Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

You know, I liked this episode, but it was not nearly as funny as the last episode with those two "Ghostfacer" guys in it. I mean, there were lots of funny moments, but there were actually a couple times when it seemed a bit forced. I can't think of examples right now, of course...

Anyway, I definitely liked it, but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be and was definitetly not one of the better ones this season.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I didn't like Ghostfacers so much... dunno, that handcamera thing was rather unusual and strange, even though the "beeps" and skulls were hilarious. The story itself was ok but the one with Ed and Harry in season 1 was much better. Missed the typical Dean/Sam moments, wouldn't have needed much but a little bit more would have been great. However, can't wait for the next ones. Just 2 months left for Dean!

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I actually thought this episode was one of the better ones of this season. It was so different from what the show usually is and I admire the fact that TPTB decided to go so far out of left field and try something new.

This episode was a definite jab at shows like Celebrity Paranormal Project/Most Haunted/Ghost Hunters etc. And because I'm a fan of those shows, I loved the Supernatural rendition. Can I just say, gay love saving the day is pure gold.

*sigh* I love AJ Buckley. And his emotional scene at the end..*wipes eye* Aw.

I know some where disappointed (on other boards) that Sam and Dean didn't show up for 15 minutes but I liked it that way. It doesn't always have to be 100% Sam & Dean, so that was cool.

Great episode, in my opinion. :)

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I wished that the boys (The Hell Hound Boys) would have said WWBD again. That was a gold moment in Supernatural History.

I liked how it seemed like we were about to get our normal everyday Supernatural episode and then like in that episode last season when the show was cut out and something else was put in it's place... Ironically my TV was acting up so I thought that my channel was about to give out... until I saw the Hell Hounds. Then I was laughing.

oh my goodness me too, snd then everyone at my house proceeded to make fun of me. i can't help it, i just can not get sad when a grown man cries.
you know i was a bit surprised how little a lot of people didn't like the episode. i fricken loved it. the shaky camera gave me a headache(hello?cloverfield anyone?) but besides that i just thought it was great.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Just watched "Ghostfacers" loved this episode. Definatly one of the best this season (in my opinion).

Loved how the episode started with Ed and Harry doing the whole "If you are watching this then you must be a tv producer" thing. I really likes that this gave us a view of how our boys look like fom a diffrent point of view. It makes them look like assholes with little or no social skills (but we sill love them).

I'm excited and sad about how the season will end. Dean only has 2 months to go.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I admit. I only watched it for AJ Buckley. It's only the second episode I've ever seen, and I still get confused between which one is Dean and which is Sam, but apart from that I did quite like the show the first time I saw it and I do keep meaning to watch it when it's on.

AJ was awesome, I couldn't bare the shaky camera work though, and I struggled to watch it at times. But I did like the :censored: ghostfacers logos every time the characters used bad language, all in all the episode was just fun to watch. There was some great lines in the show, and it was all rather amusing. Even Corbett's death, sad as it was, had me laughing when gay love saved the day.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I'm also from the group of the "I only watched it because AJ was there"
I really enjoyed it, and I was amused about the Ghostfacers team having such a great part on the episode.
I felt dizzy with the shaky camera but I understand that was important for the story.

I've only watched like 5 episodes of SPN besides the 2 with AJ, so, Elsie, the one who played "Dean" on the "Gilmore Girls" is now "Sam" and the other is "Dean" or less confusing, the taller one is "Sam" and the "how pretty I am" is "Dean". ;)

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

welcome to the threead Hormiga and Elsie! you guys should definitely watch more if your into it, i promise its one of the best shows on tv.
the gay love line was awesome, and the whole 'you got to go be gay for that poor dead intern'. best line of the night. and him calling dean chisel chest lol so briliiant. i can believe i didn't mention it before.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

For some reason I wasn't that crazy about this episode and even watched it twice more, but it still didn't do something to me for some reason.

Sam in a party hat had me entertained tho and I thought I was seeing things, but obviously I wasn't.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Sam's party hat was just awesome. Especially since before he put it on he just watched the freaky ghost kill Corbit so he was like "Stay the :censored: away from me you crazy :censored:!"

Then we see the party hat and how aggravated he is and I cracked up.

This sort of reminded me of Blair's Witch Project, which Geni brought up the other day. Had the same vibe, until the ending of course and we switched to "professional filmography equipment.'

Still thought this episode was awesome..

I was upset though, that with two month's left until the big day, that they aren't fighting that hard to save Dean.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

^ Lol, and the fact that the episode was set in February and if so, then Dean would already be long dead. Yeah, I know, writers' strike. :p

It did strike me as odd that they aren't fighting that hard to save him since he has two months left. I know that if my big brother was headed for the iron gates in less than two months, I'd be running around the planet like a buzz ball on crack wielding a machete.

Can I just say, I love Corbett? Gah, he was just...that's what this show needs. I loved when he gave Ed the french vanilla coffee. Bless him.

Spoiler time! It was probably already posted but oh well.

So 'Long-Distance Caller' is looking interesting. The description from IMDB is:

Sam and Dean are on the trail of the Crocotta, an entity that secures its victims by communicating as a loved one via phone and computer. While Sam watches over a family being tormented by the ghostly communiques, Dean walks into a trap when a voice from beyond the grave gives the whereabouts of the demon who holds his contract.

So...Papa Winchester is probably this Crocotta thing. *sigh* Aw.

Also, the week after is called 'Time is on my Side'. I don't know what it's about 'cause I'm too lazy to go to supernatural.tv and see.

Oh please do keep watching! I have to admit, I was confused for the longest time as to which was Dean and which was Sam. And I didn't like it when I first saw it because it was a terrible episode from season 1 entitled 'Route 666' and it was just...bad. Anyway. The rest of the series is simply GOLD.

HEATHER! I love your avatar!

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

See, the way I remember it is, Dean's the hot one! Heh heh!

I know, I know- beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But this beholder is eyeing that beauty for sure! :p

I am super psyched for this week's episode after watching the preview. Looks pretty cool. I hope it's a rewarding episode. Plus, we're in the final countdown: only 3 left !

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

GAH that's so sad to know that we are having a shorter season this year. Stupid writer's strike. *le sigh* But I think we might have a postive outlook on things: the producers can't take the easy way out on Dean's Deal. Which is nice, I suppose... I'd just rather have 5 more episodes, even if it meant that the producers/writer's chose the easy way out. I'm easy to make happy.

Thanks Geni! When I saw that clip on the show I just knew right away that I had to MAKE an icon using a screen cap from that scene. I'm happy with the way it looks. The orginal was dark and looked like it came from a video camera clip  so I'm amazed to see how it looks now.

Dean is the shorter bad ass of the two, while Sam is the really tall and lanky one with really long hair. He also comes equipped with puppy dog eyes that he'll use at any moment's notice. :D

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

^ LOL that's how my family tells them apart.

Dad: Er, so which one is the one the girls love?
Mom: The short one.
Dad: Who's the tall one?
Mom: I don't know, I just call him the tall one.

I'm so sad there are only 3 left but excited that Dean's storyline comes to a conclusion finally. I'm so anxious to know how the deal pans out. And tomorrow's episode looks awesome. A real urban legend! Yay! Well, okay, not 'real' but you get the idea. :p
