Glad I got here intime to vote :)

Least:
5- the back ground and face seen to hav too similar colouring but i did like the crop
4- the icon is very dark over all
10- the contrast is very dramatic so that the background overpowers the pic

Best:
3: great cropping
8: text fits perfectly

01 - She kinds blends in with the background, and is difficult to make out.
05 - Again she doesn't really stand out from the background, and overall it seems a little pixely.
09 - It doesn't really look as though much has been done to the original pic.

Best:
07 - The effect works really well the pic, interesting colouring, overall, great icon.
10 - Interesting idea, I really like how the black and white pic shows up against the coloured background.

05: The subject is really grainy and the text seems either oversharpened or pixeled but it doesn't seem to compliment the icon very well.
10: Neat idea but the background seems to overpower Valera and it takes focus away.
07: The scratch texture covers some parts of Valera's face (specifically the area over her eye) and it seems to detract from the overall idea which is quite nice.

02: Again, beautiful colouring and use of text compliments it very well.

Ahem *scratches head*. I just discovered that I second all of Geni's reasons and votes in every detail and positioning, so I'm just gonna copy and paste it :angel:
