destiny I did see the announcement, but I really appreciate you starting a thread about the move. Especially, if I didn't end up seeing it.

I had no problem forwarding pm's to my email.

I've been waiting for an announcement, but haven't seen it. So it's good that you have brought it to everyone attention.

You're all welcome, and trust me its going to be cool, I can honestly say there is no way it can be broken and leave it at that. :D I am not sure if the look will be the same as over there, or if the board will be a mirror image of what we have now, with updated advantages.

Thank's Destiny you're more hi-tech than I am, on the word pad :confused:I don't have that, and I do know how to post pictures, but I'm still in the dark about the avatars/icons.. sorry I'm so lame, and my stupid paste on the cut-copy-paste is blanked out, I don't know why? so does this leave dummies or computer challenged fans like me without being able to post these pics? ~hangs head in shame~ so is this supposed to be easier, or harder :(

Actually you probably do have that, depending on your computer, try this click the "Start" button, then "All Programs" and then "Accessories", then look for notepad and or Wordpad it should be in there. ;)

Well I don't know why either :p but there are other ways to do that without the right clicking method. Simply highlight the text as you would, then hold the "ctrl" button and the letter "C" to copy, or the letter "V" to paste.

I am sorry again you have lost me, but you are not lame or dumb if that helps. Now correct me if I am wrong are you talking about saving pictures to your computer, then just right click and "Save Picture As" and then put it in the folder you want to store it in on your computer. If I am wrong I am sorry and will await further what you are asking.

Thank's Destiny whoops, your right again, I sure do have 'word pad' exactly where you said, I just never look at it, so when I brought it up it's just a blank page, then what? and on the avatars/icons, we won't be doing them the same as before with the http:// or [image]? will it be different as far as putting them on the site? my daughter would be so miffed off, she's showed me this, the cut-copy-paste and would say "MOM" :( I'll try what you said, thank's for responding to me ;)I'll get it eventually :D

I have no idea what you people are talking about. Does this mean if I don't do all kinds of technically difficult computer things that I couldn't figure out on a bet, I will no longer be able to locate this site, and read and write post after March 9th?

Thanks Destiny yeah i read the hints and saw the advert.

What might be of help is for people to note down either in word pad or word processor or whatever people use to save information to, save their threads.. ie if your a nick fan save the thread so you can remember which thread your reading...

Once again if your like me a huge Nick and Greg fan, so i've opened word processor and just typed in the fort fpr Nick and Greg. -Which is a reminder for me to look for it when the move is finished.

I also contribute to Eric threads so i'll type in the thread.

Does that help people?

Toots- what might happen, and please correct me if im wrong Destiny- when ppl clink of talkCSI, they will be another link, where people can go to.

As far as i can gather, it will still be TalkCSI but on a different format. So dont worry. What about our names and status symbols, is that still gonna be transfered over to the other server??

But people, regardless of your shippers please keep your email addresse current....

Just to clarify. When you got to http://talk.csifiles.com on/after March 9th you will be taken to the board, just as you are now. It will ask you to log in, which you will do using your screen name (rather than this system which requires your login name, with the new system you will log in with your screen name) and password. And then, technically, all your threads, names, posts will be there just as they are here (although visually it will be a little different, but the colours will be the same or similar).

It's just different software, and some posting functions work differently, but otherwise (bar any serious technical malfunctions) everything will still be there, all your threads and posts. You will need to upload your avatar again though, as they will be uploaded to the server (just as premium members can currently do here) so you won't need to host it on another site (like photobucket).

Your welcome, well try using it for CCP practice for now, or if you have something favorite you want to keep text wise like favorite lines ect copy and paste it in.

Awww as far as I know doing the images on the new site will be just the same as here when it comes to codes.

No that is not what it means at all, granted there will be some new things at the new board but it will still have some of the stuff this has, think of it as a new updated version of here, maybe a few extra fun things. As to locating the site and posting, it will be easy, see by moving Antony will move all of us, all we do is come in like we normally do (the address will not change) and sign in as normal. Then I recommend looking around get a feel and then start posting as you normally would. Don't worry alot of the Techie stuff the mods will have to deal with. :lol:

Otherwise:
We have been informed that most of the active threads will be moved to the new board, but incase one doesn't show up that is one reason to make copies, and also any past threads that are no longer active (ie Actor/actress past discussions/pictures threads) may or may not be moved.

More and more will come out so lets not panic, breathe, we [mods, admins, techs] will be there to help out and we all will have to take time to adjust to anything new. This is something were all good at whether we know it or not. Questions are good, but again breathe and relax. We know that it doesn't seem like a lot of info out there about it, but I personally think having it come out slowly is better because of the fact that it will allow you to be more comfortable. Again check out the Trekbbs site and look around but don't get excited or panic its just a new board. So to be safe let me repeat one more time BREATHE! :D ;)

Thank's again Destiny I appreciate your time and effort and help, possibly this is a new challange, for some of us, I always enjoy trying new things, so I'll try what you suggested.. ~wish me luck~ ;)

I'm actually glad you started this thread Destiny as it has given all of us the answers to some questions that we had but didn't know where to post them. I think like everything new it will take some of us a bit longer to figure things out than others but we will all get there in the end :)

You all are welcome, I am glad we could help you in this, and as to new things, I agree sometimes we get so use to the old that we just get rutted (or stuck) and sometimes the new and challenging reminds us that change can be good as well as bad or confusing. Hmm to think now I might have to change my title from "Sanity Challenged Mod" to "Extremely Sanity Challenged" Which if shortened would be ESC and on the computer keyboard is "escape". :lol:

Oh Destiny you won't be able to "escape" from anything. You and all the mods are too valuable. Who would keep The Ward Girls under control :lol:

I still don't understand why exactly this is happening. Is it supposed to make posting faster? Did the owner just decide that they wanted to try another server, for the heck of it? Is something happening to the server we're on now? I am very confused.
