Speed Therapy #5: 'Understanding The Full Speed Effect'

Well you know me, I like to help keep things civil around here...From a distance. ;)

I'm glad you like the picture. :D It certainly is one of my favorites and I'm glad I found it in my files. I especially love the green dress shirts though. Green really is his colour. :)

I have a question to help the therapy along. What are y'alls favorite Speed quote and why? Mine is:

Speed: I'm going to let you tell that to the family of the girl who was murdered here last night. I'm going to let you tell them that we can't proces this crime scene because you have a permit for a party. And then I'm going to arrest your cheap tequila pushing ass and have you spend the night in lockup with all the drunken disorderlies and you can smell the vomit of the fraternity boys.

:lol: He sure has a way of charming the pants off of us with his colourful language. ;)

The green dress shirts are quite nice, I'd say they're my 2nd favorite after the white ones.

To answer your question...I'm not sure I can come up with just one favorite quote, there's so many great ones.

This is off the top of my head, and I'm not sure it counts as a quote, but I just found it so funny. In 'Golden Parachute' when Speed and Delko are looking for the black boxes from the plane, and Speed is stand there with the dude, then he looks over at Eric:

Speed: Hey! You got a locator signal?
Delko: Yep!
Speed: *looks at dude* tsk-tsk-tsk

:lol: I love that part as well. When I first saw that scene I almost died. (Well, not literally of course) But I remember thinking when I was watching season 2, "Why doesn't he do that anymore? That's not fair" :p But he had a few hilarious moments in two seasons.

If I had to pick another favorite quote/scene, it would have to be Grand Prix. I think we can all agree ladies, that when Speed laughed, our hearts skipped a beat. :D

Alexx: Whew, Jimmy Hutton.
Speed: You do realize he's won the least amount of races.
Alexx: Didn't know, don't care.
Speed: *laughs* Does your husband know about this?
Alexx: *smiles* We have a look, don't touch rule. He's taller than I expected.
Speed: Maybe guiltier too.
Alexx: What?
Speed: PD just caught him doing 120 heading out of state.
Alexx: No.
Speed: Yeah.
Alexx: No, no not my Jimmy.
Speed: Yes!

:lol: That has got to be near the top of my list of great Speed scenes/quotes. He just seemed so happy in that scene, and we barely ever got to see a happier side of Speed. *sigh*

I want that on a tee shirt. *sighs wistfully* I'm having a Speedle revival at my house, as I'm re-watching the first two series (but not that third series episode, because that one does not exist). Everyone bring cookies and we'll have us a Tim-fest.
 
Hmm...I'm not a big fan of the green dress shirts. I'm not sure of my favorite one. But I do like the black ones (of course) and then much tighter fitting ones...don't care what color as long as there tighter. lol.

And ugh its so hard to pic just one favorite Speed quote. Its just like Eric/Speed scenes and Speed/Calleigh scenes I can't pic just one. So i'll just put the one I like to say all the time "That stuff will rot your stomach out" Talking about coffee in Losing Face

And I also say "Well stole is very negative." but of course I replace stole with the word that fits the situation i'm in. lol.

But I can't just pic one favorite scene. Its waaay to hard. Well atleast for me anyway.
 
I agree with you in a sense that there are a lot of great Speed quotes. I think just about everything he says is great. :p We were very lucky that the writers knew what to do with his character-in the first two seasons at least.

I think a lot of my favorite Speed lines came from when he was telling someone off. You kind of had to say "GO SPEED!" during those parts. :lol: Examples of that would be 'Broken', 'Spring Break', 'Tinder Box', 'Grand Prix'.

I'm pretty sure there was more, but my brain doesn't want to turn on this morning, so if you guys can find more, give it a shot. :)
 
Aww! I loved Broken...how Speed couldn't look at Ruthie for more then a couple a seconds. Shows he cared and wasn't "sloppy" and that his job wasn't just "A paycheck" Anyway....I love it when Speed calls people "jackass" its just so...awesome.
 
I loved Broken as well. I know that some people have a problem with that episode because it involved a child murder, but they handled the episode really well and it turned out to be really entertaining.

And I really loved how Speed couldn't look at her, as Katie mentioned above. It's kind of sweet in a way because he's supposed to be this big tough guy who doesn't crack, and he can't bring himself to look at a dead child. :( Aw.

I also kind of found it interesting in the episode where Speed was examining the 'undergarments' and he says to Horatio "He plays with them like toys" and Horatio says "Until they break" ...I just found that to be one of the most powerful scenes in that episode. I mean, you could hear the frustration in Speed's voice as he said the first line.

*sigh* But anyway I'm getting too psycho-analytical so I'll just sit here quietly and have some crackers.
 
Awww I forgot about that scene with Horatio and Speed. That was a really powerful scene.

Another scene I liked Speed in was in Rap Sheet when him and Eric were collecting the cell phones

Girl: What am I supposed to do for 4 hours?
Speed: I don't know. Stop talking?

He's just so....blunt...I guess is the word I'm lookin for and it makes it cute.
 
:lol: I loved Rap Sheet. I liked the part where they're in the woman's house looking for evidence and everything Speed says is negative. My mom was watching that and she said "And you like him? My good God he's so pessimistic" and I answered her with "Well at least he's professional. Look at Eric. One look at a pretty girl and the case blows right out the window." *runs from Delko fans*

...Yeah my mom doesn't watch Miami with me anymore. :lol:
 
Haha. Isn't Rap Sheet the one where Eric and Speed are in the locker room and the guys like "It isn't that kind of gym."? Because I remember laughing so hard at that scene because Speed and Eric looked at eachother or something. I dunno its been awhile since I've seen that episode.

...Yeah I was going to watch s2 before school started again and I have like....a week and a couple days left...I better get on that.
 
Yeah, that was Rapsheet. I watched that one a few days ago....now I know which S1 I'm watching next! *cough* Broken *cough*
