Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines
 Me too and they still haven't used my favorite urban legend, at first that's what I thought the "Woman In White" episode was going to be, but it wasn't. Actually I don't really know how to describe it  It's about a woman who looks nice at first wearing something over her face and then taking it off and saying something like, "do you still think I'm pretty?" and it appears she's been cut from ear to ear, anyone else know of that one or have I been watching The Dark Knight too much?
I also think they should do something on the Winchester house
Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines
^Er.. sounds familiar. Is that the girl who was all over Sam, and then Sam shot her. Err.. or something like that?
Supernatural being renewed for another season is the best news of my day. And I agree about the urban legends. More individual ghosts, more awkward things happening to the boys, more girly shrieks from Dean (er.. did I just say that? :guffaw. Oh, and did I mention more clowns?
Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines
Hey, I just noticed we're close to being through with this thread. Are we gonna use the same title for the new thread or a different one?
More clowns? Well, I don't know about that, but... Have they done a Mummy yet? They did werewolves and vampires, scarecrows and witches. Have they done a Sandman type thing yet?
Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines
^^ Winchester House would be the coolest urban legend to go after. Though I'd assume they'd really have to go to the house which might require a budget and well...The CW doesn't know what one of those are...

But, that one person that posted on there about how the show is blasphemous because it mocks God and angels seriously annoys me! I'm so sick of people making comments like that. The poster after them is right. The bible says God flooded a whole place because it was filled with sinners. There is nothing that blaspheous about the way Supernatural portrays them. Yeesh. Castiel is awesome and has a heart (metaphorically speaking). The other one on the other hand is a big ol' jerk and I can't stand him.
I like that the show does deal with Heaven/Hell (even though Kripke said he wouldn't do that in season 2 :lol and that they do portray it with a sense of humour. I think if they went down the religious lore route with so much seriousness and attention to detail, the show would turn into a preachy Sunday Mass which I get enough of at home.
Although quick derail from that--funny story, I was at church on Christmas Eve and the priest was doing his gospel reading about the birth of Christ and he said something along the lines of - and I'm paraphrasing because I can't remember it word-for-word - "and the glory of God shone down upon them and they were terrified" (he was talking about the angels appearing to the shepards) and I leaned over to my sister, very excited, and said "THAT LINE WAS ON SUPERNATURAL!" It was on 'Houses of the Holy'. Anyway, it made me excited and then I realized I was such a SPN nerd.
YAY! Supernatural renewed for another season! *does a happy dance*
Looks like Kripke's going for the cliffhanger then.
And Misha said that if Supernatural gets picked up for a 5th season, he'll be a regular (which some already know) and Sera Gamble said he'll be on enough times the rest of this season to have his own drinking game so I'm holding her to it. Apparently he's in March 12th's episode
They sort of did in that black and white episode, when the Mummy escpaed from the museum but it was for 2 seconds and it wasn't exactly real 'lore'. (Ha, real lore)
I would think the Striga was more of a Sandman type of bad guy because it took the kids' energy and did it after crawling through their windows at night...but the Striga was a witch, if I recall so maybe it doesn't count.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines
YAY! More SUPERNATURAL! Since it is the ONLY show on TV I won't miss these days, this makes my day. Seems like they are avoiding the Angel/Demon storyline right now for a reason then, and I was hoping that was it. Hot damn!
I love the Angel/Demon stuff AND I love the old school stuff, so it's all good to me.
New title name? I do like the one we have, but I guess if we needed a new one, we should use another phrase the boys seem to use a lot... I don't know? Um, they say "Gank" a lot. Maybe we could work that into a title...? Hmmm.
Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines
How about "Demons and Angels" for the title? or Demon whispers are not reliable. or : "1-900-Angel". "With great power comes great responsibility." or "We're Monster Mashing This Town". or "Buckets of Crazy".
Dragonfly suggested a while back that we should call the next thread "a whole new level of freak".
"Stay away from daytime tv"
"Spoon Wacked"
"Bring in the clowns"
"Greatest hits of Mullet Rock"
"Myspace, What the Heck Is That?"
"No Chick-Flick Moments"
"Hunting is our day job and the pay is crap"
Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines
i like the myspace one, it literally made me lol.
but damn, you all are a creative bunch there's a whole heaping of great choices you all suggested.
and i can not believe we went through this thread that fast. yay us *high 5's everyone*
Sam and Dean investigate a small town where people are cheating death. They discover the Reapers have gone missing so they turn to Pamela (guest star Traci Dinwiddie) for help. She sends them into the spiritual world to find answers and they come face to face with Alastair (guest star Christopher Heyerdahl), who has been kidnapping all the Reapers in order to break another seal. 02/24 - Lilith will likely raise her adorable little demonic head again in episode 20. Supernatural is casting for a suddenly possessed cutie-pie 11-year-old who turns into an evil ice queen. (And that's Lilith if I've ever heard her described.) Source: Kristin on E!Online
02/24 - Dean and Bobby are going to stage an intervention on Sam for just that and keep him prisoner. Source: Kristin on E!Online
Maybe [the big Winchester brawl that's going to happen in the season finale] has something to do with Sam's demon blood addiction. Or maybe it's fallout from a certain death that's coming up in April. Source: The Ausiello Files
