Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I think he and Ruby are going to go after Lilith by themselves. Or maybe they're going to find other hunters to recruit?

As for Jay, if it were me and my best friend had killed people in that manner no matter whether they were aholes or not, I would probably feel that the friend was way off their rocker and either belonged in the looney bin or would be better off dead (as everyone else would be safer with him dead), but that's just my view on it. I don't think I would second guess my decision to save the lives of strangers who didn't deserve to die over a friend who'd lost his mind and killed in cold blood. I don't believe those people deserved to die. They deserved to have their butts kicked, sure, but didn't deserve to die just because they are smart alecs. I guess Jay was kind of feeling both ends. He didn't think those people deserved to die either, but at the same time he didn't want his friend to die either.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Yeah well there's no doubt Charlie went outer limits. And I don't think Barry Bostwick's character (sorry, can't remember the name) had any second guessing- he didn't waste a whole lot of time wasting his friend. Still, it can't have felt good to kill someone who was only trying to help you, even in a twisted way; that's all I'm saying. I just see why he was so upset at the end.

No, it sounds like there's something extra unusual that Sam has to do- what could be so bad that Sam hasn't wanted to do it until now? I mean, he got over the scariness of using his powers... so what's bothering him now? What's so extreme that he didn't want to do it before? I really don't think the idea of facing Lillith scares him more than normal- he has faced her and made it out alive before. They've totally piqued my curiosity with this one, I gotta admit.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I sort of have a theory ... umm and I'm never good at putting them into words that people can understand
Sometime this season, Sam has his evil turn ...
With how Ruby said that the seals are more than half way open, on the episode. I feel that Sam knows that they may not be able to stop all of the seals from opening ... and he takes matters into his own hands in order to stop them. By maybe making a deal to stop the opening of the seals, or
maybe he makes a deal to turn bad in order to stop the seals from breaking...

I can't wait for the next episode, I love the episodes that show the flashbacks of the young Winchesters. Speaking of young ... I stumbled across a picture of Jensen that I've never seen before  Looks like he's channeling his inner Justin Timberlake :guffaw:

Boyband Material? oh and I just like this one and actually I've never seen it ... Excuse me  Ok I'm good ;)

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I know I just read that earlier today, I loved a lot of his work Supernatural and Xfiles as well.

On Supernatural, Manners most recently directed this season's premiere, "Lazarus Rising," as well as "Metamorphosis."

He has directed some of the best episodes of Supernatural.

- Dead In the Water
- Shadow
- Devil's Trap
( One of the best episodes period ) In My Time of Dying
- Heart
- All Hell Breaks Loose
- Mystery Spot
- No Rest For the Wicked
( The last episode he directed was Family Remains )

I'm sure he'll be missed, by the cast and crew and all of the fans as well :(

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Yep, the one where Dean said he "Full on Swayzed that mother," :guffaw: that is still my favorite quote ... well so far :p

That whole episode is awesome!

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Oh no!!! That's so sad! The guys always said they loved when he filmed because he was so easy to work for... That's a big loss to the show, for sure. RIP Mr. Manners. You were amazing at your job.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Geez, that's so sad! :( My fave episode is Mystery Spot. And he directed that one too.

Edited ... found something.

First of all no Castiel until March! :shifty: Oh come on!

Ok ... on to what I really came to post

Upcoming Episodes:

Sex and Violence - A siren casts a spell on Sam and Dean while they are on a mission in Iowa, leading to their violent behavior.

Death Takes a Holiday - Dean and Sam are clueless on what they are dealing with when they find a town where no one can die; a woman survives a certainly fatal car crash, a man walks away unharmed after falling off a building and a 6 year-old girl lives after flatlining.

And a spoiler:

A secret is revealed that will make Dean feel guilty for all of eternity. [The long-lost Winchester brother will appear in an episode titled] "Jump the Shark." Dean's sex partner Anna is returning later this season.

Seriously, the title of the episode is Jump the Shark? I have the feeling that's what they're doing, the show has always been about two brother's journey ... not three. I could be wrong and they can play it a lot better than it sounds, but still :shifty:

How about an episode review :p
Sam and Dean both looked mighty fine ... and guh Jensen's legs are gosh darn cute :p

Loved Dean hitting on the teacher :guffaw: Sweetheart and Sugar ... though did anyone catch that Brock (the actor) had what sounded like a nothern accent ... kind of sounded like a Jersey accent ... but it could just be me :)

:guffaw: Sam a midget ... never thought I'd hear Sam and midget in the same sentence.

LMAO at Sam when the student that was possesed by Dirk fell on top of him ... Dean's line, "hey he's giving you the full cowgirl" :guffaw:

I especially like how in the beginning, Sam is the one who's having a hard time and it ends with Dean having the hard time. Pretty good episode ;)

i agree best line of the night. and i loved how at the end sam went to see his teacher and tell he thanks, that was sweet although it made me sad that he didn't say he was happy :(

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Gah! Another amazing episode. It just doesn't stop! I absolutely loved this one. Both of the younger versions of the brother were just perfect in their roles.

Like fo_poozle said, I loved the end scene with Sam going to thank the teacher. It just broke my heart. Poor Sammy :(

Did I mention that I absolutely loved this episode? Because I did :p

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

"I'm very pro-slut."

Um, this may just be me, but I would think you'd drown a lot faster if you're screaming as you're being pushed under.

Swedish exchange students. I can just picture Dean trying that accent. haha.

Teen Dean even sounds a little like Jensen...

Teacher: Is there anything you'd like to tell the class about yourself?
Dean: Not really, sweetheart.

Teacher: Where are your books?
Dean: Don't need 'em, sugar.

 that's our Dean.

 at Dean in the gym shorts.

"The whistle makes me their God."

Hand in the blender- yikes!

"FYI- three of the cheerleaders are legal. Guess which ones."-Dean
Sam: No.

"The chic got swirlied to death."

"You like animals?"
"They're a lot nicer than people."

"I don't do parents."

That guy teacher looks familiar (Sam's teacher)

"Here ghostie ghostie ghostie." LMAO!

"He's giving you the full cowgirl." ROTFL!

THat creature in the preview looks like a cross between the master on Buffy and the "gentlement" in the "hush" ep of Buffy.
