I'm so over the whole Horatio-drama since the 3rd season with Ray still being alive and then moved to Brazil where he F***s up again and dies just scant months after Marisol who Horatio "rescued" as a damsel in distress. I'm pretty much over this current version of Horatio. I should have said Super Horatio. I no longer have any respect for him after "To Kill a Predator". It was unnecessary and far too brutal for him to beat the snot out of the guy and we know he really did it, so nobody fall into fooling yourselves that he didn't. I don't care how squicky (squishy and icky combined) it is for someone who should know better to be lured into pedophilia, it's still unacceptable for an officer of the law to assault a suspect/offender. It's called Police Brutality and while Chicago has a severe amount of offenses (to our everlasting embarrassment), it's still not right. I would LOVE that to come to light and for H to take the heat for it. It would really be a fantastic story to tell.
I can understand why a lot of people don't have patience for the "Super H" version of Horatio. I don't care for that version of Horatio myself.
However, only a victim of a pedophile could truly understand the horror and lifelong pain these soul-less creatures inflict on their victims. And trust me when I say the word "squicky" doesn't come close to describing these useless pieces of human flesh that prey upon innocent children. Disgusting, demented, sick, depraved, inhuman, without compassion, devoid of humanity, and I've just scratched the surface.
We all see the situations we are presented on this show from our own perspective. Infinite diversity. It's what makes life interesting.
I lost some respect for Horatio when he cold-bloodedly killed the guy in Rio.
IF, as strongly insinuated, he inflicted bodily harm on the pedophile, he should be held accountable. OTHO, Horatio isn't the only character on this show who hasn't had to take responsbility for inappropriate actions. So I'd like to see the sitution addressed when they decide that all the characters should face the penalty for their inappropirate actions.
I'm thrilled to see that Horatio and Yelina will have some major interaction coming up. I think Yelina is a great character and I've missed her. She is the only character on the show that can bring out Horatio's humanity. I think Kyle has that potential, but we need to see them interact a little more. Maybe when the grenade goes off we'll see some fatherly concern. I'm for anyone or anything that brings any part of the old Horatio back.
It looks the episodes leading up the the finale are going to be pretty good! Fingers crossed.
