the new board opens you will be able to upload them from your computer to the board server without having to use Photobucket, etc. The upload to the new board should be no different then it would be to any site that you would upload pictures to.
Signatures: if you have a banner it will have to be hosted by an image site like photobucket, etc, and the sizes of banners will remain the same (as far as we have been told) no larger then 220 Wide by 75 High, and the same rule applies you would have the choice of either a "Banner" or "Text" not both.

Okay a word of advice to everyone, while the move might be smooth the transition might take an hour or a couple days. I like to think of it as just like joining a new message board (in this case you don't have to re-sign up, you will already be a member) you have to look around get a feel for it, and just plain adjust to everything. There might be some functions that we don't have here (and no I don't know what all we will or won't have), there will be mistakes, and help maybe needed. - We will try to help out and make it as smooth as possible for you, but keep in mind, as mods it will be new to us as well, so we are asking everyone to be patient, it may or may not be frustrating but your cooroperation will be much appreciated.
