Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

SO GOOD. i totally loved this creepy ass episode, i think its one of my faves this season. i liked that they went back to the scary. it kind of reminded me a little bit of season one which i liked. and i don't know if any of you ever saw that movie 'the people under the stairs' but this episode so reminded me of that movie.

FieldMouse that sucks, hopefully you'll be able to catch some of the parts you missed, on youtube maybe?

I'll see it someday. I had hoped they'd have it on their website, but I didn't see it on there. Maybe they'll put it up at some point. :)

Does hulu.com have Supernatural episodes? I know you can purchase Supernatural episodes on amazon for like $1.99 or maybe its $2.99, I can't remember.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

When I first started watching the episode, for some reason it reminded me of The Amityville Horror, really don't know why it did, though. Excellent episode ... though the twins gave me the creeps.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Finally got to see the episode yesterday. Naturally, I loved it. I love that there were no ghosts or anything, just creepy, messed up humans. Yet another win for Supernatural. I don't think there have been any this season that I haven't absolutely loved.

Also, did anyone else want to give Dean a big hug at the end?

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

^^^ I ALWAYS want to give Dean a big hug at the end!

Oh, you mean to be compassionate... ;)

Yes, of course that's what I meant. Why, what did you think?

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

* Raises Hand * Me too! You know when Dean doesn't eat something is defiantly bugging him, the look on Sam's face at that part was cute too, well until Dean started to tell him what was bugging him.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Stumbled upon a spoiler that made me think of one I read a while ago.

1: A secret is revealed that will make Dean feel guilty for all of eternity.
(Hmm, could it be about someone he tortured or a soul he destroyed? Bella maybe ... a family member ... yet another thing I can't wait to see!

2: Episode 18 (Stranger Than Fiction) * ta da * look who's back [LILITH] (20s - 40) Beautiful, hot, sexy and seductive, a badass demon in a dental hygienist's body. The ultimate dealmaker and manipulator, she is out for herself. She will do, or kill anyone in order to accomplish her devious mission (alright it said Dental Hygienist's body, that totally reminded me of this spoiler) ... Supexecs are casting the role of a sexy and smart thirtysomething doctor who likes booze and one night stands. And young men with the last name Winchester. The younger Winchester will soon meet a doctor with whom he hits it off. And by hit it off, I mean they get nekkid. So could this possibly be ... Sam and Lilith?! Holy Mother of Crap...

and ...

[In an upcoming episode,] reapers in a small town are getting killed, so Sam and Dean become ghosts to travel in the ghost world and figure out what's going on. [...] A character we know and love dies in the [...] episode.

 Dying ... :( Don't be Bobby ... or Cas!

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Nikky, I very much agree with the end of your spoiler! (I don't know how to make a spoiler box myself so I won't reply in any other way. :p)

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Marns, you know how to type out a url and use a word for a link? It's basically the same thing ;) or if you want the easy way out ... hit go advanced and then the smilie that looks like it's holding its breath

This is interesting on what I just found on wikipedia, we all know how Eric Kripke researches everything ... so regarding the spoiler I read about Sam
The marriage of Samael and Lilith is known as the "Angel Satan" or the "Other God," but it was not allowed to last. To prevent Lilith and Samael's demonic children from filling the world, God castrated Samael. So with how Eric researches everything, I wonder if he paid attention that there is a demon named Samael :wtf:

Samael is a figure who is accuser, seducer and destroyer, and has been regarded as both good and evil. Samael is a power, powers are Warrior Angels against evil defending the cosmos and humans. They are known as potentates. They fight against evil spirits who attempt to wreak chaos through human beings. The chief is said to be either Samael or Camael, both angels of darkness.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

I just saw a message on my cable box last night that said we may no longer recieve ABC and CW after Jan 31st. It said those channels are posting messages the cable company thinks are distasteful (whatever that means). But, the messages on the actual channels said to go to channel 24 (ABC)'s website to find out how to continue to get the channels. That website said its a contract issue and the contract has to do with the switch to digital and that those channels haven't renewed their contracts yet or something... or that the cable company doesn't like their offers. So, I went to my cable provider's website and sent them a message telling them I'd like to continue to recieve channel 30 (CW) since one of my favorite shows (Supernatural) was on that channel. I don't get a care about ABC cause I watch nothing on that channel.

But, I'm gonna be peeved if I can no longer watch Supernatural after next week. The stupid tv guide (magazine, official one I mean) already quit listing the CW in its grid pages (which I emailed them about and told them I wouldn't renew my subscription if they didn't start listing it again). We're already considering getting rid of cable and getting direct tv or something like that. We pay over eighty bucks for 200 something channels when over 50 are nothing by radio channels that just show ads while they play music. How irritating is that?

Anyway, does anyone know if Supernatural is available on hulu.com or some other similiar site? Or is the eps can be watched on CW's site like CSI can on CBS's site?

I'm really upset at the thought that I might not get to watch my show anymore. :(

All the stuff about Lilith and Sameal is interesting, but I really hope the show doesn't put Sam with Lilith. He's already been with one demon (Ruby). Speaking of which, when the spoiler said a character we know and love will die in an ep, maybe that means Ruby (some people love her). I hope its not Cas or Bobby... especially Bobby because the boys already lost their biological father and shouldn't lose another father figure.

Last night's episode:

The title "Criss Angel is a douchebag" still cracks me up and the fact that Jeb was kind of a lookalike to Criss Angel.

 at Dean's expression when that guy asked what his safe word is.

Death transference... hmm...

"Do you think we'll die before we get old?"
"Haven't we both already?" haha

"What kind of koolaid you drinking?"

"Cut the head off the snake."
"The problem with the swnake is it has a thousand heads. Evil bitches just keep piling out of the Volkswagon."

"The thing about real magic is its a whole lot like crack. People will do surprising things once they get a taste of it."

"I'm not Guttenberg and this ain't Cocoon."

I don't get Jay's attitude. He made the decision to stop Charlie yet he was saying basically that he didn't feel it was so right after all??

surfthechannel.com has the episodes up quickly.

I don't get to watch Supernatural until tonight, so I can't read the rest of your post yet! Stay tuned, my observations/comments will follow after... ;)

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

Dean always gets the best lines. I still think back to how Jensen originally tried out for the role of Sam, but then read the script and said "I like Dean; he's funny." So, he became Dean and they found Jared for Sam.

Re: Supernatural #2 -Saving People, Hunting Things, the Family Busines

OK, watched it and loved it! Yay. This is seriously the best season ever. Non-stop excellent episodes. Fantastic. Kripke better re-evaluate this sudden conversion to only 4 seasons. I want my freaking fifth season! The improved ratings say it all, really.

Yep, Dean absolutely cracks me up. Jensen has excellent comic timing. And you know, there's something to be said here for playing "straight man". Jared is no slouch either. And I mean, seriously, all you have to do is watch interviews with Jared to see that he is SO not as serious as Sam- clearly, the boy can act. Good work, gentlemen. I applaud you both.

It was cool to see Barry Bostwick in this episode. I'm an old school fan, so I can really get behind all the old 80's actors I remember. He did a great job, too. Oh, and to the comments above about not understanding why he was pissed at the end... well, as twisted as Charlie was, he was totally loyal to him, and he was doing everything with his success in mind. So even though he did the right thing morally, how would you feel about basically killing your closest friend over a bunch of a-holes and a couple of complete strangers? That'd leave a sour taste in my mouth too.

God, I'm dying to know what Sam's up to now. I seriously have no idea what he's planning. Anybody have any non-spoiler based theories? I really have no clue as to the gameplan, and I'm intrigued.
