Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Four ~ Results! LIMS 7 Round 5: No Sharpen/Blur Tools The rules for this round are very simple: You cannot use sharpen or blur tools of any sort. Anything else, however, is allowed. The Caps: Bobby Dawson Rules: ~ This is an anonymous challenge, so don't go posting your icon anywhere until this round is over. ~ Your icon must not exceed 100x100px. It should be in .jpg, .png or .gif format. ~ You must use only the images provided ~ No animations will be permitted. ~ Submit your icon by sending me (Dragonfly) a PM with the subject line LIMS Round 5 or similar. ~ If you are unable to send PM's, you may use the hotmail address in my profile. Just include TalkCSI in the subject so it doesn't go in the junk folder ~ You may submit only ONE icon ~ If you wish to use your free pass for this round, you MUST send me a PM to let me know. Otherwise it won't count, and you will be disqualified. ~ The deadline for submissions will be Thursday March 19th. No extensions will be given
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby Does this mean that people can't vote against your icon because it's 'too blurry' or 'too sharp'?
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby ^Well, they should be taking that rule into consideration, so an 'it's too blurry' vote wouldn't really make sense.
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby Another quick question: Is the smudge tool considered a blur tool? Or can we still use that?
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby Okay, I'm a bit of a dork when it comes to these terms and techniques. So would changing the background to one that might be sharp or blurry.....is that considered using a "burring or sharpening tool"?
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby And what about using a blurred texture? As in, one that's already been blurred but not by me?
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby Oh, this sounds like an interesting challenge, I'd better get started.
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby Nope, sorry, no smudge tool Pre-made textures are fine. So is changing the background. If they're already blurry or sharp, that's okay, you just can't use the blur/sharpen/smudge tools on them.
Re: Talk LIMS #7: Challenge Five ~ Bobby I've sent mine in. Anything to procrastinate from my history essay.
